James Fisher
James Fisher, 63, of Charlotte died May 19, 1999.
Mr. Fisher was born April 5, 1936, the son of Henry and Nora Fisher.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Martha Jane (Smith); and two sisters, Dorothy Henmminger Springfield, Ore., and Jennie Foss of Hastings.
He was preceded in death by one brother, George.
Graveside services were May 25 at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Charlotte with the Rev. Rich Mitterling officiating.
Arrangements were made by Pray Funeral Home.
Harriet Mae Fisk
Harriet Mae Fisk, age 85, of Eaton Rapids died Sunday, April 25, 1999 at her residence. She was born October 14, 1913 in Vermontville, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Nora (Reynolds) Wright. Mrs. Fisk was a member of the Assembly of Yehweh Church in Eaton Rapids and had worked with the foster grandparent program at the Lockwood Elementary School in Eaton Rapids. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Fisk in 1974.
Surviving are 11 children, Florabell Benedittine, Phyllis Hansen, Jean Ross, June Sorenson, Hubert James Fisk, Herbert (Sue) Fisk, Frieda Thomas, Linda (Larry) Eickenroth, Mike Fisk, Silas Nichols, and Ellabeth (Ed) Graham; 28 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Izzard and Lillian Crandell and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 30th at 1 p.m. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids with the Pastor Samuel Graham of the Assembly of Yehweh Church officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Munger Cemetery in Eaton Rapids. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. For those desiring, a memorial contribution may be made to the Assembly of Yehweh Church in memory of Harriet M. Fisk.
Larry Fogg
Larry Eugene Fogg, 56, of Lansing, formerly of Potterville, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999. Mr. Fogg was born March 29, 1942 in Homer, the son of Neil and Aurelia (Wallace) Fogg.
He retired from GM-Lansing in 1998 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed collecting cars and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of Lansing; mother, Aurelia (Harry) Purucker of Battle Creek; children, Misty (Eric) Clark and Staci Fogg, both of Potterville, and Sheri (Greg) Rees of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Eric and Courtlyn Clark and Zachary, Trevvor and Lyndsey Rees; sisters, Barbara Jean (Travis) Turner and Dodie Bennett; and brothers, Duane (Barb) Fogg, Phillip (Eloise) Fogg and Dane Fogg; and special friend, Barbara Fogg.
He was preceded in death by his father, Neil Fogg in 1968.
Services were held Jan. 29 at the Palmer-Bush Lansing Chapel with Pastor David Stephens of Life Christian Church officiating.
Interment was in Benton Township Cemetery in Potterville.
Floyd Foltz
Floyd Foltz, 88, of Lansing, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999 at a Lansing nursing home.
Mr. Foltz was born April 22, 1911 in North Adams, a son of Fred and Anna (Thomas) Foltz. He was a retired Diamond Reo employee and a member of the Sunfield United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Maxine; one daughter, Gail Arndt of Grand Ledge; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Private services were held Aug. 27 at Balcom Cemetery, near Ionia.

Jean Fox
Jean Marie Fox, 74, of Vermontville died Oct. 14, 1999.
Mrs. Fox was born June 17, 1925, the daughter of George Jr. and Mary (Rumley) Knowles. She was co-owner and secretary/treasurer of Citizens Elevator, Vermontville, for many years. She was a member of St. Cyril Roman Catholic Church, Nashville and its Altar Society, the Parent/Teacher Assoc. and Band Boosters secretary for Maple Valley Schools. She was a true homemaker and loved her children and grandchildren very much who, in turn, loved her very much. Raising her 10 children was her greatest pride and accomplishment.
She is survived by her husband, William; seven daughters, Kathleen (Earnest) Smith of Plano, Texas, Laurine Fox of New York, NY, Mary (Jerry) Greenwood of Germantown, MD, Ann (Richard) Crow of Dripping Springs, Texas, Lizabeth (Thomas) Brott of Lansing, Sharon (Jerry) Harris of Vermontville, and Susan (Andy) Joostberns of Las Vegas, NV; three sons, David of Okemos, Christopher of Rialto, Calif., and Theodore (Pamela) of El Centro, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation and Rosary are Sunday, Oct 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
Services are Monday, Oct. 18 at St. Cyril Church, Nashville, with Fr. Chuck Fischer officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Maple Valley Scholarship Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Larry Lee Franklin
Larry Lee Franklin, age 68, died Sunday, July 25, 1999 in Lansing. Larry was born April 7, 1931 in Onondaga, MI the son of Joseph W. and Susan (Stewart) Franklin. Mr. Franklin retired from the Ingham County Road Commission in 1983 after 35 years of service. He was a Past Master of the Onondaga Masonic Lodge #167 and a member of the Leslie Masonic Lodge #212. Larry was a member of the Michigan Fiddlers Association and was a volunteer with the Onondaga Fire Department wearing Badge #6. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence, I 1994.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Joanne (Brian) Owen of Eaton Rapids, Susan (Mark) Prater, Patricia (Tim) Reed both of Onondaga; 2 sons, Victor (Lois) Franklin of Onondaga and Michael (Floria) Franklin of Eaton Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Harvey (Eva) Franklin of Onondaga, Jerry (Jean) Franklin of Leslie, and George (Ruth) Franklin of Brighton; 2 sisters, Wanda Kitchen of Narrow Lake and Sheila Doxtader of Leslie; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 1999, 1 p.m. at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids with Rev. William Muller, Pastor of the Onondaga Community Church UCC officiating. Interment will follow at the Onondaga Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Victor Franklin, Michael Franklin, Brian Owen, Mark Prater, Tim Reed, Joseph Owen, and Michael Paul Franklin.
Honorary bearers will be Lynn Clark, Don Foote, Guy Lincoln, Lisa Franklin, Amy Franklin, Lucinda Owens, Tiffany Franklin, David Prater, Natasha Prater and Jacob Reed.
Raymond Franks
“Elisha” Raymond Franks, 84, of Vermontville died Oct. 19, 1999 at his home.
Mr. Franks was born May 25, 1915, the son of Elisha and Rosa (Schaeffer) Franks in Portland, Ind. He attended north and south Kalamo country schools and married Dorothy Pease Feb. 25, 1938 in Bellevue. He was a lifelong farmer and was a past master of the Maple Leaf Grange. He attended the Kalamo United Methodist Church and enjoyed his cottage on Middle Lake, fishing and farming.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Virgil (Kathy) of Bellevue and Robert (Barbara) of Vermontville; four grandchildren, Andrew Franks, Robert Franks, Lisa Mahan and Daniel Franks; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Belva, Emerson, and Duane.
Services were Oct. 22 at the Maple Valley Chapel, Nashville. Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery in Kalamo Township.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mary Pearl French
Mary Pearl French, age 73, of Jackson, Michigan, died April 24, 1999. Mrs. French was born January 16, 1926 in Lee Center the daughter of George Benjamin and Mary Ethel (Andrews) Hall.
She is survived by sons, Frank Joe (Lois) Smedley of Jackson and William Smedley of Leominster, MA; 8 grandchildren; brother, George Z. Hall of Charlotte; sisters, Pauline Bruce of Charlotte and Ida French of Charlotte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 1999 at the Pray Funeral Home with Rev. Winfred Collins officiating. Interment will be in Lee Center Cemetery in Lee Center, Michigan. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 27, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
