Margaret Letia Hunt
Margaret Letia Hunt, 76, of Charlotte, died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999.
Mrs. Hunt was born Feb. 1, 1923 in Charlotte, the daughter of John and Letia (Clever) Myers.
Surviving are her children, John Elkins of Utah, Patsy Elkins of MO, Tom Hunt of Charlotte, Annie (Theodore) Carmoney and Raymond Hunt, both of Charlotte, Howard Hunt of Kalamazoo; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, John (Mary) Myers Jr.; sisters, Beverly Cole of Springport and Frances Uhl of Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 1972; brother, William Myers in 1999; and sisters, Maybell Parker in 1994, Helen Waters in 1987 and Caroline Parker in 1981.
Funeral services were held Oct. 26 at Pray Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Peter R.K. Brenner officiating. Interment was at Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte.

Sheila Hunter
Sheila M. Hunter, 65, of Mulliken died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999 at St. Lawrence Hospital in Lansing following a heart attack.
Mrs. Hunter was born May 16, 1933 in Ohio, the daughter of Abe and Beth Fisher. She was a member of Mulliken United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas; six children, David VanEpps of Mill Valley, Calif., Eleanor VanEpps of Lansing, Connie Lathrop of Charlotte, Barbara (Ken) Keelan of Warren, Debra (Randy) Bouverette of Elkton and James Hunter, at home; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 3 at Barker-Leik Funeral Home in Mulliken with Pastor Don Woolum officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Joyce Huss
Joyce Huss, 65, of Battle Creek, formerly of Nashville, died Nov. 15, 1999 at the Battle Creek Health System.
Mrs. Huss was born May 29, 1934 in Hastings, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Chaffee) McClurkin. She attended Hastings High School and married Richard Huss in Hastings April 25, 1953. She was a homemaker and a cook at Court Street in Hastings and the Vollage Inn restaurant in Nashville. She attended the Nashville Assembly of God, and enjoyed her family, traveling in her motor home, garage sales and collecting Fenton Art glass cats.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; three daughters, Julia (Harold) Hill of Dowling, Kathryn (Shon) Harwood of Nashville, and Cynthia (Shane) Wright of Hastings; five grandchildren, Jodi (Chris) Piper, Jennifer Lepper, Richard Harwood, John Harwood, and Eric Wright-Dorsk; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Francis (Gene) Weeks of Delton and Julia McClurkin of Hastings; and twin brothers, LeRoy (JoAnn) McClurkin of Hastings, and Ira McClurkin of Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence McClurkin.
Services were Nov. 17 at Maple Valley Chapel, Nashville, with the Rev. Glenn Branham officiating. Interment was in the Lakeview Cemetery, Nashville.

Jeanne Marie Ide
Jeanne Marie Ide, age 76, of Springfield, TN died Friday, September 3, 1999 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Mrs. Ide was born in Windsor, Ontario (Canada), January 23, 1923, the daughter of Christopher and Jenny Jenking Mullally. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, personnel director of United Ministries, and a member of the Over 50 Club.
Mrs. Ide is survived by her husband, Gerald D. Ide; daughter, Tracy M. Auwaerter, Craig, CO; son, Terry J. Ide, Adrian, MI; brothers, James Mullally, Howell, MI, Philip Mullally, Brighton, MI; Jack Mullally, Owosso, MI; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with Father Mark Beckman officiating. Burial followed in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield, TN.
Michael Ide
Michael P. Ide, 70, of Potterville, died Feb. 20, 1999 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, after a short illness.
Mr. Ide was born in Appomattow, VA, the son of Warren and Sadie (Williamson) Ide and had been a Potterville resident since 1972 coming from Lansing. He had been employed by the Grand Trunk Western Railroad retiring in 1990 after 38 years of service and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marion (LeBlanc); two daughters, Debra (John) Kranas of Dansville and Judy Ide of Lansing; one son, Michael P. (Opal) Ide II of Haslett; two stepdaughters, Virginia (Craig) Carrier of Dimondale and Vicky (Brian) Anderson of Charlotte; eight grandchildren and one special granddaughter, Kayla “Bubin”; six great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Ide.
Services were held Feb. 24 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Chapel in Charlotte. Interment was in Deepdale Memorial Park in Lansing.

Martha Jacobs
Martha J. Jacobs, 61, of Lansing died May 26, 1999.
Mrs. Jacobs was born Aug. 13, 1937 in Charlotte, the daughter of Albert and Charlene (Wing) (Kruger) Waterhouse. She was a 1955 graduate of Potterville High School and serviced with the Air Force Reserves.
She is survived by her mother of Pahrump, Nev.; her twin sister, Marla Wythe of Pahrump; three daughters, Laura (Ron) Castlebury of Garnett, Kans., Becky (George) Sell of Ottawa, Kans., and Chris (Richard) Dewey of Ottawa; two sons, Marlin (Glee) Jacobs of Clifton and Bruce (Susan) of Peabody, Kans.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Kruger and stepfather, Bert Waterhouse.
There was no service. Arrangements were made by the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.

John Robert James
John Robert James, age 18, of Eaton Rapids died Saturday, August 21, 1999 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born June 5, 1981 in Eaton Rapids. John was a Senior at the Eaton Rapids High School, he loved all sports especially football and motocross racing. He was a member of the Eaton Rapids Wesleyan Church. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, William and Patricia Shepardson.
Surviving are his parents, Frederic and Sheryl James of Eaton Rapids; brother, Andrew; grandparents, Frederick & June James of National City, MI; great-grandpa, Willard Desgrange; aunts, Jodey Shepardson, Jeannie (Ben) Dancer, Elizabeth (Steven) Pell and Shelly (Mike) Castagnasso; several great aunts and great uncles and cousins and many many special friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 24th at 1 p.m. from the Eaton Rapids Wesleyan church with Rev. Dennis Perkins officiating. For those desiring, a memorial contribution may be made to either the Eaton Rapids Wesleyan Church Building Fund or the Eaton Rapids Medical Center Building Fund in memory of John Robert James.
Robert Jaquette
Robert Jaquette, 68, of Charlotte, died July 3, 1999 at his home after an extended illness.
Mr. Jaquette was born in Charlotte, the son of Darwin and Helen (Johnson) Jaquette, and was a lifelong Charlotte area resident. He was a 1948 graduate of the Walton Township Unit School (now Olivet High School), a member of the Evangel Christian Church, Society of Automotive Engineers and a former Grange member. He was employed by Air Way Manufacturing Co., Olivet, and retired in 1994 after 37 years of service. He married Valdean Parr June 11, 1950 at the Five Corners Church, Charlotte.
He is survived by his wife, Valdean; four daughters, Deanne (Bruce) Davis, Sharon (Stephen) Arnold, Marlene (Larry) Linn, and Maria (Jack) Beam, all of Charlotte; three sons, David Jaquette of Charlotte, John (Donna) Jaquette of Crandall, Texas, and Timothy (Lisa) Jaquette of Bellevue; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Sharp of Charlotte and Ruth (George) Perry of Olivet; and one sister-in-law, Camilla Jaquette of Olivet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Arthur.
Services were July 6 at the Evangel Christian Church, Charlotte, with Pastor William Tate officiating. Interment was in the Bosworth Cemetery, Olivet. Arrangements by Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte.
