Florence I. Wilbur
Florence I. Wilbur, 63, of Vestaburg died unexpectedly July 4, 1997, in her home.
Mrs. Wilbur was born January 7, 1934, in Belolt, Wisconsin, the daughter of Alexander and Katherine (Wolff) Felder. She retired from the telephone company and enjoyed various handicrafts, paintings, quilting, and doll collecting.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; daughter, Sharon (Leslie) Eaton of Schoolcraft; three grandchildren; sister, Dolores Young of Lansing; brothers, Henry Felder of East Tawas, John Felder of Alabama, and Alex Felder, Jr. of N.J.
Services were July 9 at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken. Interment in Meadowbrook Cemetery, Mulliken.
Joslyn E. Wiles
Joslyn Evaline Wiles, 57, of Palm Springs, Calif., died May 29, 1997, of a heart attack at Eisenhower Hospital in Palm Desert, Calif.
Mrs. Wiles was born May 22, 1940 in Evansville, Ind., the daughter of O. Joshua and Hazel (Burge) Wiles. She graduated from Charlotte High School and studied piano at Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio and liberal arts at Olivet College. She also studied ballet for 13 years at the Virgiline Simmons Studio, was a member of the Charlotte Oriole Band, and was a member of Job’s Daughters Bethel #1 in Charlotte. She had been a legal secretary, executive secretary, and piano teacher until being totally disabled by kidney disease in 1976. She remained on hemodialysis for 21 years.
She is survived by her mother, Hazel; one daughter, Jacqueline; and two grandsons, A.J. and Josh.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Joshua.
A private memorial gathering for friends and family is to be held in Desert Hot Springs.

George R. Willard
George Ramsdell Willard, 71, of Charlotte died March 19, 1997.
Mr. Willard was born Nov. 22, 1925. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the Army Air Corps. He was the retired owner of McGrath-DeFoe Printing Co. in Charlotte and past publisher of the Charlotte Republican Tribune. He was a past president of the Charlotte Kiwanis Club, member of the Lawrence Avenue United Methodist Church, former Scoutmaster of Troop #46, and a life member of Charlotte Lodge #120 F&AM and Maple City Chapter #218 OES.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; two daughters, Karen Willard of Wyoming and Susan (Dennis) Willard-Wages of Charlotte; two sons, Steven (Patricia) and Kenneth, both of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Erik, Stacey, and Alex; and two sisters, Lois (Ben) DeWitt of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Joanne (Robert) Mohre of Charlotte.
Services were March 22 at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with the Rev. Vern Summers officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte.

Dorothy M. Williams
Dorothy M. Williams, 75, of Eaton Rapids died Sept. 2, 1997, in Eaton Rapids.
Mrs. Williams was born April 18, 1922, in Marion, Ill., the daughter of Harry and M. and Annabelle (Crane) Sutton. She was a member of the Eaton Rapids First United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star #241, Eaton Rapids. Mrs. Williams had been past president of the Eaton Rapids Tuesday Musicale. She was formerly employed with the Olivet College in the Registrar’s Office and retired from the State of Michigan, Insurance Bureau in 1987.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Max; two daughters, Barbara Payne of Eaton Rapids, and Jayne (Jan) Stucky of Georgia; son, Max (Louise) Williams, Jr. of Ohio; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Reba (Dewey) Fuller of Williamston, Alice Miller of Eaton Rapids, and Shirley Cude.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth; and her brother, Jimmy.
Services were Sept. 5 at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids, with the Pastor Tom Evans officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery, Eaton Rapids.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Music Program.
Keith D. Williams
Keith Douglas Williams, 48, of Charlotte died March 21, 1997.
Mr. Williams was born June 16, 1948, in Lansing, the son of Fred and Winifred Field. He had been employed by Motor Wheel in Lansing for 15 years and Wyeth/Ayerst in Mason for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Marta; one son, John Williams of Lansing; one daughter, Laura Williams of Lansing; one granddaughter, Jalen Hauser of Lansing; his parents, Fred and Winifred Field of Mecosta; one step-daughter, Kelly (Scott) and grandchildren, Jenna, Delaney and Hunter; one step-son, Russell; one brother, Gale (Diane) Williams of Mt. Pleasant; one uncle, John Parish of Clare; two nieces, Kathy (Kenneth) Packholka and son, Kenny of Oscoda, and Debie (Don) Cunningham and children, Shelby and Nathan of Stuttgart, Germany.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Williams; and one grandson, Eric Hauser.
Services were March 26 at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with the Rev. Peter R.K. Brenner officiating. Interment was in the Glendale Cemetery, Okemos.
Emesteen E. Windon
Emesteen E. Windon, 63, of Charlotte, formerly of Battle Creek and Lake Odessa, died March 11, 1997, at Community Hospital, Battle Creek, after a long illness.
Mrs. Windon was born in Gip, W.Va., the daughter of William and Gertrude (Atkinson) Holcomb and had been a Charlotte resident for nine years, coming from Lake Odessa.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Buddy; one daughter, Mary (John) Gearhart of Charlotte; two grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine Stutler of Bedford, Ohio, and Kathleen Kus of North Carolina; and two brothers, Terry Holcomb of Colbert, Ga., and Johnny Holcomb of Enterprise, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by one son, Douglas in 1960.
Graveside services were March 14 at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek. Arrangements were made by the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte.

Irene Wittman
Irene Wittman, 71, of Eaton Rapids died Oct. 30, 1997.
Mrs. Wittman was born Nov. 26, 1925, in Salyersville, Ken., the daughter of Elliott and Gertrude (Whitaker) Risner. She was a charter member of the Calvary Lutheran Church (WELS), Eaton Rapids.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Alfred; two sons, Ronnie Wittman of Eaton Rapids, and Jerry (Tammy) Wittman of Charlotte; five sisters, Jewelene Anderson, Lorena (Ed) Jacks, May (Bill) Locke, and Joyce (Jim) Byron, all of Eaton Rapids, and Esther Risner of Lansing; and two brothers, Alden (Beverly) Risner and Mark (Jan) Risner, all of Eaton Rapids.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Chalmer Risner, and one sister, Elsie Love.
Services were Nov. 3 at the Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev. Craig Korth officiating. Interment was in the Rosehill Cemetery, Eaton Rapids.

Ruth J. Wolcott
Ruth Jane Wolcott, 73, of Charlotte died Sept. 7, 1997.
Mrs. Wolcott was born Dec. 10, 1923, in Charlotte, the daughter of Bruce and Esther (Howard) Barrett. She retired from the Eaton County District Court in 1973.
She is survived by her daughter, Rocksan (Bill) Kelly of Eaton Rapids; son, David Wolcott of Charlotte; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeannette (Bud) Tinkey of Charlotte, and Donna (Oscar) Face of Charlotte; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Barrett and Virginia Barrett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; son, Douglas; brothers, Jack Barrett and Tom Barrett.
Services were Sept. 12 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with Charles Jenson officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
