Cynthia M. Hunt
Cynthia Marie (Fedewa) Hunt, 52, of Charlotte died July 23, 1997.
Mrs. Hunt was born June 15, 1945, in Lansing, the daughter of William and Shirley (Johnson) Fedewa. She was a member, and past president of VFW Post #2406 Auxiliary from 1983-84 and also a member of the American Legion Post #42 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Lemuel; one daughter, Carrie Hunt of Charlotte; one son, John of Vermontville; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Rebecca (Ronald) Hayes of Grand Ledge and Jayne (Donald) Sokoloski of East Lansing.
Funeral services were July 25 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Nenneau officiating. Interment was in the Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta.
Arrangements were made by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Community Hospice.
Jon G. Hunt
Jon G. Hunt, 57, of Eaton Rapids and Lansing died Nov. 30, 1997, in Lansing.
Mr. Hunt was born Dec. 12, 1939 in Blaine Township, the son of John Henry and Iva (Gilbert) Hunt. He graduated from Frankfort High School and attended the South Church of the Nazarene in Lansing. He recently retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service.
He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Hyde of Minnesota and Courtney Hunt of Maine; three sons, Kirk (Lisa) of Grand Rapids, Eric of Ypsilanti, and Jonathan of Maine; five grandchildren; his mother, Iva Hunt of Bear Lake; two brothers, Rodney of Herring Lake and Charles (Debra) of Traverse City.
Services were Dec. 3 at the Herring Lake Baptist Church, Frankfort. Interment was in the Blaine Township Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Herring Lake Baptist Church.
Donna Hutchison
Donna Hutchison, 80, of Charlotte died Nov. 21, 1997, at the Ingham Medical Hospital, Lansing.
Mrs. Hutchison was born in Eaton County, the daughter of George and Blanche (Litchfield) Baxter. She was a housewife.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet (Gary) Ripley of Charlotte; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and one sister, Florence (Bob) Frayer of Grand Ledge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and two grandsons.
Services were Nov. 25 at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with the Rev. Peter Brenner officiating. Interment was in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte.
Wilma M. Huyck
Wilma M. Huyck, 63, of Sunfield, died unexpectedly at home Oct. 3.
She was born Nov. 3, 1933, in Grand Ledge, the daughter of Harrison Millard and the former Christine Giesel. She was raised in the Grand Ledge area and was a 1952 graduate of Grand Ledge High School. She married Hans Huyck in 1954. She was employed in various occupations; the most important was homemaker. She was a member of the Sunfield United Methodist Church, Friends of the Library, and the Ladies Fire Auxiliary of Sunfield. She enjoyed reading, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harrison, in 1991.
In addition to her husband, Hans, Mrs. Huyck is survived by one son, Mark (Diane) Huyck of Sunfield; three daughters, Carol (Mike) Burch of Battle Creek, Jennifer (Ed) Walker of Gladstone, and Elizabeth Huyck of Yuma, Ariz.; her mother, Christine Millard of Charlotte; two sisters, Joan (Jack) Hine of Charlotte and Shirley Dayton of Grand Ledge; one grandson, Chad Walker; three granddaughters, Kelsey and Erin Burch and Kaili Walker; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Oct. 6 at Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, in Sunfield. Interment was in Sunfield Cemetery.
Sheryl A. McPhall Imler
Sheryl Ann McPhall Imler, 38, of Lansing, formerly of Eaton Rapids, died Jan. 27, 1997, as the result of an automobile accident.
Ms. Imler was born Nov. 23, 1958, in Hillsdale, the daughter of Lyle and Iris (Michael) McPhall. She was a 1976 graduate of Eaton Rapids High School and employed as an office administrator for Jay & Nelson Heating & Cooling of Lansing.
She is survived by her fiancé, Jay Jenson of LaCrosse, Wis.; one daughter, Kristina Eveleth of Lansing; her mother, Iris McPhall of Potterville; her father, Lyle McPhall of Sand Lake; one sister, Connie McPhall of Stockbridge; three brothers, Alan (Susanne) McPhall of Holt, Randy (Lori) McPhall of Morristown, Ariz., and Scott (Melissa) McPhall of Potterville; four aunts; one uncle; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Jan. 30 at the Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids, with the Rev. Thomas Evans of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Rosehill Cemetery, Eaton Rapids.
Memorial contributions may be made to an educational fund for her daughter, Kristina, and her unborn grandchild, in care of Iris McPhall.
Mable C. Jackson
Mable Charlotte Jackson, 96, of Charlotte died Feb. 19, 1997, at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Carmel Township, Eaton County, the daughter of William and Dora (Quantrell) Harmon. She had worked for the State Department Health as a secretary for many years and later as a reporter for the Battle Creek Enquirer and News. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Charlotte.
She is survived by one stepdaughter, Mary (Kenneth) David of Lapeer and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Feb. 21 at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with the Rev. Duane Royston officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte.
Loraine E. Janecke
Loraine E. Janecke, 84, died June 14, 1997 in Eaton Rapids.
Mrs. Janecke was born June 6, 1913, in Lansing, the daughter of John and Bertha Amelia (Hackbart) Heil. Loraine was a member of Emanuel First Lutheran Church in Lansing.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Fred; 5 daughters, Betty J. (Keith), Pat A. (Ray), Nancy M. (Dan), Susan E., and Linda D. (Barry); 4 sons, Robert E. (Linda), Don D. (Liz), John, and Paul R.; 26 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Harold (Marge), Harry (Doris), and Elmer (Dorothy).
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Lou.
Funeral services were held on June 16 at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids, with Pastor John Vogt and Pastor Daniel Buske officiating. Interment followed at Deepdale Memorial Park.

Phyllis J. Jensen
Phyllis Jean Jensen, 64, of Vermontville, died May 4, 1997.
Mrs. Jensen was born April 15, 1933, in Jackson, the daughter of Marion and Mable (Ploughman) Schultz.
She is survived by her husband, Chris; four daughters, Christina (James) Turner of Vermontville, Susan (Jon) Vilanueva of Tennessee, Sally (Brian) Symonds of Nashville and Rebecca (Shawn) Scott of Vermontville; five sons, Charlie (Lynn) of Sheridan, Ernest (Tammy) of Gowen, and Larry, Michael, and John (Janice), all of Vermontville; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Nancy (Dean) Cogswell of Greenville; and four brothers, James (Barbara) Schultz of Gowen, Fred (Sandy) Schultz of Greenville, Gerald (Vivian) Schultz of Texas and Ronald (Lucy) Schultz of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Donnie and Patrick.
Services were May 7 at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with the Rev. Duane Royston officiating. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Vermontville.
