Herman M. Osborne
Herman Motor Osborne, 64, of Potterville died May 13, 1997.
Mr. Osborne was born March 5, 1933, the son of Ernest and Sylvia Osborne. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from Fisher Body in 1990 after 40 years of service. He was a member of Potterville VFW Post #6034.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy; two daughters, Kathy (Ric) Spitzley of Mulliken and Tammy (Larry) Landers of Charlotte; one son, Michael of Potterville; six grandchildren, Audrie, Richard, Chris, Jenny, Chan and Dena; two great-grandchildren, Katie and Sharee; three sisters, Lillian Fulton of Florida, Roseann (Evert) Welch of Lansing and Nancy (Robert) Lautzenheiser of Saranac; two brothers, Curtis (Clara) Osborne and James (Jean) Osborne both of Saranac; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Marrion Osborne and Dorothy Blodgett; one sister-in-law, June Osborne; one brother, Richard; and one brother-in-law, George Fulton.
Services were May 16 at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with the Rev. Thomas Peters officiating. Interment was in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.
Doris N. Otto
Doris N. Otto, 83, of Howell died July 30, 1997, in Howell.
Mrs. Otto was born July 23, 1914, in Crystal and had been a resident of Michigan all her life.
She is survived by two sons, John (Nancy) Otto of Howell and Richard (Lynda) Otto, both of Olivet; daughter, Patricia (Al) Young of Milford; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 2 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, Lansing, with the Pastor Scott Brood officiating.

Russell M. Owen
Russell M. Owen, 90, of Olivet died Feb. 7, 1997, at the Eaton Manor, Charlotte, after an extended illness.
Mr. Owen was born Feb. 7, 1907, in Aurelius Township, the son of Martin and Eva (Linsley) Owen, and had been a resident of Olivet for 61 years. He had been employed by Oldsmobile Division, General Motors, Lansing, retiring in 1967, after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Olds Quarter Century Club.
He is survived by one son, Marvin (Burdeena) Owen of Charlotte; three daughters, Nancy (Wes) Lambert, and Sally (Robert) Jensen all of Bloomfield Hills, and Connie Owen of Olivet; five grandchildren, Heidi and Heather Lambert, Jennifer Jensen, Martin Owen, and Lynn Garrison; one great-grandson, Cody Garrison; one brother, George (Alice) Owen of Irons; and three sisters, Shirley Norton and Betty (Joe) Beck all of Charlotte, and Mary Partridge of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donnis (Gifford) Owen on June 12, 1990; two brothers; and six sisters.
Services were Feb. 11 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Chapel, Charlotte, with the Rev. Lester DeGroot officiating. Interment was in the Olivet Cemetery.

Agnes P. Pardee
Agnes P. Pardee, 90, of Charlotte died June 1, 1997.
Mrs. Pardee was born July 8, 1906, in Grand Ledge, the daughter of Benjamin and Ora Sweet. She worked for the State of Michigan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mary Murray Circle and the State Employee Retirees Association.
She is survived by two sons, T. John of Charlotte and Reginald “Bud” of East Jordan; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1981.
Services were June 4 at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with Dr. Charles Moore officiating. Interment was in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, Lansing.
Lois O. Peacock
Lois O. Peacock, 68, died June 29, 1997.
Mrs. Peacock was born Sept. 11, 1928. She has been a resident of Okemos since 1963. She retired from M.S.U. in 1991 after 25 years of employment. Mrs. Peacock was a former member of Pine Lake County Club.
She is survived by her two daughters, LoAnn (Jeffrey) of Eaton Rapids and Laura (Mason) of St. Johns; son, William (Pamala) of Perry; 6 grandchildren; brother, Mark (Lucille) of Flushing; sister, Byrnece (Clayton) of Clio; and 3 sisters-in-law, Marge of Flint, Mary of Flint, and Frances of Chelsea.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and brother.
Services will be held on July 3, at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. East Chapel, East Lansing, with the Rev. Joseph Spackman officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society of Lansing.
Kenneth L. (Peck) Pember
Kenneth L. (Peck) Pember, 88, of Vermontville died Sept. 13, 1997, at Tendercare of Hastings.
He was born March 3, 1909, in Vermontville, the son of Albert and Eva (Jarrett) Pember. He graduated from Vermontville High School in 1928 and from Augabrights Business College in Battle Creek. He married Josephine Cowell in December 1954 in Angola, Ind.; she died in 1960. He married June Kunde on Aug. 14, 1961, in Vermontville; she died June 3, 1007. He farmed all his working life and raised sheep. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, growing flowers, antiquing, and traveling to Ireland and Alaska.
Surviving are stepsons Paul (Joyce) Kunde of Jenison, and Henry (Charlotte) Cowell of Vermontville; six step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Norm and Joyce Noviskey of Hastings; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ilah Leeser; half-sister, Georganna Griffin; and half-brother, Earl Hadden.
Funeral services were Sept. 16 at the Maple Valley Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Bowman officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Vermontville.
Memorial donations may be made to the Vermontville Boy Scouts.
Donna C. Perrine
Donna C. Perrine, 90, of Olivet and formerly of Lansing, died Sept. 12, 1997.
She was born at Rives Junction in Jackson County, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Smith) Perrine, and had been an Olivet resident since 1975, coming from Lansing. She was a retired librarian, having served from 1931-35 in the Utica, N.Y., Public Library, from 1935-43 in the Madison, Wisc., Elementary School Library, and from 1946-72 in the J.W. Sexton High School Library in Lansing, from which she retired. She had attended the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Lansing, the Olivet Congregational Church and the Onondaga Community Church.
Surviving are two nieces, Diann Roebuck of Lansing and Trudy Vanaman of El Paso, Texas; and one nephew, Brian Greener of Milwaukee, Wisc.
Funeral services were Sept. 1 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Clark Hock officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Draper Cemetery at Rives Junction. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Jamie D. Peters
Jamie Donald Peters, 27, of Eaton Rapids died Feb. 16, 1997, as the result of leukemia.
Mr. Peters was born Aug. 16, 1969, in Eaton Rapids, the son of Dean and Carleen (Langtry) Peters. He was a 1987 graduate of Eaton Rapids High School and graduate of Lansing Community College. He was employed at Number One Graphics of East Lansing.
He is survived by his wife, Angela (Wyckoff); his parents, Dean and Carleen Peters of Eaton Rapids; one brother, Ron (Suzanne) Peters of Lansing; one niece, Jenelle; his mother and father-in-law, Don and Carolyn Wyckoff of Eaton Rapids; brother-in-law, Matthew Wyckoff of Eaton Rapids; his grandparents, Scotty and Eileen Langtry of Lakewood, and Richard and Mary Marietta of Eaton Rapids; and several other family and friends, including Gerry (Tammy) Hawkins and namesake, Jamie Nicole.
Services were Feb. 20 at the First Baptist Church, Eaton Rapids. Arrangements were made by the Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, ER.
