Anita Rodebaugh
Anita Rodebaugh, 59, of Potterville died April 15, 1997.
Mrs. Rodebaugh was born May 25, 1937, in Lansing, the daughter of Otto and Ethel (Huffman) Pifer. She worked on carton assembly at Owens-Illinois in Charlotte for 25 years, until her retirement in 1992.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald; one daughter, Desiree Hayes of Olivet; one son, Douglas (Jodi) Rodebaugh of Lansing; seven grandchildren, three brothers, Leslie (Dorothy) Pifer of Saranac, Ira “Bud” (Loretta) Pifer of Alabama and Larry (Paula) Pifer of Delton; and one sister, Celora “Tootie” (Mike) Shilling of Charlotte.
Services were April 19 at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with Kathryn Baughman officiating. Interment was in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, Lansing.

Madonna J. Rolfe
Madonna J. Rolfe, 70, of Charlotte died Oct. 9, 1997, in Ocala, Fla.
Mrs. Rolfe was born June 1, 1927, in Ingham County, the daughter of Clifford Ernest and Carrie Melinda Stanley. She was a cook in various local restaurants, including The Town House, Jim’s, The Coffee Cup and Mom’s.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jerri Mastren of Long Beach, Miss., Laura Howe of Charlotte, and Linda Rolfe of Ocala, Fla.; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Esther Moore of Anchorage, Alaska and Phyllis Clapper of Lakeland, Fla.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Arthur Rolfe.
Services were Oct. 12 in Ocala, Fla.
Benjamin E. Ruhf
Benjamin E. “Ben” Ruhf, 85, of Lansing died March 20, 1997.
Mr. Ruhf was born Nov. 13, 1911, in Eaton County, and had been a lifelong resident of Lansing. He worked for Oldsmobile for 38 years, retiring in 1972.
He is survived by one daughter, Dawn (Richard) Brochu of Lansing; two grandchildren, Mark (Lori) Brochu and Michele (Todd) Gill, both of Potterville; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Justin Gill and Stephanie Perdue; and two sisters, Aileen Gokey of Lansing and Maude McCullum of West Branch.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline in 1989.
Private services were held with the Rev. Rae Franke of Trinity United Methodist Church. Arrangements were made by Estes-Leadley. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
Stuart John Rule
Stuart John Rule, 78, of Charlotte died June 18, 1997.
Mr. Rule was born Nov. 30, 1918, in Highland Park, the son of Arthur and Winifred (Rogers) Rule. He worked as a life insurance agent most of his life. He was former city clerk for the city of Eaton Rapids, member of Charlotte VFW 2406, member of FOE Aerie 3552, and former employee of the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund.
He is survived by daughters, JoAyn Dunlap of Indianapolis, Susan B. (Steven) Greskowiak of Haslett, Candace K. (Dennis) McMaster of Eaton Rapids; sons, W. Keith, Jack E. and Michael S., all of Colorado; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Bonnie Provencher and Phyllis (Ivan) Atkinson, of Florida; brother, James (Phyllis) Rule of Grand Blanc.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 23, at 11:30 a.m. at Pray Funeral Home with George Howe officiating.
Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 22, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Robert E. Rumfield
Robert Edwin Rumfield, 66, died Jan. 19, 1997, at his resident in Ionia County.
Mr. Rumfield was born March 9, 1930, in Hastings, the son of Verd and Anna (Mallory) Rumfield Sr. He was a lifelong Sunfield resident and farmer, retiring from Oldsmobile in 1988 as a power sweeper operator after 23 years of service. He received the FFA’s American Farmer Award, was a member of the American agriculture movement, and drove school bus for Sunfield and Lakewood schools.
He is survived by two daughters, Robin Brace and Susan (Mike) Roper; one son, Tim (Julie); seven grandchildren, Eric and Aaron Brace, Michelle and Leanna Roper; and Jeff, Nick, and Danny Rumfield; former son-in-law, Keith Brace; one sister, Elizabeth (William) Hunt; and one brother, Verd (Sally) Rumfield Jr. He was formerly married to Joan (Jones) Austin.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and one daughter, Denise Marie Rumfield.
Services were Jan. 22 at the Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield. Interment was in the Welch Cemetery, Sunfield.

John H. Rundle
John H. Rundle, 94, of Stuart, Fla. died Dec. 18, 1997, at his home.
Mr. Rundle was a native of Calhoun County, he lived in Stuart for 32 years. Before moving to Florida, he owned and operated a radio business in Lansing. He often spent his summers in the Charlotte area. He was a member of Jehovah Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Stuart.
He is survived by four daughters, Audrey R. Jones of Stuart, Fla., G. Shirley St. Clair of Van Nuys, Calif., Jean S. McPeck and Avonne Maran Dosey both of Lansing; one brother, Alba E. Rundle; one sister, Marjorie Steves, both of Onsted; nine grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Rundle; and son, H. James Rundle.

Floyd D. Rush, Jr.
Floyd (Wayne) D. Rush, Jr., 70, of Charlotte died Aug. 25, 1997.
Mr. Rush was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Lansing, the son of Floyd D., Sr. and Clara (Adams) Rush. He worked as a forklift repair operator for Meijer Thrifty Acres, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the VFW Maple City Post 2406; Kalamo Lodge #327 F&AM; member of the Faith Bible Church of Lake Odessa. Mr. Rush served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He enjoyed amateur radio and woodworking.
He is survived he his wife, Patricia; 3 sons, David (Whynell) Rush of Florida, Terry (Judy) Rush of Ionia, and Charles Wright of Colorado; 6 daughters, Laura Laurich of California, Sue Rush of Lake Odessa, Sandy (Robin) Reed and Linda (Vernie) Nichols both of Charlotte, Lucille (Donald) Shick of Arizona, and Nanette (Chuck) Stockes of Arkansas; 29 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Beatrice Fuller, Beverly Bennett, and Delores (Bob) McGee; mother, Clara Rush of Charlotte.
He is preceded in death by two sons and two grandsons.
Services were Aug. 25 at Faith Bible Church, Lake Odessa, with Pastor Shane Lewis officiating. Arrangements were made by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.

Derek D. Sadler
Derek D. Sadler, 19, of Olivet died Nov. 24, 1997, as the result of an automobile accident.
Mr. Sadler was born Oct. 4, 1978, in Lansing, the son of Paul and Sharon (Colbath) Sadler. He worked as a loader for Bill Knapp’s Warehouse in Battle Creek. He attended the Nashville Baptist Church and attended Maple Valley Schools.
He is survived by his father, Paul (Linda) of Olivet; his mother, Sharon (Rodger Craft) Sadler of Charlotte; one sister, Paula Sadler; and his grandmothers, Bernice Colbath of Mason and Betty Sadler of Ashley.
Services were Nov. 28 at the Nashville Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester DeGroot officiating. Arrangements were made by the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
