Charles “Charlie” Ira Koos
Charles “Charlie” Ira Koos, 65, of Charlotte, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010. Mr. Koos was born May 9, 1944 in Lansing, the son of George and Florence (Huffman) Koos.
Mr. Koos worked in skilled trades at General Motors for 30 years until 1995 and worked for Eatran until 2003. He was past State President for Dads Post, past President of the local Dads Post 286 and currently held the position of National Chairman for the VFW National Children’s Home Music Department.
Mr. Koos was devoted to his father and farmed with him for many years. He was proud of his family members in the military, which enabled him to join the Dads Post 286 at the Charlotte VFW Post 2406.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Nickie; son, Raymond; daughters, Karen and Linda; stepson, Jeffrey; stepdaughters, Susan, Lesley (Edward), Cori (Denis) and Heather (Albert); foster daughter, Danielle; 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Herman Koos; sisters, Betty Ziegler and Melba Kohler.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Norman and Merlin.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 at Pray Funeral Home with Pastor Robin Crouch officiating.

Judy Bell Kopulos
Judy Bell Kopulos passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the age of 65. Judy was born March 16, 1945 to Harry Snow and Julianna Dillay in Eaton Rapids, MI. Judy has been a long time resident of Eaton Rapids, she loves Michigan football, and fishing in her back yard. She also enjoyed her gambling trips up north. Judy is preceded in death by her father Harry Snow.
Surviving Judy are her two children; Melissa (Reginald) Rice, Steve (Heather) Kopulos, grandchildren; Shannon Rice, Ashley Rice, Cody Kopulos, Zachary Kopulos, brother; Jim Snow, sisters; Jill (Rodney) Siple, Jerry (Rick) McDaniel, Jody (Jack) Pringle and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Judy on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. .
Richard D. Korloch
Richard D. Korloch of Potterville, died June 15, 2010 at home following a short battle with lung cancer.
He was born October 13, 1947 in Battle Creek to Eleanor (Chaundy) and Richard Korloch.
Rick was employed at GM, he retired in 1996. He was an excellent taxidermist.
He was also an avid golfer, bowler, fisherman and marathon runner.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Powell; daughter, Tami (Mark) Dickinson of Nashville, MI; sons, Sean (Jennifer) of Battle creek and Matthew (Kayla) Korloch of Bellevue; stepsons, James and Nate Powell; grandchildren, Justine and Rachel King, Eric Korloch, Jacob and Aaron Addison and Rhanin Korloch; his father, Richard W. Korloch; and brother, Don (Bobbi) Rollo.
Rick donated his body to MSU. There will be no services.

Michael M. Kramer
Michael M. Kramer, 42, died Monday, February 1, 2010 in Grand Rapids, Mich. He was born June 13, 1967 in Elmhurst, Ill., the son of William M. and Rojene M. Kramer, Jr. He attended Charlotte High School.
He is survived by his father, William M. Kramer, Jr. of Brighton; brother, William M. Kramer III (Suzanna), nephew William M. Kramer IV, and niece Alexandra E. Kramer all of Olivet.
Michael will be sadly missed by all. Rosary will be Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. and Memorial Mass will be Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Bellevue with Reverend Father Francis Mossholder as Celebrant.
Roy Kramer
Roy Kramer, 77, of Potterville, died Monday, August 9, 2010. He was born January 6, 1933 in Lansing, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Nakovitz) Kramer.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, and their children; Richard Kramer; Marie Kramer, Larry (Julie) Kramer all of Potterville, and Paul Kramer of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Kathryn (Norm) Miller, Kristie (Chris) Dukes, Joshua Kramer, Nicole (Philip) Pinckney, Traci, Rebecca and Jacob Kramer; nine great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; sister, Anna Marie Holben of Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Frank, Joe and Herb; sister, Hedwig; mother-in-law, Arlene Wardwell.
Roy was employed by GM working with the yard gang. He enjoyed working with his backhoe, especially if it involved helping others with projects. His family enjoyed annual reunions that lasted a weekend to fit all the fun in. Roy enjoyed fishing, special trips that involved camping. He was a Cub Scout leader, as well as Little League coach.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at his residence (5743 Windsor Hwy. Potterville), with Dean Peters officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Eaton community Hospice. Arrangements were made by Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte.
Theodore “Ted” Krawczyk
Theodore “Ted” Krawczyk of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, age 81, and life resident of Eaton Rapids died on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans with his family by his bedside. He was born in Eaton Rapids on December 11, 1928 the son of Adam and Mary (Kagan) Krawczyk. Ted served faithfully for the United States Navy during WWII. He retired as an accomplished Builder in the Construction business in Detroit. Ted loved his gardening and after retirement hooking up with his friends at Abie’s Bar & Grill. Preceding him in death were his brother and sisters, John, Angela, Wanda and Deloris.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ida; children, Linda (Mike) Cunningham of Lansing, Larry Jay Krawczyk of Rockford, Rose Marie Gleason of Eaton Rapids and stepson, Charles A. Robart of Lansing; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; 3 brothers, Stanley (Barbara) Krawczyk of Eaton Rapids, Adam Krawczyk of Texas and William (Florence) Krawczyk of Lansing; 2 sisters, Mary (Rhonald) Pierce of Lansing and Sophia Bradley of Traverse City; numerous nieces and nephews.
It was Ted’s wishes cremation follow his death and a family Committal Service take place at Forestlawn Cemetery in Dimondale. The family is being served by the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids.
Mary Helen Krebs
Mary Helen (Winn) Krebs, of Charlotte, born March 24, 1928 in Alliance, Ohio to Frank and Rosella Winn, joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 18, 2010 after a lengthy illness.
Mary Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She married Richard W. Krebs in 1949 in Alliance. She owned and operated an adult foster care home for over 30 years. She was a faithful member of the Charlotte Free Methodist Church before becoming ill.
She is survived by her husband, Richard of Charlotte; son, Ronald (Ellen) of Cass City; daughters, Barbara (Dr. Ted) Scofield of Livingston, Mont., Nancy (Daniel) Pick of Charlotte, Amelia (Garth) Banks of Indianapolis, Ind. and Rebecca (Frank) Balluff of Charlotte; 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles and Harold and daughter-in-law, Darlene (Driscoll) Krebs.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte, with visitation from 10 a.m. until noon.

Milton Krieg
Milton “Jack” Krieg, 85, of Alma, formerly of Plymouth, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010. He was born March 26, 1925 the son of Milton and Myrna (Bosworth) Krieg. Jack grew up in the Charlotte area and following high school, joined the Army serving his country during WWII. After returning from the service he entered college, graduating from Michigan Technological College with a degree in Forestry. Jack joined General Motors in Lansing and was promoted to the Warren Tech Center where he worked in Quality Assurance until his retirement in 1987.
Jack was a Life Member of the Masonic Lodge. He also had an avid interest in hunting in the U.P. and skiing in Colorado with his long time friends. Jack and his wife Celia loved traveling the country with the GMC Motor Coach Club.
He is survived by his wife, Celia; sons, Ronald (Darlene) Krieg of Indian River, Randon (Patricia) Krieg of Sacramento, CA and Robert (Cathy) Krieg of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren, Voletta Krieg, Joseph Krieg, Carly Ryske, Natalie Krieg, Rene Krieg and Scott Krieg.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte, with Pastor Rebecca Morrison officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Saturday, December 18, 2010 form 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home.
