Gary Lee Reeder
Gary Lee Reeder, 65, of Eaton Rapids, formerly of South Haven, passed away in Lansing, March 9, 2010. Gary was born in Dexter, Mo., Feb. 23, 1945, the son of Johnnie Lee and Georgia (Troxell) Reeder.
He had a very generous heart and loved to tell jokes. Gary loved to go to auctions and flea markets. He had coffee regularly with his friends at Miller’s. Gary most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Frederickson) Reeder of Eaton Rapids; daughters, Shelley (Mark) Lewis of South Haven, MI, Heidi (David Berg) Klug of Bangor, MI; six grandchildren, Heather, Autumn, Kristie, Star, Sierra, Mikey; 2 great grandchildren, Landon, Courtney; brother, Leonard (Susan) Reeder of Las Vegas. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Robin Mizell; brother, Jon Reeder.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2010 at Community Christian Church, 318 W. Knight St. Eaton Rapids with Pastor Stephen Klink officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Kandace Kay Reinecke
Kandace Kay Reinecke of Eaton Rapids, MI went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2010 with her family by her bedside. She was born August 6, 1945 to Ray and Edna Gitchell in West Branch, Michigan. Kandy was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Eaton Rapids. She volunteered over 30 years in the church nursery and helped frequently with the funeral dinners. She also worked for 20 years as an Avon representative in the area. Kandy is preceded in death by her mother.
Kandy leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Clinton Reinecke; four children, Patrick (Kristy) Reinecke of Eaton Rapids; Lynn (Michael) Mayes of Eaton Rapids; James (Kristina) Reinecke of Eaton Rapids; Kara (Timothy) Wegner of Eaton Rapids; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; three brothers; one sister,; and father, Ray Gitchell of Hale, MI.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Eaton Rapids. Jonathan B. Rich, Sr.
Jonathan Benjamin Rich, Sr., 63, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010. He was born March 3, 1947 in Kalamo Township, Mich., the son of Merlin Rich and Bernice (Blodgett) Wheeler. Jonathan was employed by Hoover Universal of Charlotte for 23 years, American Sunroof of Lansing, and retired from Denso of Battle Creek after 15 years. He was born and raised on Swift Road where he lived his entire life. He was a camper and loved to travel. Some of his favorite trips were Yellowstone, the Black Hills, Mackinaw, the Badlands, Las Vegas and numerous cruises. He was able to fulfill one of his dreams of an Alaskan Cruise in June. One of the most important things in his life was his grandchildren who he loved very much.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda (McCrimmon); son, Jonathan (Jamie) Rich, Jr. of Alto; daughter, Lynnette (Tom) Thompson of Battle Creek; three grandchildren, Justin, Austin, and Hailey; mother, Bernice Wheeler of Springport; sisters, Helen (Howard) Robinson of Shaftsburg and Ruth (Gary) Clark of Springport. Her was preceded in death by his father, Merlin Rich; sister, Bethel (Richard) Graham; sister, Madeline (Robert) Wyble; brother, Albert (Lois) Rich and sister, Mary (Edward) Brzycki.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte, with Pastor Bryce Fieghner officiating.

Dorothy L. Rickle
Dorothy L. Rickle, 91, of Potterville, died Saturday, September 25, 2010. She was born November 5, 1918 in Lexington, Tenn., the daughter of Rev. Deward and Florence (Cox) Blankenship.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Beth) Rickle of Potterville, Robert (Alice) Rickle of Silver City, NM, Gregory (Nina) Rickle of Midland, Steve (Kathy) Rickle of Dimondale; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2006.
Dorothy enjoyed her flowers, pets and loved her family. She was a member of Eastern Star in Potterville. She remembers crossing the Mississippi River in a covered wagon at the age of 4.
Funeral services were held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Pray Funeral Home with Reverend Rebecca Morrison officiating. Interment was at Deepdale Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were made by Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte.
Chuck Riharb
Chuck Riharb, 67, passed away March 26, 2010 unexpectedly at Hayes Green Beach Hospital. He was born Feb. 25, 1943 in Pontiac.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Chuck is survived by sisters, Nellie Lynn (Gary) Hembree of Waterford, Mich., and Sheryl (Ed) Sullivan of Henderson, Nev.; Aunt Rose (Riharb) Shafto and numerous cousins.
Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday May 1, 2010 at Deepdale Memorial Park, 4110 Lansing Road, Lansing, with Pastor Doug Bliss officiating.

Robert M. Riley
Robert Maurice Riley, 79, of Charlotte, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing.
Mr. Riley was born July 16, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wis., to Maurice and Evelyn (Whitney) Riley.
Bob served five years in the Air Force in Casa Blanca during the Korean War.
Bob has a B.S.M.E., in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois and completed his active professional life upon retirement from GM Power Train Division in 1999 as a senior project engineer and was a lifelong proud member of SAE.
Bob loved stock car racing, the Green Bay Packers, his home, his family, dog Amber, the cats, the fish in his pond and the many birds he fed.
Bob was preceded in death by two sons, William and James; and his sister, Ellen Ann Burke.
He is survived by his wife, Gail (Olmstead) Riley; brother, James Riley (Sandy) of Zion, Ill.; children, Patricia Coburn (Dave) of Chester, NY; Robert Riley, Jr. (Gloria) of Wakarusa, Ind.; Blake Riley (Marianne) of Wakarusa, Ind.; Margaret Riley of Bridgman, Mich.; John Riley (Dawn) of Hart, Mich.; Nancy Wagoner (Gerry) of Piqua, Ohio; Mary Kate Peters (Bill) of Ellensburg, Wash.; Annie Balsbaugh (Dean) of Conover, Ohio; Erin Ebershoff (Craig) of Lafayette, Ind.; and Michael Riley of Baroda, Mich.
Additionally, Mr. Riley leaves 28 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three step children, Ginny, Rick and Todd Trierweiler, two step grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Pray Funeral Home with grandson Daniel Coburn officiating. Baurial was at St. Joseph Cemetery, Sturgeon Bay, Wis.

Robert D. Rochester
Robert D. Rochester of Yellville, AR, age 80, passed away Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. Robert was born in Eaton Rapids, MI on February 3, 1920 the son of Arlo and Alice (Paquette) Rochester. He was the Animal Control Officer for the City of Yellville, and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Mr. Rochester is survived by his son, Rick (Cindy) Rochester of Charlotte, MI; daughters, Marie (Don) Principato of Mountain Home, AR, Cindy (Craig) Boatman of Eaton Rapids; his caregiver Rena of Yellville; brothers, Wilson (Marilyn) Rochester of Eaton Rapids, Merle (Daisy) Rochester of Eaton Rapids; 6 grandsons and 4 great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Irene Rochester and sisters, Eloise and Lorene.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, 518 S. Main St. Eaton Rapids. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Eaton Rapids. Ruth Rogers
Ruth Rogers, 71, of Charlotte, formerly of East Lansing, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010. Mrs. Rogers was born Sept. 15, 1938 in Ionia, a daughter of Cecil L. and Helen Alice (Cretty) Green.
Preceding her in death was her daughter, Cindy.
She is survived by her daughters, Spring (Ron), Shari (Dave) and Michelle (Chris); her son, Tom; proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Ruth also dearly loved her sisters, Minnie and Dorothy; her brother, Paul; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at Olivet Baptist Church in Lansing, with Pastor Dave Sincox officiating. Arrangements by: Field & Leik Funeral Home, Dimondale.
