He was blessed with a kind and outgoing personality, and will be sorely missed by his many friends. He was an avid model aviator, despite his failing eyesight. Larry taught us to enjoy the basic things in life: he loved music, dancing, family, friends, the upper peninsula and the ocean, especially the Caribbean around Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and, like any good craftsman, he knew how to pay attention to the important details, which are often hidden in the simplest things. Larry could befriend anyone with his infectious love of life. He was a beautiful dancer, who stepped lightly among us for too brief a time. The funeral service was conducted by Fr. Brooks Ledford and The Rev. Fr. Mark Sietsema, and Fr. Brooks Ledford, at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2001, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1701 E.
