Larner, Douglas Lance
"Boo"
Lansing, MI
Doug was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 9, 1967, beloved son of Doyle and Deanne Larner. Doug was a graduate of Lansing Everett High School and attended Lansing Community College pursuing his lifelong love of art. As an avid collector of music and movies Doug often shared his passions with those around him. Doug's mark will be forever left on so many songs, which for so long have brought joy to his family. Love of friendship and competition fashioned Doug into a lover and participant in many sports, especially bowling. In 1998, at Pro Bowl West, family and friends witnessed Doug bowl a perfect 300 game. Doug was employed by Mulholland Investments where he excelled as a Maintenance Tech. Doug's greatest achievement, however, was not what he had accomplished but rather who he was. Doug was a wonderful son, a compassionate brother and most of all the kindest and most loving friend one could ask for. Our beloved son, brother and friend went to be with our Lord on November 9, 2001 after a courageous battle with illness. Doug was 34. Douglas is survived by his parents, Doyle (Jane) Larner and Deanne Larner of Lansing; brothers, Danny (Bridget), Darin (Bernadette) and Dennis (Kimberly) Larner; sister Delane (Greg) Boog; and fiancé Karen Banish. Doug is also survived by grandparents, Hazel Larner and Lucille Norris; one aunt; and one uncle. Eight nephews and one niece will also dearly miss "Uncle Boo". Memorial services in honor of Doug were held on Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at 11:30 a.m., at Pennway Church of God (1101 E. Cavanaugh, Lansing, MI 48911), with Rev. Dick Latham and Rev.
