He was born in Lansing on June 6, 1999, to Michelle Wells and Luther Shessia, and will also be missed by his brothers, Devin Wells and Mike Newton; sister, Madison Shessia and his grandparents, Sandy Wells, Dan Spicer and Ella and Rod Shessia. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2002, at Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum/Chapel. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2-4 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Ele’s Place in memory of Aaron Shessia.

Beloved mother, sister and friend has left us to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at the age of 84. She was born December 13, 1919 in Saginaw, Michigan. Survivors include: daughter, Connie (Jerry) Williams of Lansing; son, Dana L. (Laurel Mattoon) of Madison, WI.; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Bertha Carey of Bay City, Donna (Gerald) O’Leary of Zephyrhills, FL., and Mary Hoover along with 1 brother, Herbert Bloom and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Maude and John Henney; her husband of 56 years, Harry E. Dudley and her son Jack E. Dudley. She belonged to Emmanuel Lutheran Church (WELS) in Zephyrhills, FL. and was historian for the church for several years. Per her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

Age 70, passed away Sept. 26, 2001. He was born in St. Paul, MN June 21, 1931, and has lived in the Lansing area since 1954. He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection; a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Air Force; and was a graduate of Michigan State University. He joined the East Lansing Police Dept. in 1957, retiring as a Captain and Acting Chief in 1992. He was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society; was a Past President of the Central Michigan Law Enforcement Association; a Past President of the Michigan Association of Check Investigators; and a Past President of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean in 1971. Surviving are: 5 Children, Richard of Eaton Rapids, Lorayne (Scott) Tiemann of Portland, MI, Mary Murray, James, and Maureen Murray all of Lansing; Grandson, Steven Tiemann; Brother, Raymond (Sonja) Murray of Minneapolis, MN; 2 Sisters, Mary Aitken of Whitebear Lake, MN, Eleanor Schulte of Miami, FL; nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass was celebrated by The Rev. Fr. William J. Koenigsknecht at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2001 at the Church of the Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan Ave. The Rite of Committal of his ashes will be held later in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family received friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St., Lansing from 2-4 p.m. Saturday and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sparrow Foundation-Hospice Program.

Born on June 22, 1920 in Jackson, MI to James and May (Conway) Dalton, passed away on December 22, 2004 at the age of 84. Surviving are: her husband of 57 years, Kenneth B. Donaldson; children, Susan (Arnold) Solomon, Mary Lou (Patrick) Barbour, Thomas (Elizabeth) Donaldson, and Robert (Deborah) Donaldson; 9 Grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Jean Dalton. The memorial mass will be celebrated at the Church of Resurrection, 1505 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 with The Rev. Fr. William J. Koenigsknecht as Celebrant. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, where the Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice in memory of Mary Donaldson.
Myers, Wilbur J. (Bill) Col. (USA-Retired)

Age 92, passed away on April 11, 2002. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI on October 12, 1909 and graduated from Grand Rapids Godwin High School and the University of Michigan. Col. Myers was commissioned in 1940 to prepare for the nation's first peacetime draft. He served with the State Selective Service and later became Chief of Information and Intelligence for the Michigan National Guard following WWII. During the Korean Conflict he was recalled to federal duty and appointed Deputy State Director, retiring in 1974. He was personally presented with the Army Legion of Merit Medal by Lt. General Lewis Hershey for "exceptionally meritorious service". He also received the Army Commendation Medal; Selective Service Meritorious Service Medal; the Michigan Distinguished Service Medal, and commendations from Governor Milliken and the State Legislature. Following retirement he devoted his efforts to volunteering for the AARP, the Lansing Senior Center Advisory Board and the Advisory Board of the Tri-County Office on Aging. He was a Past Pres. of the State and National Commander General Military Order of Foreign Wars; U.S. Retired Officer's Assoc.; Michigan National Guard Retired Officer's Assoc.; was a Past Pres. of the Lansing U. Of M. Club Alumni Board; a Life Member of Lansing Lodge #33 F. & A. M.; DeWitt Clinton Consistory; Lansing High 12 Club and National Sojourners. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church where he served as Chairman of the Trustees; Moderator; and as President of the Plymouth Memorial Foundations. He was preceded in death by: wives, Margaret Blair Myers in 1966 and Betty Sargent Myers in 1997; and sister, Nellie Glowacki in 2001. Surviving are: daughters, Ramelle Hieronymus of Lincoln, MA, Marcia Myers and son-in-law, Mike McCarthy of Cincinnati, OH; brother, Col. Robert J. Baird of Chesapeake, VA; step-daughter, Jane Chamberlain of Austin, TX; step-son, Thomas Chamberlain of Belfast, ME; and many nieces and nephew. A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2002 at Plymouth Congregational Church, 2001 E. Grand River Ave., Lansing, with the Rev. Penny Swartz officiating. Interment has taken place in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Congregational Church Memorial Foundation.
Stoll, Thomas M., Sr.

Age 58, passed away on February 20, 2002, after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born on September 14, 1943 in Middletown, OH, and has lived in the Lansing area most of his life. He was a member of St. Mary Cathedral, and was a retiree of Motor Wheel Corporation. Surviving are: son, Thomas (Wendy) Stoll of Lansing; daughter, Lisa Varlesi of Haslett; 3 grandchildren, Hannah Stoll, Joseph and Marcus Varlesi; 3 brothers, Gerry Stoll of Grand Ledge, David Stoll of Lansing and Paul Stoll of East Lansing; 4 sisters, Jean Cusick of East Lansing, Rita Stoll of Lansing, Sylvia Boulas of Lansing and Mary Christmas of Eagle; 5 nephews and 6 nieces. The funeral mass was celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Michael D. Murphy, at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 23, 2002, at St. Mary Cathedral, 219 Seymour Ave, Lansing, with the rite of committal in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., on Friday, February 22, 2002 where the Rosary was prayed at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Cathedral, in memory of Thomas M. Stoll, Sr.

Age 45, passed away on August 21, 2001. She was born on December 31, 1955 in Pontiac. She graduated from Waterford Mott High School in 1974, from Olivet College in 1978, and received her Master of Arts Degree in Adult Education from Michigan State University. Sharon was employed by the State of Michigan, Department of Education for over 20 years. Surviving are: her husband, Mike; parents, Bill and Edith Panchuk; twin sister, Sherri (Joe) Komperda; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A memorial service was held at her home, at 12:00 noon, August 25, 2001. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Sharon L. Bricker. Age 51, passed away in Englewood, CO May 26, 2002. He was born in Wayne, MI Feb. 5, 1951 and was a Veteran, serving in the U. S. Air Force. He was a business owner in the petroleum and electronics industries. Surviving are: Wife, Madline; Son, Robert Gibson of Lakewood; 1 Grandchild; 2 Sisters, Pam Adams; Michele Pierson; 2 Brothers, Kevin Gibson, Roger Gibson. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Gibson, Jr. and a daughter, LaRae Gibson. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2002 in the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with The Rev. Dr. James Robinson of the Bethel Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. Sunday until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Douglas W. Gibson.
