Age 92. Born September 21, 1909 to Edward and Margaret Masseau, died on January 14, 2002. She was a retiree of Sparrow Hospital. She was preceded in death by: husband, Delbert; sons, James, John and Roger; and 7 sisters and brothers. She is survived by: sister, Mary Philo, daughter-in-law, Yvonne Spurbeck and Mildred Spurbeck; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. A funeral mass was held at 11:30 am., on Saturday, January 19, 2002 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3815 S. Cedar St, Lansing, with Fr. John A. Byers officiating. Interment was in Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2002 with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m., at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Jennings, Alice U.

Age 91 passed away on May 10, 2003. She was born in Ionia, MI on October 17, 1911 the daughter of Otto and Olga (Popp) Ulrich. She was a graduate of Michigan State University, Class of 1933 and taught school at West Junior High School, Lansing She was a life member of the Michigan State University Club, MSU Alumni Association, and active in Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. For more than ten years, she was a member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Altar Guild and served 19 years on the Altar Guild of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Midland Park, NJ. She had served as President of the Women’s Club of Wyckoff, NJ. Alice was a contributor to the arts through the Greater Lansing Symphony Orchestra, the Boarshead Theatre, the Wharton Center for the Performing Arts, and Friends of Hope Borbas, Okemos Branch Library. She was preceded in death by her husband John C. Jennings and son Donald. Survivors include three sons: David (Barbara) of Wales, Wisconsin, Robert of Ross, California, and John Jr. (Jane), of Freehold, New Jersey. She will also be missed by her great-grandson Zackery J.G. Bennett and three grandchildren, Debra Jennings (Todd) Bennett, John Kittner (Leah) Jennings, and Jessica Rachel Jennings, nieces and nephews Eleanore (Thomas) McGrain, Richard L. (Marie) Spaulding, Helen (Dwight) Lockwood. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 218 W. Ottawa, Lansing, with the Rev. Dr. Gordon Weller officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements by the Estes- Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

Age 85, passed away on October 2, 2002. He was born on November 14, 1916 in Lansing, the son of George and Mary (LaDuc) Cooper. He retired from G.M. after 36 years. He is survived by: daughter, Connie (Duane) Chadwell; 2 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 5, 2002 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow in East Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Grandma’s Pad for the loving care they gave Robert.

Age 97, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2003. She was born in Saxton, PA. The daughter of David B. and Ada Mae (Alloway) McGee. Survivors include her loving son Charles E. (Lyubomira) Gribble of Columbus, OH., her adored granddaughter, Elizabeth Rayna Gribble; nieces and nephews, James McGee, Mary Stone, Thelma Roher, Marian folaron, Ronald Cleeves along with very special friends Walter and Genevieve Horiszny. Mrs. Gribble was preceded in death by her husband Charles P. Gribble in 1974, brother Charles McGee, sister Flora Cleeves and niece Elizabeth Cleeves. In accordance with the wishes of the deceased cremation will take place and no services will be held. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Lansing Food Bank, 5303 S. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin C. in 2000 and a son, John E. in 1998. Surviving are: 2 Sons, Roger (Susan) Flading of Northville and Richard (Kathryn) Flading of (place); 4 Grandchildren, Jason (Felicia) Flading, Kim (Tony) Phillips, Jennifer Lynn Flading, and Merideth Anne Flading; 3 Great Grandchildren, Kaylee, Cassandra and Matthew Phillips. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2003 in the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with (Clergy) officiating. Interment will follow in Delta Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, and the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.until service time on Friday only. Age 75, passed away on October 3, 2003. Deloris was born on May 31, 1928 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Kenneth and Marguerite A. (Shannon) Siegmund. She was employed in the Lansing Parks and Recreation Department for over 20 years. Deloris was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Pinkston and her second husband Howard Cannady. Surviving are: her mother, Marguerite Rice of Lansing; children, Janie (David) Byers of Williamston, Donald Pinkston of Perry, Dennis (Michelle) Pinkston of El Segundo, CA and Paul (Carol) Pinkston of New Castle, PA. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Allyson (Michael) Shadowens, Cassandra (Mike) Vaughn, and Lloyd, Nicholas, Ty and Tina Pinkston; 7 great grandchildren, Ashley Kaylyn and Rory Michael Vaughn, and Alyssa, Joshua, Jordan, Alex and Kaylee Shadowens. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2003 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with Fr. David R. Pike of St. David’s Episcopal Church officiating. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Campbell, Keith Arnold

Age 84, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2002. He was born on the Campbell family farm in Shiawassee County on July 5, 1917, the son of Marshall W. and Gertie L. (Bensinger) Campbell. Mr. Campbell married Ethelyn (Carlson) on February 6, 1916 and enjoyed 56 years of marriage with her. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Europe during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post #460. He was also a member of the Lansing Elks Lodge, a life member of the Masonic Lodge #33, F&A.M., as well as being a long-time member of Walnut Hills Country Club. Mr. Campbell had been a Sales Representative for IBM. Corp. for almost 30 years, before his retirement in 1975. He was a member and Elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church and had volunteered for 25 years with the American Red Cross. Surviving are: his wife, Ethelyn; 3 children, Tom (Jamie) Campbell of Coronado, CA and their son, Christopher, Steve (Sallie) Campbell of Grand Ledge, MI and their children, Melissa, Tim, Elizabeth and Anna, and Kathleen (Gary) Peterson of Kalamazoo, MI; 1 brother, Walter (Millie) Campbell of Lansing; 1 sister, Floy Keitchen of Clearwater, FL; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2002 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 743 N. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Lansing, with the Rev. John Folkers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions, in loving memory of Keith A. Campbell, to Westminster Presbyterian Church or to a charity of one's choice.

Age 32, died as the result of automobile accident in Henrietta, TX on April 15, 2003. He was born in Lansing on June 24, 1970 and had lived in Lansing until 2001. He enjoyed motor cycles. Surviving are: 4 Daughters, Kimber’lee Jo, Erica Elizabeth, Harley Ann and Sandra Jean; 2 Brothers, John J. Cain, Jr. and Richard J. Cain, II (Erin); Sister, Dominique A. Cain; Parents, John J. and Shirley-Jo Cain. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2003 at the Church of The Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan Ave.; Lansing with Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Robideau officiating. There will be a Memorial Service at 12:00 Noon Friday, April 25, 2003 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St.; Lansing, with Pastor Lindsey T. Harper of the Diamondback Motor Cycle Club officiating. Interment of his ashes will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Okemos.
