Age 89, passed away on January 29, 2003. She was born on February 13, 1913 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the daughter, Erenest Leverrier and Gladys Howard (Thomas) Constant. Marjorie retired as a Secretary from Chrysler after 18 years of service and Sales & Marketing Executives Club of Lansing after 16 years of service; and also worked at J.L. Hudsons; and Vernors Ginger Ale. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; a charter member of Pioneer Civitan Club of Lansing; the Vivian Society Lansing Lodge #196 B.P.O. Elks; and an active volunteer for Lansing General Hospital and Ingham Regional Medical Center from 1972 –1997. She was preceded in death by: husbands, Leonard Alexander in 1971 and Walter Hahn in 1993; her parents; brother, Edward; and sister, Doreen Falk. She is survived by: cousin, Dulcie Shupe; nieces and nephews, Mary Rose Kovalcik, Karen Wuerfel, Edward Vechiola, Michael Vechiola and Patricia Remedi. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2003 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with the Rev. Anthony A. Patrick officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Age 101, passed away in Lansing on May 15, 2002. She was born in Harvey, ND Dec. 11, 1900 and had lived in Lansing since 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband R. LaVern Vastbinder in 1978 who was a clothier in Battle Creek for over 20 years. Surviving are nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law who lives in California. Interment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2002 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Age 87, passed away Nov. 1, 2001. He was born in Otter Lake, MI on May 10, 1914 and has lived in the Lansing area since 1947. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and a member the Choir. He was a Veteran of W. W. II, serving in the U.S. Army; employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 22 years, retiring 1974; a member of the Aging Four Barber Shop Quartet; a former member of the S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A; and a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Heart Association. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Anne Carr in 1975. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Maxine; Daughter, Joy (Jerome) Rudnick of Las Vegas; 6 Grandchildren, Sue (Robert, III) Gladstone, Daniel J. (Nicole) Boling, Carri Carr Lopez, Tim (Kathleen) Rudnick, Jeff (Robin) Rudnick, Mike Rudnick; 5 Great Grandchildren, Cortney, Sarah, Cheyanne, Tyler, and Brandon; nieces and nephews. Religious services were conducted by The Rev. John W. Boley, Pastor of Central United Methodist Church at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2001 in the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Church.

Age 87, passed away on August 21, 2002. She was born on June 10, 1915 in Baltimore, MD and has been a Lansing area resident for over 30 years. She was a member of Congregation Shaarey Zedek and Hadassah; and retired from Jacobson’s after 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin. She is survived by: sons, Harvey (Elaine) Wolfe of Monroeville, PA and Alan (Gail) Wolfe of Okemos; step-son, Jerry (Phyllis) Cohen of East Lansing; 8 grandchildren, Andrew (Ronni), Bonnie (Ted), Stephanie, Shoshanah (Brian), Rustin (Ali), Kyle, Lauren (Casey) and Kami; 2 step grandchildren, Matthew and Rene`; 4 great grandchildren; and sister, Thelma Cohen of Baltimore, MD. A memorial service will be held at Congregation Shaarey Zedek on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 7:30 p.m., with Dr. Morton Hoffman, Rabbi Emeritus and Cantor Pamela Schiffer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Shaarey Zedek in memory of Ethel Wolfe. Arrangements by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

Age 94, passed away on February 11, 2002. She was born in Nansfield, IL on December 11, 1907 and has lived in Lansing since 1940, moving to Mecosta in 1999 to reside with her son. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vito Presacano in February 1999; her parents, Robert and Mary Louise (Davis) McKee; 2 brothers, Robert and Lyle McKee; and a grandson, Richard Bailey. Surviving are: son, Robert (Helen) Bailey; 3 grandchildren, Steven (Beth) Bailey, Kenneth (Diane) Bailey and Ann (Steve) Slocum; 4 great grandchildren, Andrew and Amber Slocum, Nicole and Angela Horstman; nephews; and several close friends. Funeral services were held at 2;30 p.m., on Thursday, February 14, 2002 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with Chaplain Richard Preston of Hospice of Lansing officiating. Interment was in Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m., until service time on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in memory of Mrs. Presacano.

Age 69 passed away June 14, 2002. She was born on May 13, 1933 in Martin, TN to David C. and Christine (Taylor) Lee. Nell was a cosmetologist for over 40 years owning and operating Nell's Beauty Shop. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emerson Glasgow and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Harold E. Pitcher, Sr.; daughter, Christina (Frank) Kelly of Lake Zurick, IL; son, Ronald (Scarlett) McKinney of S. Fulton, TN; 2 step-daughters, Terri Bell of Norcross, GA, Diana (Mitch) Dowsett-Williams of Charlotte; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Per Nell's request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Howard in 1995. Surviving are: 2 Sons, Paul W. (Dalida) Kramer of Lansing and R. Ned (Weida) Kramer of Columbus, OH; 7 Grandchildren, Paula (Chris) Johnson of Haslett, Karol (Paul) VanderPloeg of Colorado Springs, CO, Kathy (Russ) Jorae of Laingsburg, Peter (Stephanie) Kramer of Lansing, Kim (Lee) Kennedy of Virginia Beach, VA, Tim (Deborah) Kramer and Jeff Kramer of Columbus, OH; 13 Great Grandchildren, Kristen and Matt Johnson, John, Adam and Janae VanderPloeg, Lucas and Chloe Jorae, Peter, Joshua and Katie Kramer, Brian and Scott Guter, Mary Kramer; 2 Sisters, Dorothy Vollworth of Hancock and Corrine Nordstrom of L’Anse; nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002 in the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel; 325 W. Washtenaw St. with Fr. Stanley Czarnota, Chaplain of the Dimondale Center officiating. Interment will follow at Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Age 76, passed away on January 4, 2002. He was born in Baku, Azerbajan on May 15, 1925 of Armenian and Hungarian heritage. He was a retired carpenter from his home country. Do to circumstances in Baku, he was forced to flee as a refugee in 1988. In 1995 he and wife joined their daughter and family in Holt. He loved his life in the United States and appreciated the life American offered him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, and was always willing to help others. Surviving are: wife, Yelizaveta; daughter, Angela (Arsen) Sarkisov of Holt; 2 grandchildren, Sergey and Tamara; sister, Elmira Evoyan; nephew, Igor Pogosyan; and other relatives living in Armenia and Russia. A funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Fr. Abraham Ohanesian at 2:30 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2002 at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m., on Sunday, January 6, 2002.
