Wilmer Gene Norris, 78 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Sunday morning, July 20, 2008 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
He was born on February 17, 1930 in Alabama; the son of John and Dora (Hill) Norris.
Surviviors include his wife, Shirley and his son, John (Lisa) Norris; one brother, John.
Gene worked for Ford Motor Co. and served with the US Army Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, D.A.V. and the Plymouth Rock Lodge #47 F&A.M.;
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Shelters Funeral Home in Pinckney, Michigan with burial in Pinckney Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1-8 PM on Tuesday July 22. A Masonic memorial service will be held at 7 PM
George E. Hassan

George E. Hassan, 84 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Wednesday morning, July 2, 2008 at his residence.
George was born on July 2, 1924 in Highland Park, Michigan; the son of George and Adelene (Olds) Hassan. He married Ruth Brown on January 1, 1970 in Pinckney, Michigan and she survives.
George is also survived by three daughters, Patricia (Larry) Hendrick, Barbara (Tom) Welch and Laurie (Ron) Rau; two sons, Curtis (Tina) Hassan and George (Kelly) Hassan; twelve grandchildren and preceded in death by one grandson.
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Shelters Funeral Home in Pinckney, Michigan with Rev. Lynn Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinckney Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday, July 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to the St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospice.

Adam R. Long, 27 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Sunday morning, June 29, 2008 in Wayne County.
He was born on April 9, 1981 in Ann Arbor, Michigan; the son of Richard and Kathleen (O'Mara) Long.
Adam is survived by his son, Tyler; his mother and father; his sister, Lindsay and two brothers, Jeff and Derek.
Cremation rites have been accorded, family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, July 6 at Shelters Funeral Home 250 N Mill St. Pinckney, Michigan.
James E. Gebhart Sr.

James E. Gebhart Sr, 74 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Wednesday morning, June 11, 2008 at his residence.
He was born on December 10, 1933 in Miamisburg, Ohio; the son of William L. and Lea C. (Gray) Gebhart. James married Marilyn Maki on March 4, 1961 in Miamisburg, Ohio and she survives.
James is also survived by three daughters, Bonita (Jim) Colvin, Leilani Dodson and Jamie Shelton; one son, James (Trish) Gebhart Jr.; six grandchildren; his sister in-law, Vickie (Clint) Ray; one niece and one nephew.
James was a retired mechanical engineer for the auto industry and a Navy veteran of the Korean War. James was also a member of many organizations including the Hale Lodge #518 F&AM;, the Shriners, lifetime member of Miamisburg American Legion and the Fraternal Order Of The Eagle #3607 of Howell, Michigan.
Family will receive friends 2-8PM on Friday, June 13, 2008 at Shelters Funeral Home 250 N Mill St. Pinckney Michigan. Cremation will follow visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are asked to the Shriner Childrens Hospital.
Betty J. Witter

Betty J. Witter, 84 years, of Pinckney, Michigan passed away Saturday evening, June 7, 2008 at her residence.
She was born May 1, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio; the daughter of Robert and Marguerite (Schlachter) Hemstreet. Betty married LeRoy "Bud" Witter on March 6, 1947 in Bellevue, Ohio and he survives.
Betty is also survived by her sister, Carol Bryant; stepson, David L. Witter; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two nephews. Preceded in death by her mother and father, three nieces and a brother in-law.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the Boys & Girls Club of Toledo, Camp Big Silver 2807 Tiplady Rd. in Pinckney, Michigan.
