Roger D. Holcomb

Roger D. Holcomb, 66 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Sunday morning, April 18, 2010 at his residence.
He was born May 16, 1943 in Ann Arbor, Michigan; the son of Oral and Gertrude Hartman Holcomb. Roger married Marjorie L. Bauer on September 17, 1966 in Ann Arbor, Michigan and she survives.
Roger is also survived by his son, Kevin (Jolie) Holcomb of Fowlerville, Michigan; three grandchildren, Justin, Ryan and Kora; his sister, Janice (Marshall) Paxson of Ann Arbor, Michigan; he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri on July 31, 2005.
Roger was the owner of Rogers Beer Distributor of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Family will receive friends 4-8 PM Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Shelters Funeral Home 250 N Mill St. Pinckney, Michigan.
A graveside service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Washtenong Memorial Park 3771 Whitmore Lake Rd. Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105.
Anjalynia D. Keiser-Smidt

Anjalynia D. Keiser-Smidt, 39 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Thursday evening, April 1, 2010 at her residence.
She was born January 29, 1971 in North Dakota; the daughter of George and Shari Miller Keiser. Anjal married Roger Smidt on April 7, 2006 in Pinckney, Michigan and he survives.
She is also survived by her daughter, Amanda Keiser and her mother Shari.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A Memorial service will be held 7 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Peoples Church, 500 W. Main St., Pinckney, Michigan with Rev. Patrick Bonnie officiating.
Memorial contributions are asked to the family.
Barbara Lou McCririe

Barbara Lou McCririe, 77 years, of Brighton, Michigan died Saturday morning, March 27, 2010 at her residence.
Barbara was born October 13, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan; the daughter of Raymond and Dorothy (Purdy) Barker.
Surviviors include her husband of fifty five years, Bill; five sons, Bill III (Susan Geddis), Dale (Laura), Bruce (Debbie), Gary, Glen (Carol). Barbara is also survived by nine grandchildren, Ian, Morgan, Paige, Alexandra, William, Cameron, Collin, Hailee and Connor; her sister, Betty Ann (Russ) McWilliams. She maintained a close personal relationship with each and every one of her grandchildren as well as her sister-in-law Ruth McCririe. Barbara's interests were her beautiful and well cared for gardens and her home which provided a welcome entrance to Brighton. Barbara was very active in the Red Balloon Tearoom and the Memorial Garden at the Brighton Methodist Church where she served as an usher.
A celebration of the life of Barbara Lou McCririe will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 400 E Grand River, Brighton, Michigan on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. The family will receive friends at 9:30 AM and the service will begin at 11 AM. Interment at the church's Memorial Gardens will take place immediately following the ceremony. Barbara's sister, Mary Jane Barker-Wheeler who died December 31, 2009 will be interred in the Memorial Gardens at the same time.
A Luncheon will be held at the church following the interment ceremony. At Barbara's request an informal party type celebration will occur at the Lakeland Country Club on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 5-7:30 PM. All are welcome.
The family offers special thanks to the Clergy at the Brighton First United Methodist Church, Trisha McCormick, Barbara's caregiver during her final hours, her many supportive friends, and the thoughtful hospice people who attended to her final needs and made her comfortable.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Garden Fund or to your favorite charity.
Ernest Neal Packer

Ernest Neal Packer, 27 years, of Plymouth, Michigan died Thursday morning, March 18, 2010.
Neal was born June 9, 1982 in Southfield, Michigan; the son of Ernest G. and Cherry N. (Pulley) Packer.
Neal is survived by his wife Lauren R. Svoboda; his son, Alexander Ryan Packer; mother and father and his brother, Kyle W. Packer.
Funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Shelters Funeral Home with burial following in the Pinckney cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-8PM Tuesday, March 23.
Robert P. Movinski

Robert P. Movinski, 84 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Monday afternoon, March 15, 2010 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Bob was born May 10, 1925 in Ecorse, Michigan; the son of William and Ethel Solo Movinski. Bob married Dolores Eckman on November 15, 1954 in Bowling Green, Ohio and she survives.
He is also survived by one daughter, Patti Barba of Pinckney and one son, Michael (Mary Ann) Movinski of Hartland; three grandchildren, Zachary, Jordan and Austin; sister, Ruth Trondle. Robert was preceded in death by his son, William.
Bob was a Chemical Lab Foreman for Great Lake Steel Company, a Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion Post 419 of Pinckney, Michigan.
Funeral mass will be held 11 AM Friday, March 19 at St. Mary Catholic Church 10601 Dexter-Pinckney Rd. Pinckney, Michigan with Fr. Willaim F. Wegher officiating, burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Family will receive friends 2-8 PM Thursday with a vigil service at 8 PM.
