Audrey I. Holben

Audrey Irene Holben, 64 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Tuesday morning, September 29, 2009 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
She was born March 4, 1945 in Ann Arbor, Michigan; the daughter of Walter and Emily (Mills) Spittler. Audrey married John Holben on April 25, 1964 in Belleville, Michigan and he survives.
Audrey is also survived by two sons, Thomas (Kathy) Holben of Pinckney and John Holben of Midland; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; her brother, Harold Spittler of Ypsilanti.
Funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, October 2, 2009 at Shelters Funeral Home 250 N Mill St. Pinckney Michigan with Rev. Carl Welser officiating. Cremation will follow service. Family will receive friends 10AM until 8PM Thursday, October 1 at the funeral Home.
Harold Edward Jentzen

Harold Edward Jentzen, 82 years of Howell, Michigan formally of Ypsilanti passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009, at St. Joesph Mercy Hospital. Harold was born December 4, 1926 in Rochester, Michigan the son of Edward Jentzen and Martha Balmer. He attended Holly (Michigan ) High School, graduating in 1947. He was married for 61 years to Lorraine Carlyle Mitchell. He enlisted in the United States Navy 1944-46 where he saw action in the South Pacific operations in Lyete Gulf and Mindoro aboard the LST 922 . He received a purple heart for wounds received in Mindoro.
Harold is survived by his wife Lorraine and six children, Julie Short, Howell, Michigan, Gary Jentzen (MaryAnn), Marshfield, Mass, Jeffrey Jentzen (Dorianne), Ann Arbor, Steven Jentzen (Mary), Ypsilanti
James Jentzen (Jeannette), Pine Grove, California, Andrew Jentzen, of Ann Arbor. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and eight great grand children, his sister Janice Truax (Leroy), a brother Walther Jentzen, William Russel Jentzen, and Jerry Sowles.
Visitation will be held at Shelters Funeral Home in Pinckney, Monday, September 28, 2009, 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be at Peoples Evangelical Free Church in Pinckney on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at 11 am. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan following the service. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Missions Board of Peoples Evangelical Free Church of Pinckney or Disabled American Veterans.

Anita L. Slocum, 67 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Friday morning, October 16, 2009 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Anita was born May 15, 1942 in Pinckney, Michigan; the daughter of Marvin and Lucille (Bixel) Shirey.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim Slocum and Marla (John) Slocum-Casper; her mother, Lucille and brothers, David and Brian.
Funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Peoples Church 500 W. Main St. Pinckney, Michigan with burial in Pinckney Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-8PM Sunday at Shelters Funeral Home 250 N Mill St. Pinckney, Michigan.
Alfred L. Ciesliga

Alfred L. Ciesliga, 84 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Friday afternoon, November 27, 2009 at his residence.
He was born December 14, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan; the son of Lewis and Rose (Darga) Ciesliga; Alfred married Margaret Merique in 1949 and she preceded his in death November 16, 1967.
Alfred is survived by one daughter, Caryl Duross of Pinckney and one son Larry Ciesliga of Warren; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Alfred owned Denver Mechanical a Plumbing and Heating Company and was a Air Force veteran of WWII.
Funeral mass will be held 1 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church 10601 Dexter-Pinckney Rd. Pinckney, Michigan with Rev. Fr. William F. Wegher as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 4-8 PM with a vigil service at 7:30 at Shelters Funeral Home 250 N Mill St. Pinckney, Michigan and also 12 noon until the time of service at the church.
John B. Mastroeni

John B. Mastroeni, 80 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Tuesday afternoon, November 24, 2009 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
John was born March 7, 1929 in Beckley, West Virginia; the son of Guiseppi and Giovanna (Todaro) Mastroeni. John married Norma Bragg, October 1959 and she survives.
John is also survived by two sons, John (Gerilyn) Mastroeni and Charles (Jennifer) Mastroeni both of Howell; three daughters, Jody (Frank Garver) Mastroeni of Grand Rapids, Toni (Daryl) Wetzel and Gina (Marvin) Evans both of Pinckney; six grand children, John B, Violet, Joseph, Kyle, Meghan and Gianna. John was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie in May of 2001.
John was a Research Scientist for Allied Signal (Honeywell) of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Pinckney Congregational Church 125 E. Unadilla St Pinckney, Michigan with Rev. Lynn Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinckney Cemetery. Family will receive friends 12-5 PM Friday, November 27 at Shelters Funeral Home 250 N Mill St. Pinckney, Michigan.
