THE BLUE AND GOLD, '17.
Swiftly come the students now to meet the coming clay,
How we love each morn to see these people bright and gay.
Silence reigns, but soon glad notes in chapel sweetly ring.
For, know ye, 'tis Wednesday and their morning songs they sing.

WE WONDER WHY:
Wilfrid is interested in the class of '19. Walter never fails to get a laugh. Milo always stands squarely on two
feet.
Margaret always reads without hesitating.
Prudence is continually casting loving
little glances so indiscriminately. Lawrence doesn't keep his "dates." Reuben is Joke editor.
Eleanor is so sweet tempered.
Ethel appears so modest.
Russell is so eloquent.
Doris blushes when Senator Johnson
of California is mentioned. Lillian rushes along the halls. Roland continues to grow.
Willis keeps the class record so carefully.
"AT THE FOOTHILLS CLIMBING." Not far away in the distance
A mountain peak towers to heaven. The "goal of success" is its summit. For us, the class of one-seven.
Let us not stay "at the foothills"
But tackle the rocky ascent.
And by "climbing" the last word of our motto,
Achieve, through our firm intent. W. I
HIGH SCHOOL DAYS.
In the clear old High School building, Where my old desk used to be. There are other pupils scant'
And I know they'll think of me. For the wood's all over'n ink spots And there's scratches on the glaze. And my gum is where I left it
In my last sweet High School days.
Oh. those dear old High School days, With their cut-up pranks and plays. I can never quite forget them.
As T tread life's busy ways.
And the eyes of memory gaze,
As my spirit backward strays
And my heart leaps high with longing, For those dear old High School days.
