GERALDINE "GERI" STONE, 63, of Farmington Hills, died Jan. 16. Prior to retirement in 2001, she was an elementary teacher in Livonia public schools. She received her master’s degree in literacy from Western Michigan, was a past president of the Michigan Institute of Reading Recovery and a Delta Kappa Gamma alumni.
Mrs. Stone is survived by her husband of 42 years, Raymond Stone; son, Michael Stone of Kalamazoo; daughter, Lisa Stone of Massachusetts; sister and brother-in-law, Zenia and Philip Miller of New Jersey.

BEATRICE GORDON, 72, former Detroiter of San Diego, died Dec. 19. She was a graduate of Central High School and Wayne State University. Mrs. Gordon did much volunteer work with Hadassah and Women’s American ORT.

HYMAN BROWN, 83, of Farmington Hills, died Oct. 3, 2002. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Pharmacy in 1940 and was a sergeant in the Army during World War II. He went on to become the owner-operator of Sam Brown Co. DR. SIMON HARRISON, 89, of Southfield, died Oct. 3, 2002. Dr. Harrison was a dentist who was a member of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity and the American Dental Association.
