Justin Michael Hiltz, age 24 went home to heaven June 10, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Justin was born in Flint on Jan. 6, 1983 the son of Russell and Denise (Farr) Hiltz. He was a graduate of Faith Baptist Schools of Davison and was currently a senior at Liberty University. Surviving are his mother Denise (Richard) Loga of Otter Lake; father Russell (Sharon) Hiltz of Holly; brothers and sisters, Aaron (Jennifer) Hiltz of Flint, Ashley (Justin) Collier of VA, Latasha Hiltz of Otter Lake, and Jordan Hiltz of Holly; step-brothers and step-sisters; Jessica Berry of Milford, Emily Banks of Wixom, Katie Banks of White lake, Christopher Loga of Otter Lake, Willie Loga of grand Blanc, Michael Loga and Julia Loga of Otter Lake; best friend Duke; grandparents Francis and Bethany Farr of Clio, Bud and Gayle Hiltz of Hope; great-grandmothers Lois Berry of Holly and Theresa Loga of Mt Morris; nieces and nephews Andrew and Michalyn Hiltz and Briley Bowman; and several aunts and uncles. James Raymond Waller, age 18 of Holly died June 8, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Pastor M. Jean Love officiating. Shirley E. Reading, age 82 formerly of Milford died Fri. June 1, 2007. She was born in Detroit on April 27, 1925 the daughter of Robert and Ida (Rawson) Caton. Shirley favored spending time with family and enjoyed attending church, playing cards, working crossword puzzles, reading novels, eating out, sewing, making crafts, and camping. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist of Milford. She is survived by 5 children, David Reading of CA, Dennis (Laura) Reading of Brownstowne, MI, Sandra Reading of White Lake, Robin (Jackie) Reading of Highland, and Kristin (Jeff) Lloyd of Swartz Creek; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters Roberta Reid of FL and Geri Harrington of Commerce Twp. Anthony Mitchell Jr., age 83 of Holly died Sat. May 26, 2007. Mr. Mitchell was born in Glasgow, Scotland on Sept. 23, 1923 the son of Anthony and Margaret (Miller) Mitchell. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army. He was retired from the Bud Co. He was a life member of the Curtis-Wolverton VFW Post of Fenton, and a former member of the Bruce VFW Post of St. Clair Shores. Surviving are his wife Geri; 1 son, Jim (Mary) Mitchell of Holly; 2 granddaughters Chelsea and Jenna; 2 sisters, Laura Oberson of Livonia and Kyra McAfee of Canada; and dear niece Francine Toney of Plymouth. Russell H. Reed, age 82 of Holly died Mon. May 14, 2007 at Holly Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Rev. Jeff Miller officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Mr. Reed was born in Fenton on May 10, 1925 the son of Harry and Maud (Wilhoit) Reed. He is survived by his sister Barbara Addis of Holly and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jacqueline Steffey.

Ralph G. Wilson, age 86 of Farwell, formerly of Clawson died Thurs. June 19, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tues. June 24, 2008 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Burial and military honors will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be from 2-9 P.M. Monday. Mr. Wilson was born in Detroit on Sept. 8, 1921 the son of Grant and Myrtle (Lundy) Wilson. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the US Army Engineers Battalion which was honored by the United States Congress on March 24, 1995 in recognition of extra ordinary performance for constructing the world's largest ponton bridge across the Rhine River at Oppenheim. He retired from Burroughs Corp in 1982 and was a member of the Free Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 66 years Ruth; 2 children, Colin (Brenda) Wilson of Holly and Harold (Mary) Wilson of Mancelona; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Ethel and a grandson Greg. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Bernard "Gene" Kienzle, age 85 of Holly died Tues. June 17, 2008 at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Fri. June 20, 2008 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly, with Pastor Ed Pedley officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly with full military honors. Visitation will be from 2-9 P.M. Thursday. Gene was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 2, 1922 the son of Frank X. and Mary (Stingle) Kienzle. Gene married Elsie (Merrill) Kienzle on Oct. 5, 1986. Gene was a Staff Sergeant with the US Army in WWII, CO L 394th Inf, 99th Inf Divisions and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. While in Germany he was captured and was a prisoner of war for 5 months. Gene was a life member of the Davison VFW. Gene and wife Elsie spent their winters in Nalcrest, FL (near Lake Wales). Surviving are his wife Elsie; son David Kienzle of Flint; daughter Pamela Knapp of Fenton; brother Harry of Pennsylvania; 3 grandchildren, Ann (John) Kotalik of Holly, Alan (Amy) Knapp of Davisburg, and Andrew (Dana) Knapp of Holly; 6 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Heather, and Katelynn Kotalik, Haley and Abigail Knapp, and Zachary Knapp; and 1 great-great-grandchild due in November.
