Donald H. Wilson, age 79 of Holly died Sun. Jan. 20, 2008 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thurs. Jan. 24, 2008 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Burial will be in Rose Center Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 7-9 P.M. Tues. and Wed. Mr. Wilson was born in Pontiac on June 20, 1928 the son of Crowell and Lola (King) Wilson. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy, where he played in a Navy band. He was retired from General Motors and was also an accomplished professional musician. Surviving are his wife Barbara; son Geoff Wilson of Fenton; daughter-in-law Deanna Wilson of Holly; 2 grandchildren, Leigh (Rich) Coburn of Holly and Shawn (fiancée` Kristin) Wilson of Traverse City; great-granddaughter Kayleigh Coburn; 2 brothers Bob Wilson of FL and Eddie Wilson of GA. He was preceded in death by 3 children, Bradford, Bruce, and Amy Wilson; sister Lois Alber; and daughter-in-law Denise Wilson. Barry William Odykirk, age 62 of Holly died Sat. Jan. 12, 2008 in Las Vegas, NV. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, Jan. 21, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Pastor Ed Pedley officiating. Visitation will be from.2-9 P.M. Sunday. Military honors and Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly at a later date. Mr. Odykirk was born in Flint on Dec. 10, 1945 the son of Robert and Lucille (Bierie) Odykirk. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the US Marine Corp and was retired from the US Army Reserves. He was a journeyman pipe fitter, retiring from Pipe Fitters Local #370 of Flint. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holly, the DAV, the VFW, and the NCO Association. He is survived by his wife Jackuline; 2 daughters Jeanne` (Tom) Cairns of Fenton and Rhonda Barnhart of FL; 4 grandchildren, Crystal, Tiffany, Nastassja, and Cameron; 5 sisters Jacqueline Moore of Swartz Creek, Sandra Cruse of OK, Roberta (David Kowalski) Proffer of Swartz Creek, Elizabeth Rose of Swartz Creek, and Nancy Lince of Traverse City; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Kenner was born in Chattanooga, TN on Dec. 8, 1941 the son of Harrison and Laura (LaPointe) Kenner. He served in the US Navy and was a member and Commander of Hulet-Bravender Post #5587 VFW of Holly. He was retired from GM. He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, a commissioner on the Holly Park Commission, a Cub Master with the Cub Scouts, and a member of the Flint Lock Muzzle Loaders Club of Lapeer. Surviving are his wife Pauline; 10 children, Fred Kenner of Lake Orion, Sherry (Jeff) Fritchman of Romulus, Allen (Selina) Kenner of Gaines, Yvonne (Tom) Bair of Flint Twp, James (Kathy) Hamner of Burton, Mary Beth Hamner of Holly, Ann Marie (Brian) Broecker of Fenton, Kevin (Barbara) Papuga of White Lake, Andrew Papuga of Holly, and Jaime Kenner of West Bloomfield; 19 grandchildren; and sister Barbara (Joell) McKirley of GA. He was preceded in death by his parents Laura and Harrison Kenner.

Mrs. Guilds was born in Kingston, MI on Dec. 19, 1925 the daughter of Merrill and Edna (Brief) Caverly. She was a former employee of General Motors and Hawke Tool of Clarkston. Surviving are 2 daughters Judy (David Sr.) Cohoon of Holly and Pamela (William) Blodgett of Holly; 4 grandchildren, David Cohoon Jr. and Anthony (April) Cohoon both of Holly and Hollie (Jon) Ladd of Sparta and Heidi Blodgett of Rockford; 4 great-grandchildren; Pricilla, Quinn, Gillian and Gage Cohoon; brothers and sisters Richard Caverly, Barb Grose, Mona Little, Thelma Fogarty, and Kenny Caverly. Marian Neely, age 83, of Fenton, went to be with the Lord, December 16, 2007. She was born in Chicago, Illinois and passed on at Genesys Health Park. She taught at Holly Area Schools for 35 years. A long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Holly she served as choir director and organist for many years. She accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior at age 24 and served Him faithfully all of her life. She is survived by daughters Joy Hunt of Georgia, Susie Cairns of Ohio, and Katie Neely of California; a brother William Rance and sister Dorothy Bomar both of Florida. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Estelle Rance, husband Ernest Neely, and brothers Jim and Jack. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 4-9 p.m. at Dryer Funeral Home, Holly, Michigan. Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 21 at 3 p.m. at Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. A memorial service will be held on December 27 at 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Holly with Pastor Ed Pedley officiating.

Rita M. Burrows, age 86, of Fenton, formerly of Highland died Mon. Dec. 10, 2007 at home. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles "Bud" Burrows and her daughter Nora Burrows. Surviving are her son Steven (Rosanne) Burrows of Fenton; 3 grandchildren, Brent and Andrew Burrows and Rene Burrows; sister Mabel Herr of Waterford; nephews Richard Herr of Waterford and Wayne Junks of FL. Ralph J. Boyd, age 72 of Center Hill, FL, formerly of Holly died Wed. Dec. 5, 2007 at home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Mon. Mr. Boyd was born in Kenton, Ohio on July 18, 1935 the son of Ralph and Elizabeth (Lingren) Boyd. He was retired from GM after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Holly Lodge #134 F&AM and a member of the Center Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Barbara; 2 children, Michael (Mary) Boyd of West Bloomfield and Teresa Brody (John Clark) of Holly; 4 grandchildren, Brittany and Bianca Boyd and Logan and Jesse Clark; sister Bernice Beebe of Holly; and many nieces and nephews. Harold J. Vollink, age 96 of Holly died Friday Nov. 23, 2007 at Genesys Convalescent Center in Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at the Calvary United Methodist church, Holly with the Rev. Jeffrey Miller officiating. Burial will be at Olive Branch cemetery in Holly. Visitation will be Sat. 5-8 p.m. and Sun. 3-8 p.m. Mr. Vollink was born in Grandville, Mi. the son of John H. and Lena (Velekoop) Vollink. He was retired from the Ashland Oil Co. and was a past member of the Holly School Board. Harold was involved with the Young at Heart, Davisburg, Austin-Electa Chapter #396, Davisburg, Holly Hocks and Holly and Ortonville Historical Societies. Surviving are his wife, Alice (Sexsmith) Vollink; three children, James Vollink, Madison Heights, Patricia (Bruce) Harton, Holly, and David (Lola) Vollink, Croswell. Grandchildren; Daniel (Elizabeth) Harton, Michael Hartfill, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Harton, Sasha (Chad) Brown and Sarina Vollink. And 9 great-grandchildren. One sister, Angeline Kiper, and one sister-in-law, Mary Vollink.
