William was born in Pontiac on May 5, 1980. Loretta F. Darvin, age 82, formerly of Rochester Hills died Wed. Nov. 7, 2007. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Mon. Nov.12, 2007 at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy with Father Thomas Slowinski officiating. Mrs.. Davrin was born in Canada on March 29, 1925.She is reunited with her late husband Leo L. Darvin who preceded her on Nov. 5, 2003. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a caring person who always put others first , and she cherished her Catholic Faith. James H. Ambrose "Jim" 78 of Grand Blanc, formerly of Burton, passed away Oct. 26, 2007 at Alterra Clare Bridge. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Rev. Robert D. Taylor officiating. Military honors will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Jim was born in Huntingdon, PA. He joined the USMC on Aug. 23, 1949. He served in Korea and participated in the Chosin campaign and the seizure on Inchon. He was discharged as a Sergeant in 1952. He met and married Phyllis Cornell in Washington D.C. in 1952. They returned to Phyllis' home in Flint and have lived in the area ever since. Jim retired as building inspector for the City of Flint in 1981. His wife of 55 years, Phyllis, passed away on Nov. 3, 2007. He is survived by his 3 daughters, Debbie (Andy) Tabbert of Linden, Dale (Jerry) Blunk of Merrill, and Penny (Rich) Perez of Grand Blanc; 3 granddaughters Tara and Amanda Tabbert of Linden and Kassi Perez of Grand Blanc. He is also survived by his brother William (Janet) Ambrose of Holidaysburg, PA; sister-in-law Betty Ambrose of Panama City, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Frederick D. White, age 79 formerly of Holly died Wed. Oct. 24, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sat. Oct. 27, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Pastor Don Fry officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 7-9 P.M. Friday. Mr. White was born in Fenton on Jan. 17, 1928. He was a former employee of Huron Valley School System and was formerly a farmer. Surviving are 5 children, Frank White of TN, Fred White of Rose City, Allen White of Rose City, Dan White of TN, and Betty Schofer of Burton; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister Edna Fuller of Fenton. Wed. and from 12-3 P.M. Thurs. Mrs. Rayburn was born in Detroit on Jan. 27, 1946 the daughter of Edward and Grace (Gustafson) Rayburn. She was a member of the Northwest Oakland County Fire Dept. Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband William; 3 children, Sheryl (Bill) Flowers of Fenton, Michele Rayburn of Sterling Heights, and William Rayburn Jr. of Grand Blanc; 7 grandchildren, Anthony, Thomas, and Matthew Flowers, Ashley Betts, and Dylan Karbousky, Kaitlyn and Nicole Rayburn; 3 brothers Thomas Kelley, and James and Jeffrey Burss; sister Phyllis Alexander; and beloved dog Koko. Robert Raymond Clark, 80, longtime resident of Springfield Township and Roscommon, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2007 in Traverse City, Michigan. Bob, as he liked to be called, was born October 24, 1926 in Pontiac, Michigan to Raymond and Sigrid Clark. He graduated from Clarkston High School. In 1953, he married Barbara Jean Horton. He owned and operated Bob Clark's Service on the corner of Dixie Highway and Davisburg Road for fifty years. He was past Master and life member of Austin Lodge #48 F&AM, a member of the Scottish Rite and Elf Khurafeh Shrine. He was active in his community, serving on the Springfield Township Parks and Recreation Commission for over thirty years and a member of the Animal Shelter of Crawford County, where his beloved log cabin is located. He loved his family and his dogs. Bob is survived by his wife Barbara; his sons Robert "Larry" (Mary) Clark of Tennessee, Randall (Janice) Clark of Clarkston, and Russell Clark of Holly; daughter Robin (Bill) Armitage of Flint; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Clark and Raymond Clark. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, Oct. 15, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Visitation will be from 7-9 P.M. Saturday and form 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. Sunday and a Masonic Memorial service will be at 7:00 P.M. Sunday. Surviving are 2 daughters Jennifer Chanter of Holly and Stephanie (Bill) Farris of AL; 3 grandchildren, Bradley (Carrie) Chanter of Swartz Creek, Janie Chanter of Saginaw, and Erin (Will) Waddell of AL; and great-grandson Joseph William Waddell. She was retired from the Social Security Administration after 28 years of service. She enjoyed motorcycle riding and fishing. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband Jim; 3 children, Joelle (Jeff) Engle of Otsego, Debbie (Paul) Littleton of Clarkston, and Bruce (Melissa) Hansen of NY; 8 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Emma, Mary Evelyn, Clare, Joseph, Gianna, Josh, and Megan; mother Ruth Willett of Holly; sister Donna Blasko of AZ; and brother Hugh Willett. She was the former owner of Tri-County Pet Center of Holly. She is survived by her daughter Melissa Wiering; 3 grandchildren, Dayton Michael Wiering, Airianna Marie Wiering, and Hannah Michelle Wiering; 2 sisters, Elaine (John) Fishbaugh of Davisburg, and Sue Fann of Waterford; niece Dianna (Michael) Patterson; nephew Charles (Dina) Senick; great-nieces Courtney and Taylor Senick; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He married Evalyn "Evie" Hauer on June 9, 1956 and she survives him along with; 3 children, Michael (Krista) Gudith of Westland, Brian L. Gudith of AZ., and Susan (John) Allen of Imlay City; 2 grandchildren, Mitchell and Mackenzie Allen; and a Gudith grandbaby to be born soon; 2 sisters, Anne Davis of Grand Blanc and Joyce (Duane) McKeachie of Flint; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
