William A. Bishop III, age 27 of Fenton died Tues. Nov. 6, 2007 in McKees Rocks, PA of unknown causes. Visitation will be from 7-9 P.M. Tues. Nov. 13, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. William was born in Pontiac on May 5, 1980. He is survived by his parents Denise and Bill Bishop of GA; son Jaedyn Hubbard of Wixom; brother Robert Bishop of Fenton; grandparents William and Virginia Bishop of GA, Karen Flesher of FL, and Charles A. Northey III of Tawas City; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
Loretta F. Darvin, age 82, formerly of Rochester Hills died Wed. Nov. 7, 2007. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Mon. Nov.12, 2007 at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy with Father Thomas Slowinski officiating. Mrs.. Davrin was born in Canada on March 29, 1925.She is reunited with her late husband Leo L. Darvin who preceded her on Nov. 5, 2003. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a caring person who always put others first , and she cherished her Catholic Faith. Surviving are her 3 children, Barry Darvin of CO, Hannah Garrett of Rochester Hills, and Diane Stewart of Madison Heights; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. James H. Ambrose "Jim" 78 of Grand Blanc, formerly of Burton, passed away Oct. 26, 2007 at Alterra Clare Bridge. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Rev. Robert D. Taylor officiating. Military honors will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Jim was born in Huntingdon, PA. He joined the USMC on Aug. 23, 1949. He served in Korea and participated in the Chosin campaign and the seizure on Inchon. He was discharged as a Sergeant in 1952. He met and married Phyllis Cornell in Michigan. Bob, as he liked to be called, was born October 24, 1926 in Pontiac, Tennessee, Randall (Janice) Clark of Clarkston, and Russell Clark of Holly; daughter Robin (Bill) Armitage of Flint; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Clark and Raymond Clark. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, Oct. 15, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Visitation will be from 7-9 P.M. Saturday and form 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. Sunday and a Masonic Memorial service will be at 7:00 P.M. Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or the charity of your choice.
Margaret E. "Marnie" Ganshaw, age 86 of Holly died Mon. Oct. 1, 2007 at home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thurs. Oct. 4, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be from 4-9 P.M. Tues. and from 2-5 and 7-9 P.M. Wed. Mrs. Ganshaw was born in Flint on May 14, 1921 the daughter of Jeddie and Zilla (Nunn) White. She was a graduate of the Hurley School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of the Holly Presbyterian Church and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are 2 daughters Jennifer Chanter of Holly and Stephanie (Bill) Farris of AL; 3 grandchildren, Bradley (Carrie) Chanter of Swartz Creek, Janie Chanter of Saginaw, and Erin (Will) Waddell of AL; and great-grandson Joseph William Waddell. Jackie Hansen, age 58 of Grand Blanc died Mon. Sept. 24, 2007 at home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thurs. Sept. 27, 2007 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church of Fenton with Father David Harvey, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be from 2-9 P.M. Wed. and a Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Wed. at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Mrs. Hansen was born in Pontiac on May 24, 1949 the daughter of Joseph and Ruth (Feuling) Manzi. She was retired from the Social Security Administration after 28 years of service. She enjoyed motorcycle riding and fishing. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband Jim; 3 children, Joelle (Jeff) Engle of Otsego, Debbie (Paul) Littleton of Clarkston, and Bruce (Melissa) Hansen of NY; 8 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Emma, Mary Evelyn, Clare, Joseph, Gianna, Josh, and Megan; mother Ruth Willett of Holly; sister Donna Blasko of AZ; and brother Hugh Willett. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Manzi and brother Thomas Manzi. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Nancy Karen Wiering, age 55 of Holly died Tues. September 18, 2007. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sat. Sept. 29, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Holly with Pastor Ed Pedley officiating. Mrs. Wiering was born in Pontiac on June 4, 1952 the daughter of Edwin and Eleanor (Nichols) Dinnan. She was the former owner of Tri-County Pet Center of Holly. She is survived by her daughter Melissa Wiering; 3 grandchildren, Dayton Michael Wiering, Airianna Marie Wiering, and Hannah Michelle Wiering; 2 sisters, Elaine (John) Fishbaugh of Davisburg, and Sue Fann of Waterford; niece Dianna (Michael) Patterson; nephew Charles (Dina) Senick; great-nieces Courtney and Taylor Senick; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials donations to the family.

Wayne M. Gudith, age 74 of Holly died Tues. Sept. 11, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sat. Sept. 15, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Pastor M. Jean Love officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly with military honors by Hulet-Bravender Post 5587 VFW and Amel Schwartz Post #149 American Legion. Visitation will be from 2-9 P.M. Thurs. and Fri. Mr. Gudith was born in Flint on March 16, 1933 the son of Emery and Julia (Mitchell) Gudith. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army, and he was a member of Hulet-Bravender Post #5587 VFW of Holly. He married Evalyn "Evie" Hauer on June 9, 1956 and she survives him along with; 3 children, Michael (Krista) Gudith of Westland, Brian L. Gudith of AZ., and Susan (John) Allen of Imlay City; 2 grandchildren, Mitchell and Mackenzie Allen; and a Gudith grandbaby to be born soon; 2 sisters, Anne Davis of Grand Blanc and Joyce (Duane) McKeachie of Flint; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
