John C. Ingles, age 63 of Fenton and Holly died Sun. Sept. 9, 2007 at home. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thurs. Sept. 13, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton with Pastor Dale Swihart officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Wed. at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Graveside services and burial will be at 1:00 P.M. Fri at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo. Mr. Ingles was born in Kalamazoo on Oct. 3, 1943 the son of Albert and Maxine (MacDowell) Ingles. He retired from Holly High School after 39 years as a mathematics teacher. He also coached football, wrestling, baseball, and the quiz bowl teams. He earned his bachelor's degree from Kalamazoo College and his master's degree from Oakland University. He was a deacon and a member of the hand bell choir at the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton. He was a member of the Galien Woods Historical Society and published 2 books on genealogy. Surviving are his wife Ann; 3 children, Jane (Jeff) Garver of Petoskey, Sarah (Matt) White of MN, and Eric Ingles of Clio; 3 grandchildren, Brynne Garver, Grace Garver, and Logan White; 1 brother G. Mrs. St. Onge was born in St. Joachim, Ontario, Canada on Oct. 7, 1916 the daughter of Nelson and Febronie (Thibert) DeLaurier. She was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church. Surviving are 3 children, Lyle (Robin) St. Onge of Goodrich, Linda (Ron) Palmgren of Holly, and Debbie (Tim) Miller of Linden; 9 grandchildren, Greg, Gordon, Genevieve, Glenn (Cory), Steve (Lindsay), Amy, Eric (Laura), Trevor (Lori) and Kurt; 5 great-grandchildren, Saria, Ava-Clair, Hunter, Gage, and Faith; 2 sisters Marie Thomas of VA and Merine St. Onge of Canada; sisters-in-law Bern, Sadie, and Rita; and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial was in Rose Center Cemetery. Mr. Clark was born in Holly on May 22, 1928 the son of Fred and Maxine (Swayze) Clark. He was a life long farmer in Rose Township. He is survived by his wife Marjorie; 2 children, Mark (Laurel) Clark of Holly and James (Kathy) Clark of Holly; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Heather, and John; 1 sister Mary Ellen Pittman of Bad Axe. Born September 29, 1931 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. The only child of Richard E. and Vivian T. (Davis) Hoffman. Dode graduated from Wayland Academy in Beaverdam, Wisconsin in 1949 and was a fashion model for two years. She married husband Bob in Waukegan, Ill. In 1952.. Dode and Bob moved to Holly in 1955 where they enjoyed rearing their children, Timothy (Barbara), Ellen (Mark) Zale, Laura, and Robert. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Betty Reed, two nephews of Indiana, five wonderful grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Dode was preceded in death by her mother and father, her favorite Aunt Sarah, and her step-father, Melvin Mackey. Thanks to Saginaw Saint Mary, Genesys and Heartland Hospices, nurses Donna and Kathy and social worker Judy. In lieu of flowers, donate to the charity of your choice.
There will be a celebration of her life and birthday on Sunday, September 30, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 149 in Holly.
Dode was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She will be loved always and missed forever. She was a good-hearted woman. Good night sweetheart.

Surviving are 3 children, Dan (Judy) Felch of Holly, Harvey Clement of Holly, and Gregg (Sheryl) Clement of TN; 6 grandchildren, Lynette (John) Morci, Kimberly (Jim) Gabera, Danny (Kim) Felch, Lindy (Brad) Simms, Garner Clement, and Charlie Clement; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elsie, and she loved to care for elderly people. Surviving are 2 daughters, Jean (Gary) Roth of Lainsburg and Sharon Freeman of Owosso; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters Eva Freeman and Darla Bair and sons Scott, Charles, and David Freeman. Memorial donations may be given to the family.
Vera E. Stiller, age 97 of Holly died Wed. Aug. 8, 2007. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sun. Sept. 16, 2007 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Pastor Tim Dibble officiating. Mrs. Stiller was born in Deerfield Twp. on March 15, 1910 the daughter of Clark and Gladys (Dunlop) Oliver. She was an executive secretary at Buick in Flint and owned her own monographing business. She was a former member of the McLaren Hospital Auxiliary, the Flint Golf Club, Yard and Garden Club of Flint, and the North Oakland Arrangers Guild She taught flower arranging and millinery at Mott Community College and was a flower show judge with the WNF&GA.
