Patsy Colyne Medlock, age 70 of Holly, Michigan died on February 1, 2010 sorounded by her loved ones. Burial will be at 11 AM Saturday in Popular Grove Cemetery in Springville Twp., Tennesee. Patsy was born on November 28, 1939 in Myrtle, Missouri. Sharon P. Aichner of Flint, Michigan died on the morning of February, 1 2010 at Avalon Hospice. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Friday at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. There will be a private burial with Mr. William West officiating. Sharon was born on November 4, 1931 in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Fenton High School in 1949 and she retired from GM after working 30 years of service in 1986, and she also worked for Michigan Children's Aid. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Eric, her parents Francis and Laone Brill and a niece. Sharon is survived by her brother Thomas L. (Niki) Brill, two nieces and two nephews.

Stephen Yobuck, age 89 of Lake Suzy, FL, formerly of Holly passed away Sat. Jan. 23, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Mon. Feb. 1, 2010 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Rev. Bill Robertson and Rev. Ann Robertson officiating. Military honors and burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Mr. Yobuck was born in Brownsville, PA on Nov. 14, 1920 the son of John and Mary Yobuck. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Coast Guard. He was a member of the Holly Masonic Lodge #134, VFW, American Legion, the Deep Creek Elks, Moose Lodge, and the Sunnybreeze Golf Course. He has been a resident of Florida for the past 30 years. He is survived by his wife Rose; son John (Cheryl) Yobuck; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his sister Mary Bailey.

Charles Reed Morris, of Florida, formerly of Waterford passed away at home at the age of 84 years old on Jan. 18, 2010. He was born on Jan. 23, 1925 to Loy and Elizabeth Morris of White Lake. He was a devoted husband of the late Betty Morris; dear father of Dan Morris, Cheri (Bill) Booth, Charlotte (Eric) Demars, Chuck (Sandy) Morris, and Mark (Teresa) Morris. Marilyn C. (Mimi) Long, age 69 of Holly passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM Monday January 18, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Holly with Pastor Ed Pedley officiating. Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation at Dryer Funeral Home, in Holly on Sat. & Sun. from 2-5 and 7-9 PM. Mimi has lived in Holly all her life, the daughter of the late Walter and Josephine (Smith) Andrews. She graduated from Holly High School in 1958 and attended Central Michigan University and Baker College. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holly where she taught Vacation Bible School, Bethel Bible Series and sung in the choir. Mimi enjoyed vacationing up north, playing golf and softball. Mimi cared for many children in her home but considered her family to be her greatest joy. Surviving are: husband Jimmie of 47 years; children Philip (Robin) Long of Fenton, Lisa (Peter) Hickman of Westfield, New Jersey, Lesley (Neale) Jesse of Fenton; 7 grandchildren; Eric, Jacob, Caleb, Jordan, Mason, Adam and Abigail and sister Toni (Bill) Conti of Fenton. Thomas J. Watson, age 73 of Davisburg died Sun. Jan. 10, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Sat. Jan. 16, 2010 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Visitation will be from 2-9 PM Friday. Mr. Watson was born in Detroit on Dec. 19, 1936 the son of Keith and Helen (McKenney) Watson. He was an employee of the Detroit Zoo for 32 years and upon retirement he founded the Pretty Pony Pastures Therapeutic Riding Facility. He was a life long member of the Girl Scouts and he loved being outdoors, hunting, and being in the woods. He is survived by his wife Linda; 6 children, Serena (Paul) Flannery of West Bloomfield, Sharry (Rodney) Seifferlein of Clinton Twp., Wesley (Deidra) Watson of Center Line, Karen Root of TX, Stephen Schreiber of Livonia, and Jacquelyn Schreiber of TN; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and brother Leslie Watson. He was preceded in death by his brother Edward Irving Watson and a grandson. Memorials may be made to the Detroit Zoological Society or any therapeutic riding faculty.
Mary Alice Lacey, age 89, of Holly died Tues. Jan. 5, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sat. Jan. 9, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Holly with Pastor Ed Pedley officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be from 4-9 PM Thursday and from 2-5 and 7-9 PM Friday at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. She was born on May 16, 1920, in Holly, the daughter of Claude and Grace (Hudson) Lacey. She graduated from Baker University in Flint and then worked for McKinnon and Mooney Insurance for 45 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holly since 1937 where she taught Sunday School for 71 years, directed the choir for 20 years, was church secretary since 1985, and was a Life Deaconess. She will be sadly missed by everyone whose life she touched. She is survived by 3 nephews, Dick (Kim) Lacey of Holly, Mike (Laurie) Lacey of Holly, and Bob (Kay) Lacey of Holly; 6 great-nieces and nephews; and 3 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Lacey. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Holly for children's ministry.
Victor Mungia, age 45 of Holly died Mon. Jan. 4, 2010. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thurs. Jan. 7, 2010 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Pastor Steven Potter officiating. He was an employee of Amurcon of Auburn Hills and was an avid fisherman, hunter, and craftsman. Surviving are his daughter Shasta (Jason) Van Sickle of Holly; grandson Jason Van Sickle; mother Barbara Mungia of Manistee; 2 brothers Charles Mungia of Manistee and Nicholas Mungia of Manistee; Marie Neal aka "Sis" of Manistee; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Milton Forrest Searl, 87, died at home in Davisburg, MI of heart failure on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Divine Mercy Parish at St. Rita Catholic Church in Holly, MI at 12 Noon on Dec. 30, 2009. He will be buried along side his wife in Los Altos, CA. Visitation will be from 6-9 PM, with a Scripture Service at 7 PM on Tuesday at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. He was a quiet, generous man, liked by all, devoted to family and friends, the Catholic Faith, and his work. He loved outer space, mathematics, comics, and nature. He is survived by his 2 sons Robert and Thomas (Cecilia), 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He was born in Princeton, IL on Feb. 9, 1922; the only child of Forrest W. and Frieda M. (Cork) Searl. During WWII he served in the Navy, then graduated in Economics from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He started his career with Stanlin Oil in Tulsa, OK where he met and married Mildred F. Durkee. His 40-plus year career in "Energy Economics" led him to positions with the US Government at the Atomic Energy Commission and the President's Office of Science and Technology, and finally to the private sector with Resources for the Future and ultimately to the Electric Power Research Institute, Palo Alto, CA.
