Keith M. Cousins, age 71 of Holly died Thursday, June 4, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be from 2-9 P.M. Friday. Mr. Cousins was born in Flint on December 27, 1937 the son of Lloyd and Ferne (Frost) Cousins. He was a 1957 graduate of Davison High School. He married Janet Luxon on Oct. 2, 1965. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was retired from Ryder Auto Carriers (formerly Boutell). After retirement, he went back to farming and raising Polled Hereford Cattle. He was always ready to serve others . He loved the rural nature of Rose Township and was active at the Rose Township government meetings. Surviving are his wife Janet; 1 brother Carl Cousins of Millington; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lee Cousins, and nephew Bucky Cousins. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Darleen "Mickey" DeYoung, age 75 of Holly, MI and Rockport, TX died Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Saranac Cemetery, Saranac, Michigan. Darleen was born in Ionia, Michigan on Sept. 3, 1933 the daughter of Glenn and Frances (Youngs) Young. She retired from teaching with the Durand Area Schools in 1993.She is survived by her husband Leonard; son Case B. (Donna) DeYoung of Saranac, MI and daughter Blair (Jim McDonald) DeYoung of Walled Lake, MI; 2 grandchildren, Captain Zachariah DeYoung, MD with the US Army, and Michaella DeYoung of Lansing, MI; 1 great-granddaughter Isabella DeYoung; and sister Kathleen Royal of Sheridan, MI. Frances M. Waller, age 73 of Flint died Thursday, April 30, 2009. Frances was born In Detroit on Feb. 15, 1936 the daughter of Henry and Christine (Alexander) Clark. She is survived by her son Thomas O. Waller III of Flint; 4 grandchildren, Tommy, Benjamin, Alexander, and Samantha; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas O. Waller in 1986, and by brothers and sisters Kenneth Clark, Donald Clark, Peter Clark, Mildred Jones, Henry Clark, and June Wageman. A committal service and burial will be held 2:00 PM Sat. May 9, 2009 at Rose Center Cemetery, Holly.
Emma Moore, age 92 of Holly died Sun. April 26, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sat. May 2, 2009 at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Holly with Pastor W.E. Whitaker officiating. Burial will in Oak Hill Cemetery Holly. A Family Hour will be from 12 Noon - 1 PM Sat. at the church. Mrs. Moore was born on March 1, 1917 to Melvina Burrough and Henry Crawford in Camilla, Georgia. She grew up in Miami, Florida. Emma married Joseph Moore on March 16, 1950. To this union there were 3 children. From the 3 children there came 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Emma departed from her earthly body at 1:56 AM on April 26, 2009 and entered into her eternal resting place with God. She loved the Lord with all of her heart, mind, body and soul. Her greatest joy in her life was her love of God and her love for her family.

Dorothy J. Dishon, age 90, formerly of Holly died Sat. April 11, 2009. A visitation will be from 2-9 P.M. Wed. April 15, 2009 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, KY. Mrs. Dishon was born in Lexington, KY on June 17, 1918 the daughter of J.W. and Ida (Daugherty) Dishon. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and was a teacher in the Holly Schools for many years. William Harold Evans Sr., age 67 of Holly went home to be with the Lord Sun. March 29, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be Tues. and Wed. from 2-5 and 7-9. Mr. Evans was born in Leckie, WV on September 1, 1941 the son of James and Retta Evans. Mr. Evans proudly served our country from 1959-1962. He was an employee of GM AC Delco and owned and operated many businesses in Holly for 40 years. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holly, Holly Jaycees, Holly Lodge #134 F&AM, was a 32nd degree Mason with the Bay City Consistory. Surviving are his wife of 45 years Tootie; children William H. Evans Jr, Robert Glenn Evans, Kristina Ruby; grandchildren Anthony, Erica, Nickolas, Jessica, Julie, Alexander, Cheyenne and William III; and great-grandson Ayden; brothers Foster (Barbara) Tilley of WV, Donald (Charlene) Evans of Davison; sisters Margaret Clark of Delaware, Judith (Gary) Hoyt of TN, Carolyn Sue (Jack) of Tx, and Kathy Lynn (Richard) of Gaylord; sister-in-law Rose Ann Evans many nieces and nephews. James Martin Reedy, age 61 of Waterford went home to be with the Lord Wed. March 18, 2009. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly, MI. Visitation will be from 5-7 before the service. Mr. Reedy was born in Pontiac on July 15, 1947 the son of George and Eleanor Reedy. He was a avid bowler, sports enthusiast and loved the Lord. Surviving are his children and step-children; Brian (Jen) of Clarkston, James (Nancy) of Tampa, FL, Cindy (Ken) Malone, Gail Reinert, Nena (Curt) Holmes and Nick Parker; many grandchildren; sisters Barb (Bob) Diggs and Bonnie (Dan) Richards. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly and his parents.
Cyril M. Leder, age 82 of Fenton died Wed. March 18, 2009. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Woodside Church, 1509 E. Court St., Flint, MI 4850 with Rev. Deborah Kohler officiating. Military honors and inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Mr. Leder was born in Newark, New Jersey on Oct. 29, 1926 the son of Abraham and Jennie (Albert) Leder. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army. He was an English and Journalism professor at Mott Community College form 1956-1994. He was an avid stamp collector and music lover. He is survived by his wife Ruth; grandson Justin Grady with the US Army; sister Dorothy Bragg of N.J.; and niece Linda Bragg of N.J. He was preceded in death by his son Richard Allen Leder. Pauline J. Watson, age 92 of Holly/Fenton, went home to be with the Lord on Sat. March 14, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tues., March 17, 2009 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Pastor Walter McConkey and Pastor Wilbur Henke officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Sunday and from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday. She was born in 1916, to John and Mina Mason. Although living in Michigan many years, she always considered Buchtel, Ohio her home, where she lived with her grandparents, Joe and Gertrude Mason. She graduated from Buchtel High School in 1935, and then came to Michigan where she became employed at the Holly Spring Factory. She married Charles Alfred Watson in 1937. In January they celebrated 72 years of marriage. Left to cherish her are her husband Charles Watson, son Charles Allen (the late Karen) Watson, daughter Mary Ellen (Michael) Bucher, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mina Mason. She will always be remembered for her sweet spirit, gentleness, strength of character, and beautiful smile.
