Mable A. Taylor
age 88, of Bloomfield Township, died January 31, 2007 at her home. She was born July 1, 1918 to William and Laverne Bowman in Haysi, Virginia.
Mable is survived by her children, Philip, Patricia (O. Ray) Johnson, and Kenneth Taylor; grandchildren, Jordan and Erica; siblings, Zinnia Combs, Elmer Bowman, and Bonnie Kiser. She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip.
Funeral service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd. (Between 14 – 15 Mile Rds.), Saturday, 1pm. Visitation, Friday 3-8pm. Interment at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, Michigan.

Helen G. Gloster
age 95, of Royal Oak, died January 23, 2007 at the Evergreen Nursing Center in Southfield. Mrs. Gloster was born on November 15, 1911 in Chatham, Ontario Canada.
Mrs. Gloster is survived by her daughter, Betsy (Jay) Barasch; sons, Bill (Dianne), John Gloster; six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gloster is preceded in death by her beloved husband, “Bill” Gloster.
Funeral at Church of St. Alan, Coolidge, south of Big Beaver, Troy, Friday 10:30am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 10am. Visitation at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd. Fioravante "GiGi" Pagnucco
age 87, died February 2, 2007, at his home in Troy. Mr. Pagnucco was born January 28, 1920, in Arzene, Italy.
Mr. Pagnucco is survived by his wife Eugenia “Jennie” and children, Lou, Denise (Ron) Lance and Dave (Maureen) Pagnucco. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeff, Rachel, Kevin, D.J., Maria, Julia and Celia, brother, Marcello and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Pagnucco is preceded in death by his siblings, Anselmo, Beniamino, Rino, Anna, Gemma and Rosina.
Funeral from St. Anastasia Church, 4571 John R., Troy, Monday 9:30am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9am.

Dennis Arthur King
age 72, a long time resident of Birmingham, died January 21, 2007, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Mr. King was born January 27, 1934, in Detroit. He grew up in Redford and attended Redford High School. Mr. King attended Michigan State University and graduated with a degree in teaching from Wayne State University. He then went on to teach English in the Detroit Public Schools. Mr. King worked across the United States for Chrysler, as one of the first computer programmers on the first mainframe computers. He computerized Chrysler’s parts division. Along with two partners, Mr. King boldly started up his own contract computer programming company. He worked with Ford, GM, Chrysler, the Michigan State Lottery, Michigan State Police, as well as many others. Mr. King also found time to volunteer at local soup kitchens and homeless shelters. Sitting with others and sympathizing with them, he strongly believed in helping others and following the Golden Rule. Mr. King enjoyed folk music, bluegrass, classic rock, and any other music that felt “real” to him. He was passionate about growing things and was considered by many to be “one heck of a neat guy”. Mr. King believed that the world was a hard place, but that people were basically good. His greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved family and friends and he was very fond of saying “thank you God for another beautiful day”.
Mr. King is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, JoAnn and sons, Kevin (Donna) and David. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Avery and Chloe, sister, Susan Geraldine Shaw and Helen Seward.

Razvan G. Vistean
age 17 of Sterling Heights, died early Sunday morning, January 21, 2007 following an automobile accident. Razvan was born March 31, 1989 in Sibu, Romania and was a junior at Stevenson High School in Sterling Heights. Razvan was an avid Red Wing, Tiger and Piston fan who enjoyed many sports.
Razvan is survived by his parents, Ioan and Elean Vistean, brother, Flaviu and many friends.
Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd. (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Tuesday 3-9pm with a Saracusta at 7pm. Visitation will continue at St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church, 5353 Livernois, Troy, Wednesday 3-9pm with a Saracusta at 7pm.
A Funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church, Thursday 10am followed by intermenty in Utica Cemetery, Shelby Twp.

Gerald J. “Jerry” Coyne
age 73, father, friend, and husband, died November 1, 2006 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac. Mr. Coyne was born on May 13, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. Jerry was a basketball star at Leo High School on the south side of Chicago when Bob Callihan recruited him to play for The University of Detroit. He did not have the financial means to attend college on his own so he took full advantage of this opportunity. Following graduation, he married Catherine Nagle and started his own automotive manufacturers representative business. Finally, to repay the gift of education he received, he founded The Most Holy Trinity Educational Fund at Most Holy Trinity Church and School in Detroit. Jerry and Cathy raised four boys, Jerry Jr., Kevin, Mike and Brian, who provided them with six grandchildren. After Cathy passed away, Jerry married Loretta Nagle and quickly added her seven children and 27 grandchildren into the fold. Jerry was an avid golfer, belonging to the Birmingham Country Club, where he served on the Board of Directors. He was president of both Brother Rice High School and Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Dad’s Club and on the Board of Directors at Manresa Jesuit Retreat House in Bloomfield Hills. Jerry was well known throughout both the automotive manufacturing and sports scene in Detroit. He was involved in the Goodsports and many other charities, but what made him most proud was the Holy Trinity Educational Fund which provides many disadvantaged children a first rate education and a start on life that Mr. Coyne was fortunate to receive himself. Mr. Coyne is survived by his wife, Loretta Nagle Coyne; sons, Jerry Jr. (Sheryl), Kevin, Michael (Phil Mara) and Brian (Mary Colleen) Coyne; grandchildren, Nicholas, Madeline, Aidan, Joe, Sean Ryan, and Keeli Coyne; and his brother, Bud Coyne. Also survived by the 7 Nagle children and 27 Nagle grandchildren. Mr. Coyne is preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Ann Coyne and brother, William (Pat) Coyne. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 32340 Pierce, Beverly Hills, Saturday 11am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 10:30am, followed by rite of committal in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan. Family will receive friends at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Larry R. Gifford
age 62, of Clawson, died October 28, 2006, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Mr. Gifford was born October 17, 1944, in Detroit. Mr. Gifford is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Gorman-Gifford and step-children, Richard (Kim) Gorman, Kyle (Christine) Gorman and Kari (Bill) LaBadie. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alexis and Ashley Gorman, Stone and Cooper Gorman and William and Logan LaBadie and siblings, Jerry Gifford, Patricia McNair, Judy Judd, Pam Koons and Jeannie Veilleux. Leonard S. "Lenny" Frydlewicz
age 58, died at his home in Royal Oak, October 25, 2006. Mr. Frydlewicz was born May 22, 1948, Detroit. Mr. Frydlewicz is survived by his wife of 33 years, Beth, daughters, Karen (Scott) Kubicki and Jill (Todd) Starcevich and granddaughter, Ellie Kubicki. He is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth Frydlewicz and siblings, Debbie (Dennis) Klott, Janice (Frank) Mattis and Marty Frydlewicz. Memorial Mass at Our Lady of LaSalette Church, Coolidge Hwy. at Harvard, Berkley, Friday 11am. Family will receive friends beginning at 10am. Archpriest Constantin Tofan
died October 19, 2006 at the age of 82 in a hospital in Denver, Colorado, after recent ill health. Father Tofan served the Romanian Episcopate for 43 years in many capacities on the parochial and diocesan level, most recently at the Annunciation Parish in Montreal, Quebec, and as Chairman of the Episcopate’s Department of Missions. Father Tofan was born on February 15, 1924 in Galati, Moldavia, Romania. He immigrated to the United States in 1959 and later became an American citizen. He completed his theological studies at St. Andrei Theological Seminary in Galati, Romania (6 Years) and St. Vladimir Seminary, New York, New York (1959/1963) and was ordained at St. Dumitru Church in New York, New York in 1963. In addition, he had training in IBM Programming. In 1959, Constantin Tofan married Suzanne Ruth Wells and before her death in April 2004 was active as a church school director. Fr. Tofan served the parishes of St. Nicholas, Regina, Saskatchewan (1963-1966), St. George, Canton, Ohio (1966-1983) and St. George Cathedral, Southfield, Michigan (1983-1991). While at St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral in Southfield, he was Dean of the Michigan/Eastern Canada Deanery. In 1991, Fr. Tofan was elevated to the rank of Archpriest by His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel (Popp). While in Canton, Ohio, Father Tofan served as President of the Eastern Orthodox Council, Chairman of the Ecumenical Confrontation Committee, and Chaplain to the Police. He also served as National AROY Spiritual Advisor. Fr. Tofan had many talents; he spoke Romanian, English, and Portuguese and enjoyed traveling. Fr. Tofan retired in 1991, but had continued to serve the Episcopate as Chairman of the Department of Missions. Father Tofan is survived by his son, Steven (Dr. Debbie VanPelt) Tofan; daughter, Marlene Tofan and two grandchildren. Fr. Tofan is preceded in death by his wife Suzanne Tofan. Funeral at St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, 18405 W. Nine Mile Road, Southfield, Wednesday 10am. Archpriest Tofan will lay instate at the Cathedral, Monday and Tuesday 5-9pm. Interment will follow at the Romanian Episcopate, St. Mary’s Cemetery in Grass Lake, Michigan.

Robert Boston
age 85 of Bloomfield Hills, died October 22, 2006. He was born on April 2, 1921 in Highland Park. He attended Highland Park High School and graduated from the University of Michigan with an Art Degree. Bob served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Bob was a partner in Art Workshop, Inc. in the New Center area in Detroit for much of his award winning career and also was a freelance illustrator in his later years. He taught for a number of years at the Center for Creative Studies. Bob was the loving husband of Lois; dear father of Mike (Sandy), Linda and Steve (Cathy) Boston; and awesome grandfather of Brian, Jason (Marisa), Brooklyn, Madison and Camden. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2006 at his home at 3939 Charing Cross Road in Bloomfield Hills. Memorial contributions can be made to Michigan Humane Society and Huntington’s Disease Society of America appreciated.

Albert F. Repoz
age 73, a long time resident of Sterling Heights, died suddenly October 9, 2006, at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy. Mr. Repoz was born November 6, 1932, in Detroit and served in the United States Navy. A very hard worker, he retired in 1990, from GM Fisher Body in Warren after 36 years. Mr. Repoz was an active member of UAW Local 160 in Warren. He enjoyed golf, baseball, hockey and fishing but especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Repoz is survived by his wife, Marie, daughter, Judy (Jerry) Nieradka, grandsons, Jason and Joseph Nieradka and great-grandchildren, Bryan, Justin and Casey. He is also survived by his brother, Harry (Suddie) Repoz, sister, Janet Molbert, nieces, nephews, Pershing Dough Boys and the GM Golf Bunch. Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (Between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday 11am. Friends may visit Thursday 3-9pm.
