Sebastian Majer
age 82, of Plymouth, died June 4, 2003. He is survived by his children, Gerhard (Sara) of Canton, and Manfred (Candice) of Troy; and his grandchildren, Leslie (Scott) Wigginton, Johann Majer, L. Cpl. Christopher Majer, Andrew Majer, and Jeffrey Majer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosina. He was retired from Ford Motor Company, Ypsilanti Plant, where his title was Utility over Final Test Inspector. He came to Plymouth in 1956, from Germany. Frederick W. Morton
age 82, of Plymouth, died June 2, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; his children, Ann Brenner of Northville, and Joy (Richard) Donnellon of Northville; and his grandchildren, David, Susan, and Daniel Brenner. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Ruth. Mr. Morton retired from his job as an Instrument Technician from Michigan Consolidated Gas Company after 37 years of service. He came to the Detroit area in 1937 from Nottingham, England. He enjoyed being an active member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Livonia. He served in the United States Army in World War II. He was a handyman who enjoyed his family. He loved to travel and was a nature lover. His hobby was collecting toy trains. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Clark S. Woolsey
age 77, of Canton, died June 4, 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela McMichael; his son, Carl (Susan) Woolsey; his granddaughter, Jessica McMichael; and his sisters, Ella Mae Self, Jean Fleming, and Gladys (Robert) Denoyer. He is preceded in death by his wife, June. He was a resident of Canton for 45 years, and a former resident of Ypsilanti. He was a mechanic at A&L Parts in Ann Arbor, until his retirement in 1989. Prior to that, he had worked with his brother at Bob's Speedometer in Farmington Hills. He was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church and a member of the Knights of Pythias. He was very active in his church. He served in the United States Navy. He loved woodworking and tinkering with cars. Funeral from St. Michael Lutheran Church, Saturday 12noon. age 39, of Ocala, Florida, died May 12, 2003, in Ocala. Lillian May Taggie
age 87, of Plymouth, died July 26, 2003. She was born April 4, 1916, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was a resident of Ann Arbor for over twenty-one years. She was also a former resident of London, Ontario, and Taylor, Michigan. She is survived by her sons, Benjamin (Lucy) Taggie of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and Edward (Sandra) Taggie of Plymouth; her grandchildren, April (David) Taggie Hoffman, Elizabeth Taggie, Ben Taggie, and Nick Taggie; and her great grandchildren, Erin, Jacob, and Julia Hoffman. Raymond Melow
age 91, of Redford, died August 13, 2003. He was born October 8, 1911, in Livonia. He came to the Redford community in 1957, from Livonia. He was the retired manager of Harold Thomas Nursery. He loved to play golf, and was lucky enough to hit three holes-in-one in his lifetime. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Winnie; his son, Dick (Joan) Melow of Livonia; his grandchildren, Bonnie (Jim) Giachino of Canton, Chris (William) Mays of Redford, and Steven Melow of Redford; and his great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Tyler, and Cash. Donald B. Watkins
age 76, of Plymouth, died August 12, 2003. He was born September 30, 1926, in Grosse Pointe. He came to the Plymouth community in 1968, from Franklin, Michigan. He was a retired salesman for Madison Hardware in Detroit. He was a member of the Plymouth Stamp Club. He enjoyed collecting stamps, trains, and model die-cast cars. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne (nee Angus); his children, Donald Charles of Plymouth, Suzette (Jamie) Ivey of Wichita, Kansas, and Wendy Clare Watkins of San Francisco, California; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Don, and Jessica; and his great granddaughter, Natalie. George A. Hanosh
age 73, of Plymouth, died December 6, 2003. He was born December 11, 1929, in Detroit. He was raised in Detroit, and graduated from Cooley High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, and his Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan University. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska. He and Diane were married in 1965, and celebrated 38 years together. He came to the Plymouth community in 1967, from Garden City. He taught many subjects at Garden City High School, where he also coached swimming and tennis. He retired in 1991. After his retirement he taught wood carving classes at the Plymouth Cultural Center. He was a member of the Plymouth Optimist Club. He attended many wood carving clubs. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Plymouth. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, golf, wood carving, and fishing. His greatest pleasures were being with his family and his wood carving. He is survived by his wife, Diane; his children, Barbara (Andrew) Lehmann of Plymouth, and Ted C. (Stephanie) Hanosh of Adrian; his grandchildren, Alexander and Mitchell Hanosh; his step-mother, Lorice Hanosh of Phoenix, AZ; his brothers, John, James, William, and Gerald Hanosh; and his sister, Josephine Abud. She was a homemaker and a former member of the YWCA in Clawson. She loved her home and family.
