Passed away Sunday, January 31, 1999, at Saint Mary's hospital, Saginaw at the age of 78. Frank was born November 11, 1920 in Arkansas. Frank was the son of Frank and Carrie Roblin and was a Vassar resident for many years. On December 7, 1941 he married Leah Enos. She preceded him in death in 1985. He was employed with McKee's Auto Sales and Stacer's Oldsmobile for 30 years as a mechanic. He served in the U.S. Navy Pacific Theater. Frank leaves to cherish his memory and family son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Mary Ann of Vassar; one brother, William Roblin of Arizona; a sister, Laura Yates of West Frankfurt, Illinois. Frank was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Funeral services for Frank will be Wednesday, February 3, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hanlin Chapel for Funerals in Vassar with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Vassar. Pastor John Becker will officiate the services. Passed away Monday morning, February 1, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center-Cooper. Age 80 years. He was born March 7, 1918 in Brant Twp., the son of Arthur and Minnie (Ewing) Kinsey. He married Arlie Whaley on November 22, 1941 in Perry. She survives him. He was a member of Racy Free Methodist Church. Mr. Kinsey enjoyed music. He built and played his own Dulcimers. He started the Chapin Jam sessions 12 years ago. He was a retired farmer and school bus driver. Surviving besides his wife Arlie are three children, Linda and Richard Peck of Chesaning; David Kinsey of Brant; Sharon and Ray Pratt of St. Charles; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Leslie Kinsey and his daughter-in-law, Janice Kinsey. Funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Racy Free Methodist Church. Rev. Richard Wadsworth will officiate with burial in Brant Cemetery. Age 89 years. John was born on October 4, 1909 in Saginaw. He married Katherine M. McPartland on November 20, 1933. They were married for 58 years. She preceded him in death on January 3, 1992. John attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated from the University of Detroit. He entered the family business, John H. Nickodemus and Sons, Inc. upon graduating from college. He retired in 1974 as Vice President. He was a founding member of the Saginaw Fuel Oil Dealers Association, a member of the Michigan Petroleum Association and a recipient of its Pioneer Award. He was a senior member of the Saginaw Country Club, a life member of The Germania Club of Saginaw, a member of the University of Detroit Alumni Association, a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #539 and a life member of the Brothers of Kosciuszko. John was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. Surviving are his six children and their spouses, Katharine N. Tessin, John H. and Rose Marie Nickodemus, and Mary N. Hemmer all of Saginaw; Ann N. David, Miami, Fla.; Thomas O. and Katherine Nickodemus, Casper, Wyo.; Rosemary N. and Michael J. Curtin, Neenah, Wis.; a son-in-law, Rick D. Williams, Wilmington, N.C.; 26 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one niece, Susan Brennan of Saginaw. John was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane N. Williams in 1986; two grandchildren, Amy D. Nickodemus and Thomas E. Tessin Jr.; a son-in-lawm,Thomas E. Tessin Sr. and a brother, William H. Nickodemus.
