Frankenmuth, Michigan, Formally of Flint, Michigan.
Died Wednesday, February 17, 1999, at Hurley Medical Center- Flint. Age 69 years. Complete Obituary will appear in Friday's Edition. Arrangements by Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 525 W. Tuscola.

Pflueger, Velwood II,
Saginaw, Michigan.
Passed away Wednesday, February 17, 1999, at his home following a brief illness. Age 87 years. He was born October 5, 1911 in Saginaw and had been a resident of Shields since 1919. He graduated from Paines School in 1926 and then worked for the Saginaw Tile Company. He served with the U.S. Army from 1941-1945 with Gen. Patton's 3rd Army. He was wounded on April 2, 1945 and was the recipient of the Purple Heart, the Silver Star and the Middle Eastern African Campaign Medal. Following the war, he was employed by Koehler Brothers Steel until 1959, and then worked for the Swan Valley Schools until his retirement on June 30, 1973. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #1566. He was predeceased by four brothers and one sister, Frank Pflueger, George Pflueger, Sandy Pflueger, Bill Pflueger and Jennie Mocney. Surviving are many nieces, nephews and their families. Funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the W.L. Case & Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Barbara VanEssendelft will officiate with military burial in Owen Cemetery under the auspices of the V.F.W. Post #1566. Friends may call at the chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider VNA/Hospice: Partners in Caring.

Wardin, Lorraine J.,
Hemlock, Michigan.
Passed away Wednesday, February 17, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center-Harrison. Age 67 years. The daughter of the late William and Edna (Schoof) Beyersdorf was born June 5, 1931 in Hemlock. She married Martin A. Wardin February 18, 1961. He survives her. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid, a member of the Church Choir and participated in the Quilting Group. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, one son and their spouses, Yvonne and Steve Mrozinski, Lynn and Brad Smith, Kevin and Carol Wardin, all of Hemlock; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rebecca Mrozinski, Jenifer, Stephanie, Anna and Madison Smith, Emily and Harrison Wardin; five sisters and two brothers, Adeline Neuenfeldt, Mildred Pretzer, Doris Schafer, Connie Ellis, Evelyn Pretzer, Elder and Chester Beyersdorf; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Three sisters and one brother, Iola Minto, Nina Rowe, Ruella Suhan and Addison Beyersdorf have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 1999 at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Rev. Richard Mundt and Rev. Edward Pankow will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the W.L. Case & Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd., from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday. They may then call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the St. Peter Lutheran Church Building Fund or the charity of their choice.

Moeller, Arlene C.,
Saginaw Township.
Passed away Tuesday, February 16, 1999, at Saint Mary's hospital.
Age 75 years. Arlene C. Korzecki was born August 26, 1923. She married Austin J. Moeller. He preceded her in death May 2, 1972. Surviving are one son, Scott J. Moeller, Louisiana. Arlene was preceded in death by one son, Jon D. Moeller November 3, 1988. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 1999 at The Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Walter David will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. McCreery, Emma Revella,
Sumner, Michigan.
Age 76, of Sumner, passed away Thursday, February 18, 1999 at Carson City Hospital. She was born June 28, 1922 in Sumner, the daughter of Paul and Madge (Best) Husted. She is survived by her husband Joe, two sons, Melvin (Sue) McCreery of Freeland; and LeRoy (Evelyn) McCreery of Sumner; two daughters, Darlene (Jack) Allen of Sumner; and Marilyn (Richard) Leslie of Coldwater. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22nd at 11:00 a.m. from Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma. Friends may call on the family from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.

Vassar, Michigan.
Passed away Friday, February 19, 1999 at the Caro Community Hospital in Caro, Mich. at the age of 72. Funeral services for Henry will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999 at the Hanlin Chapel for Funerals in Vassar with burial to be in the Tuscola Twp. Cemetery. Pastor Douglas Stockwell will officiate the services. Friends may call at the Hanlin Chapel for Funerals anytime after 1:00 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Socha passed away Thursday evening, February 18, 1999, at Bay Medical Center. Age 88 years. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Carol and Donald Eager, Peter P. II and Kathleen Socha, all of Bay City; Barbara and Douglas Urbaniak, Sterling Heights, Mich.; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Babiarz, Bay City; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; three brothers and two sisters; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter P. Socha and a foster son-nephew, John Babiarz. Mass of Christian Burial will be con-celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 1999 at St. Stanislaus Church, Bay City by Rev. Fr. William J. Rutkowski and Rev. Fr. Ronald Gronowski with burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home, 1200 Garfield Ave., Bay City on Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bay Area Catholic Schools.
