Ruth Alta (Salmer) Dunham, age 77 years, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Boswell Memorial Hospital, Sun City, Arizona following a brief illness. She was born May 25, 1922 in Saginaw, Mich. to the late Frank and Pearl (Robinson) Salmer. She lived in Michigan until 1973 when she moved to Phoenix, Ariz. She is survived by four daughters, Connie (Thomas) Mutton of Surprise, Ariz.; Kathleen (Jack) Rothfuss of Bay City, Mich.; Sandra (Karl) Mercer of Flushing, Mich. and Diane Jahr of Newport, Mich. A son Jerry Dunham predeceased her. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, Sheila Mutton (Michael) Hutchings of Houston, Texas; Michael (Virginia) Mutton of Casa Grande, Ariz.; Russett (Catherine) Rothfuss of Bay City; Matthew (Amanda) Rothfuss of Bay City; Robert (Cheryl) Mercer of Troutman, North Carolina; John Mercer and Denise Mercer (Bobby) Blackwell of Statesville, North Carolina; Jeremy (Stacey) Allen of Carleton, Mich. and Jacob and Justin Jahr of Newport, Mich.; as well as 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Frances Penrod and Norma (Carl) Stockford of Saginaw, Mich. as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Donna Cantrell. A memorial service was held at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Sun City West, Arizona on April 5, 2000. A memorial service will be held in Michigan in July. Contributions may be made to Saginaw Valley State University Foundation - for the Performing Arts.

Passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2000 at Saint Mary's hospital. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Elizabeth (Schwann) and William Reisner was born December 10, 1912 in Saginaw. She married Harold Dinninger, who passed away. Later she married James L. Honey Sr., who also predeceased her. She was employed by General Motors, Malleable Iron Foundry retiring after 28 years of service. She was a member of Washington Ave. Presbyterian Church and was an avid bowler and bingo player. Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Kathryn (Sal) and John Tuzas, Saginaw; Patricia Fobear, Birch Run; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Lisa Tuzas, Timothy and Doreen Tuzas, Matthew and Audrey Tuzas, Janelle (Tuzas) and Jerry Keidel, Brett and Beth Tuzas, Craig Fobear, Karen Fobear, Shelley and Robert Beechler, Lori Frey; 17 great-grandchildren; 11 great- great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A granddaughter, Phyllis (Tuzas) Ott, a son-in-law, William P. Fobear and three sisters and one brother have predeceased her. In accordance with Mrs. Honey's wishes, private funeral services have taken place with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Passed away Monday, April 17, 2000 at Covenant Medical Center- Cooper. Age 84 years. The daughter of the late Susie (Hallet) and George Seder was born March 25, 1916 in Alger, Michigan. She married Bert M. Walton, March 27, 1937, he passed away in 1976. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Richard and Frances Walton, Saginaw; Larry and Sherry Walton, Morningview, Ky., five grandchildren, Dorene Loomis, Dawn Rhoufiry, Diane Meehleder, Carrie List, Todd Walton; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Lappeus, Saginaw; Inez Downing, Grand Blanc; several nieces and nephews. Four brothers have predecease her. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2000 at the W.L. Case & Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Dr. Haldon D. Ferris will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday. Passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 18, 2000. Age 72 years. Clarence Albert Blumke was born March 26, 1928 in Saginaw to Christopher and Verna (Michael) Blumke. He married Mary Ellen Fitzgerald in June, 1949. She predeceased him in May, 1992. He later married Leatrice Lucht in September, 1998. She survives him. Mr. Blumke was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Saginaw. He worked for Consumers Power Co. for almost 40 years. Surviving besides his wife he leaves his children, James (Mary) Blumke and their sons, Christopher and Andrew of Charlotte, N.C.; Kristeen (James) Duncan and children, Matthew, James, Elizabeth and Michael; Laura (Jack) Robbins and children, Julie, Sarah, Melissa and Joshua; his step-children, Dennis (Marsha) Lucht and daughters, Carrie and Stephanie and two great-granddaughters of Sterling Heights, Mich. Sandi (James) Dole and children, Jody of Arizona; Brian (Valerie) of Grand Rapids, Mich.; his sister Sally (Art) Premo and their five children, special brothers-in-law James Fitzgerald and sister-in-law Judy Cordingly (Kim Austin), Cathy (Ken) Sheffield and two sons Eric and Andrew, Jennifer (Mark) Adams. Chuck was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa who was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. The family extends a special thank you to VNA Hospice for their exceptional care and guidance. Passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 18, 2000 at Spectrum Health-East Campus, East Grand Rapids. Age 70 years. The son of John and Catherine (Gala) Platko, he was born July 5, 1929 in Carrollton. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2000 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville, with the Rev. Fr. Fred Brucker, celebrant, and the Rev. Fr. Tom McKinney, con-celebrant, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Charles R.C.I.A. Envelopes are available at the Brown-Teman Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville (616-754-5638). Mr. Platko will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
