Dorothy Mae Isham
Dorothy Mae Isham of Gladwin died on Saturday, November 21, 1998, at her home. She was 72 years of age.
Surviving is her husband Lloyd; one son, Keith Isham of Georgia; her mother, Mildred Brown of Gladwin; and one sister, Betty Nickerson of Gladwin.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 24, 1998 at the Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington. Interment was in Millington Township Cemetery.
Funeral services were in care of Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington.

Sidney Ann Haynes
Sidney Ann Haynes of Vassar died on Tuesday, November 24, 1998, at St. Luke's Hospital in Saginaw. She was one year and two months old.
Surviving is her mother, Jody Haynes of Vassar; grandparents, Verna and Charles Sharrow and Randy Haynes, all of Vassar; great grandparents, Gladys Wilber and Ken Barbant of Vassar, and Charles and Jan Sharrow of Saginaw; great great-grandfather, Fred Wilber, Sr., of Vassar; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 30, 1998 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery in Vassar.
Funeral arrangements were in care of Martin Funeral Home, Clark Chapel, Vassar.

Herbert A. Reinert
Mr. Herbert A. Reinert, a lifelong resident of Millington, died on Thursday, September 23, 1999 at the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center in Saginaw. He was 73 years of age.
Mr. Reinert was born on November 13, 1925 in Arbela Township. He was the son of William and Clara (Daenzer) Reinert. On February 11, 1967 he married Ruth Ann Olvey. Together they celebrated 32 years of marriage. Mr. Reinert was a carpenter and had been employed by Bierlein Construction, retiring in 1987. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, 1952-1954. As a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington Mr. Reinert acted as an usher and was active in the Stewardship Program. He also was a member of the Conrad-Wager-Keene American Legion Post #164. Mr. Reinert worked part-time for the Millington Police Department and the Tuscola County Sheriff's Department.
Surviving is his wife, Ruth; sisters, Florence Keinath and Elsie Diamond; a twin brother, Norbert Reinert; many brothers and sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Clarence, and a sister, Lorna.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 28, 1999 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington with Pastor Tim Bickel officiating. Interment was in Millington Township Cemetery.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Stephen Ministry, or to the general fund.
Funeral arrangements were in care of Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington.

Edwina Ruth (Bauer) Skower Dunn
Edwina Ruth (Bauer) Skower Dunn died of emphysema on Saturday, March 20, 1999 in Yuba City, California. She was 65 years of age.
Mrs. Dunn was born on February 12, 1934 in Sebewaing. She was commonly known as, "Eddie," in her youth, and "Ruth," in later years.
Mrs. Dunn is survived by two sisters, Marion (Bauer) Blossom Lindhorst and Ester "Dolly," (Bauer) Hess; one foster brother, William E. Haines; former husbands, Dr. Robert A. Skower and J. Douglas Dunn, respectively; seven children, 19 grandchildren, one foster grandchild, six great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert E. Skower; and one grandson, Aaron J. Skower.
A private memorial service was held on April 11, 1999.

Olga W. Thurston
Mrs. Olga W. Thurston, of Vassar, died on Saturday, April 17, 1999 at the Bortz Nursing Home in Rose City. She was 92 years of age.
Mrs. Thurston was born on February 24, 1907 in Vassar, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Boatine) Schnell. She was a Vassar resident most of her life until moving to Rose City a few years ago. In November of 1930 she married Charles Thurston. He preceded her in death in 1980. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Vassar.
She leaves to cherish her memories her family; children, Norma and Merritt Schlaack of Hale; grandchildren, Michael and Elizabeth Schlaack of Las Vagas, Nevada, Robert Schlaack and Diane and Larry McClymonds, all of Denver, Colorado, Nancy and Luke Bierlein of Reese, Daniel and Ann Thurston of Fairgrove, Julie and Joe Coffey, and Dennis Thurston, all of Vassar; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ursula Stewart, of Vassar; one sister-in-law, Erna Schnell, of Vassar; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold; and three sisters, Hilda Bragas, Loretta Thurston, and Arline Schnell.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Vassar with Pastor James Naumann officiating. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery in Vassar.
Funeral arrangements were in care of Hanlin Chapel for Funerals, Vassar.

Enid Anna Billings
Enid Anna Billings, of Vassar, died on Thursday, April 8, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. She was 86 years of age.
Surviving are four children; Delores McGill of Vassar, Floyd and Thelma Holley of Vassar, Gary and Judy Threehouse of Unionville, and Fern Owen of Caro; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Pearl Seiden of Florida; and a brother, Waldo and Della Schram of Waterford.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 17, 1999 at the Martin Funeral Home-Clark Chapel in Vassar with Rev. Charles Green officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Funeral arrangements were in care of Martin Funeral Home-Clark Chapel, Vassar.

Ira Raymond Ewald
Mr. Ira Raymond Ewald Sr. of the Otisville and Millington areas died on Sunday, April 11, 1999 at the Hurley Medical center in Flint. He was 82 years of age.
Surviving is his wife Dorothy; five sons, Gary Ewald of California, Jimmy Jay and Ira Ewald Jr., both of Millington, Eugene Ewald of Davison, Bob Ewald of North Carolina; nine daughters, Suzanne (Susie) Jay, and Joanne (Jay) Hitsman, both of Millington, Diane (Jay) Shackford and Carol Frink, both of Howell, Kathy (Ewald) Ferris of Montrose, Dorothy (Ewald) Broadworth of Caro, Holly (Ewald) Petzold of Millington, Cindy (Ewald) Goff of Clio, and Mary (Ewald) Workman of Millington; many grandchildren; and great grand-children; one half-brother Chuck Balyeat of Flint; sisters, Lila Mae Fischer of Gladwin, and Geneva Kamen of Detroit.
Mr. Ewald was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Eugene, Albert; and Myron, three sisters, Ella Dorothy, and Phoebe Jane; and one son, Edward Jay Ewald who had been residing in California.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 14, 1999 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington with Pastor Hilliard Shackford officiating. Interment was in Smith Hill Cemetery in Otisville.
