Myrtle (Marion) Long
Mrs. Myrtle (Marion) Long, of Millington, died on Friday, March 19, 1999 at the Hurley Medical Center in Flint. She was 62 years of age.
Mrs. Long leaves to cherish her memory her husband and family; Mr. David Long, Millington; one daughter, Marlene and Gary Stephens of Flint; three sons, David H. Long of Millington, Dale and Peggy Long of Mt. Morris, and Donald D. Long and fiancee Jennifer Baber of Millington; four grandchildren, Matthew and David Long, Misty Blakley, and Heather Long; great-grandchildren, Kristen Hatfield and Sara Barber; three sisters, Norma Beauchemin of Alpena, Lonnie Meader of Flint, and Christine Green of Millington; two brothers, Richard Mathews and LeRoy Benjamin Mathews, both of Otisville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Long was preceded in death by a sister, Madeline Loomis; and two brothers, Allen and Gene Mathews.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 23, 1999 at the Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington, with Pastor Mike Cottrell officiating. Interment was in Millington Township Cemetery.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Millington Church of God.
Funeral arrangements were in care of Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington.

Florence Knuckles
Florence Knuckles, of the Frankenmuth-Vassar area, and formerly of Piggott, Arkansas, died on March 28, 1999 at her residence in Frankenmuth. She was 85 years of age.
Mrs. Knuckles was born on September 30, 1913 in Pollard, Arkansas, the daughter of Richard and Tenia Mae (Nickols) Brady. She was a life long member of Wanderers' Home Baptist Church. She was married to Raymond Knuckles on July 23, 1932 and to this union two children were born, Francis D. Knuckles of Piggott and M. Nadine (Knuckles) Whitaker of Millington.
They survive her along with a sister, Ethel Wilkes of Piggott, Arkansas; one brother, Manuel Brady of Rector, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Brenda Ward of Cantonment, Florida, Bryan Whitaker of Mayville, Jayson Whitaker of Frankenmuth, Lisa Legue of Millington, and Ray Whitaker of Mayville; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver Brady of Pollard, Arkansas.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 31, 1999 at the Hoggard and Son Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas with David Dodd of Paragould, Arkansas officiating.
Pallbeares were Donald Wilkes, Rick Brady, Bobby Wayne Brady, Lional Dodd, Lindel Small, Harry Small, and Scott Small. Interment was in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas.
Arrangements locally were placed in the care of Hanlin Chapel for Funerals in Vassar in conjunction with Hoggard and Son Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas.

Nancy J. Campbell
Nancy J. Campbell, of Millington, died on Saturday, March 27, 1999 at the Genesys Health Park in Grand Blanc. She was 60 years of age.
Mrs. Campbell leaves to cherish her memories her husband and family; Mr. Ronald (Ron) Campbell of Millington; her children, Laurie and Douglas Jackson, Lisa and Bob Boulis, all of Millington, Tim Campbell of Fort Worth, Texas, and Matthew Campbell of Royal Oak; two grandchildren, Amy Jackson and Ian Boulis; one brother, Cliff and Kathy Hacker of Millington; one sister, Maxine and Ed Bigelow of McKinley; and one brother-in-law, Ray Miller of Hudson, Florida. She also leaves her extended family as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Miller; a brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Barbara Hacker, and her parents.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 31, 1999 at the St. Bernards Catholic Church in Millington with Rev. Fr. Richard Szafranski officiating. Interment was in Pinegrove Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were in care of Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington.

Arlene R. Rock
Mrs. Arlene R. Rock, of Millington, died on Tuesday, March 23, 1999 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. She was 85 years of age.
She leaves to cherish her memory her family: a daughter, Ruth Ann and Duane Houser of Indianapolis, Indiana; a son, Daryl and Linda Rock of Millington; five grandchildren, Dan, Diane, Alan, Tammara, and Rodney; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 26, 1999 at the Millington United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Keef officiating. Interment was in Millington Township Cemetery.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Millington United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
Funeral arrangements were in care of Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington.

VINCENT J. DUBOIS
Vincent J. DuBois of Millington, died Wednesday, July 26, 2000 at the Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was 18 years of age.
Vincent, the son of Keith and Catherine (Hascall) DuBois, was born September 4, 1981 in Jacksonville, Florida.
He had lived in Millington the past two years, moving from New Baltimore.
Vincent was a member of Millington Church of God and attended Millington High School. Vincent was an aspiring guitar star.
Surviving are his parents, Keith and Cathy; brothers, Timothy, Joshua and Dakota, all at home; grandparents, Joseph and Martha Hascall; great-grandmother, Marian Hascall of Vassar; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 29, 2000 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington with Pastor Mike Cottrell officiating. Burial followed at the Pineview Mennonite Cemetery in Vassar.
Memorials may be directed to the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, Pediatric Cancer Department.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington.

JOHN C. HARRISON
John C. Harrison of East Tawas died Tuesday, August 1, 2000 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital. He was 83 years of age.
Mr. Harrison was born August 7, 1916 in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. He married Jenetta Cobb. He owned and operated Johnny's Food Shop grocery store in Vassar for 33 years until his retirement in 1976. They then moved to Tawas Lake in East Tawas.
Mr. Harrison served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Posts in Richville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tawas City and was an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Jenetta; two daughters, Fern (Gale) Wojahn of East Tawas and Sandra (Harry) Birk of Vassar; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Vern) Long, Greg Birk, Jeff (Lori) Wojahn, Rob (Tyra) Birk, Becky (Rich) Storrow and Chris (Beth) Wojahn; eleven great-grandchildren, Sarah, Ben, Shane, Tyler, Abbey, Courtney, Caitlin, Luke, Carley, Kelsey and Sammy; one sister-in-law, Agnes Harrison of Paris, Ontario.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Oswald, Mark, Thelma, David, Leatha and B.C.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 4, 2000 from the Jacques & Kobs Funeral Home in Tawas with intermenty at Greenwood Cemetery, East Tawas. Pastor Arie Van Brenk officiated.
Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Jacques & Kobs Funeral Home, Tawas.

RAYMOND VODDEN
Mr. Raymond Vodden of Vassar, died Sunday, October 8, 2000 at Tendercare Nursing Home in Saginaw. He was 86 years of age.
Mr. Vodden was born January 2, 1914 in Detroit and was the son of Evelyn Vodden. He lived most of his life in Vassar.
On October 10, 1954 he married Esther Goodman. She preceded him in death in September of 1987. Mr. Vodden was a member of the Vassar Nazarene Church for 71 years. With his wife, he owned and operated the "Little Record Shop," a music store in downtown Vassar and also Reichle's Clothing Store. He was also employed as a janitor for various businesses and worked for a short time at Eaton Foundry (Grede's) in Vassar. He loved to talk on his C.B. and his handle was "Sneaky Pete."
Surviving are many cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at the Vassar Nazarene Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Vassar. Reverend Dave Wermuth officiated.
Memorials may be directed to the Vassar Nazarene Church.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Hanlin Chapel for Funerals, Vassar.
