MAXINE (SHERMAN) BABCOCK
Mrs. Maxine (Sherman) Babcock of Vassar, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001. She was 79 years of age.
Mrs. Babcock was born October 3, 1921, the daughter of Nelson and Flossie Sherman. She was a member of the St. Frances X Cabrini Catholic Church.
Surviving are her sons, Harry and wife Brenda Babcock of AuGres, Joseph and wife Verbia Babcock of Vassar; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Babcock.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 25, 2001 at the St. Frances X Cabrini Catholic Church with Father John Ederer officiating. Burial followed at the East Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery in Saginaw.
Arrangements were in the care of Hanlin Chapel for Funerals, Vassar.
MARK E. FACKLER
Mr. Mark E. Fackler of Millington, died Thursday, May 10, 2001 at his residence. He was 74 years of age.
Mr. Fackler was born July 7, 1926 in Beaverton, the son of Homer and Frankie Raymond Fackler. On October 23, 1954 he married Winnie P. (Susie) Lemunyon and together they celebrated 46 years of marriage. Mr. Fackler had resided in Millington since 1954 moving from the Flint area. He had been employed as a heat treat operator for General Motors Turnsted Plant in Flint where he worked for 28 years, retiring in 1982. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII in the South Pacific.
Surviving is his family, wife, Susie; seven children, 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild; a sister; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 14, 2001 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington with burial following at the Millington Township Cemetery. Pastor Michael High officiated.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or American Lung Association.
Arrangements were in the care of Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington.
MABEL F. BALDWIN
Mrs. Mabel F. (Prusi) Baldwin of Millington, died Friday, May 11, 2001 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw. She was 76 years of age.
Mrs. Baldwin was born July 27, 1924 in Metz, Michigan, the daughter of Henry and Lena (Ludwig) Grambau. On November 2, 1946 she married Matt W. Prusi. He preceded her in death in 1961. In April of 1970 she married Erwin Baldwin. He also preceded her in death in April of 1986.
Mrs. Baldwin was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church serving on the Dorcas Society and also volunteered for years with the Bethesda Charity Society. She retired from Weber's IGA after 31 years as a clerk.
Surviving are her four children, son and daughter-in-law, Walfred (Walli) and Diane Prusi of Fairgrove, daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Bob Wager of Millington, Linda and Rick Rock of North Branch, Kathy and Doug Cole of Port Huron; five grandchildren, Ted, Kimberly, Melissa, Courtney and Kelly; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Abbey, Matt, Mike Maylynne; and a very special and dear friend, Olive Muntin.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bill Prusi in June of 1974, as well as three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 14, 2001 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with burial following in Millington Township Cemetery. Pastor James Brunner officiated.
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Country Christian Church of North Branch or Our Savior Lutheran Church of Port Huron.

AMETHYST DAVIDSON
Mrs. Amethyst Davidson of Millington, died Monday, April 30, 2001 at the Genesys Health Park in Grand Blanc. She was 89 years of age.
Mrs. Davidson was born February 13, 1912 in Millington where she had been a life long resident. She was married to Donald Davidson. He preceded her in death in January of 1999.
Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Carlhon (Pat) and Vera Holmes of Florida; sister, Anna Marie Rittenger of Virginia; four nieces; and many close friends and neighbors.
Graveside prayer services were held Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at the Thetford Township Cemetery, near Clio. Pastor Brad Long officiated.
Arrangements were in the care of Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington.
GERALD B. TYRRELL
Mr. Gerald B. Tyrrell of the Vassar and Millington areas, died Saturday, May 12, 2001 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw. He was 63 years of age.
Mr. Tyrrell was born January 2, 1938, the son of Max and Gladys Tyrrell. On December 31, 1976 he married Deborah Strevel. In 1994 he retired from Buick City after 30 years of service with General Motors. He was also a member of UAW Local 599.
Surviving is his family, wife, Deborah (Deb) of Vassar; children, Rick and Tess Tyrrell, stationed with USMC in Okinawa, Japan, Laurie Ann and Chris Thomas of Holly, step-son, Lonie James Hill of Fort Hood, Kileen, Texas; three grandchildren, Levinia and Shereece Tyrrell, John David Thomas; three brothers, Rick Tyrrell of Saginaw, Bruce Tyrrell of Houghton Lake, John Tyrrell of Ishpeming; one sister, Linda Roberts of Houghton Lake; his mother, Mrs. Gladys Tyrrell also of Houghton Lake; as well as nieces, nephews and his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Maxwell B. Tyrrell and a sister, Michelle (Mickey).
Funeral services were held Monday, May 14, 2001 at the Hanlin Chapel for Funerals in Vassar with intermenty following at the Richfield Union Cemetery in Richfield. Pastor Richard Flanders officiated.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Fund.

ANDREW N. PETERS
Mr. Andrew N. Peters of Millington, died Thursday, May 3, 2001 at Bay Medical Center in Bay City. He was 72 years of age.
Mr. Peters was born February 9, 1929 in Flint, the son of Charles and Iva (Flynn) Peters and was raised in the Flint area. He served in the United States Navy for a tour of duty and then served in the United States Army for 21 years. During his service time he served during WWII and also served during the Vietnam Conflict. After his retirement from the service Mr. Peters worked in the postal service, and after the postal service he worked for the Wal-mart Corporation.
Surviving is his family, two children, son and daughter-in-law, Andrew J. and Susan Peters of Mt. Clemens, daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Christopher Savory of Richmond, Virginia; one step-grandson; three sisters, Sylvia, Bertha (Bert) and Alzina; three brothers, Charles, George, Howard; a very special and dear friend, Cleo Hilts; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 7, 2001 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington with burial following at the Deerfield Township Cemetery. Services were conducted by the Chaplin of the Conrad-Wager & Keene American Legion Post of Millington.
Memorial may be directed to the Bay Medical Center Coronary Care Unit.

RALPH E. RANDT
Mr. Ralph E. Randt of Millington, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at the Briarwood Nursing Home. He was 89 years of age.
Mr. Randt was born May 23, 1911 in Rapid Falls, Wisconsin, the son of John and Anna Randt. On November 12, 1932 he married Martina Scheelk. She preceded him in death in October of 1996.
Mr. Randt was employed for 19 years at the A.C. Spark Plug Division of General Motors. He was also a member of U.A.W. Local #651.
Surviving is his family, three daughters and sons-in-law, Pearl and Frank West of Whitmore, Ruby and Harvey Sweet of Scottsdale, Arizona, Ethel and Alvin Dial of Grand Rapids; one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Sharon Randt of Millington; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his sister; a daughter, Ruth; a son, Denver; and a great-grandson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 5, 2001 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington with entombment following at the Flint Memorial Park Mausoleum in Mt. Morris. Pastor Tim Bickel officiated.
