HAROLD “BUDDY” LEE HOLLERS, JR.
Mr. Harold “Buddy” Lee Hollers, Jr. died on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 in Tucson, Arizona. He was 54 years of age. Mr. Hollers was born on September 29, 1948 in Michigan City, Indiana. He graduated in 1966 from Elston High School and served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Pollack. He was also a Viet Nam veteran.
Mr. Hollers is survived by his wife Loretta, one son, Marc, one daughter Alissha, one step-son, Bill, his mother, Earlene Cassidy, in-laws, Bruce and Henrietta Linan, and one brother, Richard T. Hollers (Judy) of La Porte, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold "Bud" Sr., step-father, Robert Cassidy, paternal grandparents, Ralph Hollers and Fern Duncan of Michigan City, Indiana, and Howard and Esma "Ma" Burlison of Vassar.
Graveside funeral services were held on Monday, June 23, 2003 at Southern Arizona Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Funeral arrangements were in care of East Lawn Palms Mortuary, Tucson, Arizona.
CLYDE NOAH COFFEY
Mr. Clyde Noah Coffey of Vassar, died Friday, September 19, 2003 at home. He was 70 years of age.
Mr. Coffey was born August 18, 1933 in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, the son of Fletcher and Stella (Reynolds) Coffey. He married Sybil Foshee on December 27, 1957 in Flint. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Chevrolet Manufacturing in Flint where he worked as a crane operator for 30 years. Mr. Coffey loved baseball. For 34 years he was an umpire and manager for the Vassar Little League and he also played softball in Vassar and many other areas for several years. He loved his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Sybil; eight children, Clyde and wife Kay Coffey, Bruce and wife Kristin Coffey, Alan and wife Tammy Coffey, Donna and husband Carl Hitsman, Lori and husband Bill Warmbier, Gloria Coffey, Joe and wife Julie Coffey, Michael Davidson of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; several grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sister, Ruth and husband Wayne Severt; two brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Coffey, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Coffey; several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Nichol Coffey and many brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 22, 2003 at the Martin Funeral Home, Clark Chapel in Vassar.
Memorials may be directed to the Vassar Little League.
KEITH HOWARD WALKER
Mr. Keith Howard Walker died on Friday, November 19, 2004 at Tendercare of Cass City. He was 61 years of age. Mr. Walker was born on April 29, 1943 in Fostoria to the late Leonard and Theo (Ihrke) Bodeis.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn, five children: Mike (Angie) Walker, Joy (Randy) Perkins, Tim (Holly) Walker, Trent (Kristie) Walker, Teri Walker and fiance Chad Seney; nine grandchildren, Andy, Krista, Josh, Kyle, Haleigh, Jordan, Courtney, Brandon and Gabe; one great-granddaughter, Andrea; one brother, Gary (Carol) Bodeis; four sisters, Marilyn (Richard) Bodeis, Ann (Jim) Spannagel, Beverly (Wayne) Brief and Carol Cryderman.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by a son, Greg Walker.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 22, 2004 at First United Methodist Church of Vassar with Pastor Steven L. Woodford officiating. Cremation took place following the service.
Memorial contributions can be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Heartland Hospice of Cass City.
Funeral services were in care of Penzien Funeral Home.
ISABELLE ILLENE HECHT
Mrs. Isabelle Illene Hecht died on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 after a lengthy illness at Lifecare Center of Winter Haven. She was 85 years of age.
Born on August 26, 1919 in Silverwood, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Cora Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl O. Hecht.
Surviving are her two daughters, Diann (John) Prigg of Oxford, Kay (Marvin) Herrera of Winter Haven; one son, Thomas (Nancy) Hecht of Crystal Falls; one brother, Hugh smith; two sisters, Darlene (June) Terbush and Leora York, both of Mayville' 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hecht was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Morley Smith, and four sisters, Thelma Savage, Marjorie Volz, Nettie Curvin and Donna Baker.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Bender officiating.
PATRICIA ANN (SHALL) WORTH
Patricia Ann (Shall) Worth died Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Covenant Cooper Harrison in Saginaw at the age of 63.
Patricia was born August 28, 1941 in Virden, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Edward Staten and Ida Belle Clark and later adopted by Jessie Miller (Shall).
She married Truman Worth on June 19, 1971 in Vassar. She was a graduate of the Vassar High School Class of 1959.
Pat enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, spending time with her family and her sunflowers. She retired from Caro Reginal Center in 1993.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Truman; six children, Linda Lester of Mayville, David and wife Kathy Withers of Vassar, Ronda Worth of Caro, Jody and husband Eric Vrable of Caro, Scott Worth of Caro and Tracy and husband James Brightman of Vassar; grandchildren, James Truman, Jessica, Justin, Brandon,Davey Courtney, Megan, Alyssa, Brianna, Shaunee, Whitney, Allyah and James Marshall, and Kennedy expected in August; four great grandchildren, Alexis, Shaylee, Morgan, Paige; one brother, Raymond Staten of Vassar.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Betty Carlisle and Shirley Rhom and one brother, Mick Staten.
Funeral Services took place at Miles Martin Funeral Home, Clark Chapel in Vassar on March 29. with Rev. John Becker officiating. Burial was at the Riverside Cemetery.

DOROTHY R. HART, HOUGHTALING BALDWIN
Dorothy R. Hart, Houghtaling Baldwin, age 88 died Friday, November 25, 2005 at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Baldwin was born April 17, 1917 in Vassar, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George and Nellie (Colbath) Hart. She and Leroy E. Houghtaling were united in marriage on January 1, 1937. He preceded her in death September 1, 1959. She and Welcome L. Baldwin were married December 2, 1960. He preceded her in death April 9, 1996.
She was a member of the Blue Star Mothers Association of America and a member of the Tuscola Community Church of Tuscola. Mrs. Hart drove school bus for Vassar Schools.
Surviving are her two daughters, Donna L. Houghtaling Laugavitz of Sandusky, MI and Susan Houghtaling Sigmund of Indialantic, FL.; step-daughter Connie Baldwin Nunn of Harrison; son Alvin John Scott Houghtaling of West Branch; stepson Welcome (Skip) Baldwin, Jr. of Mayville; Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren living in Alaska, Indiana, Michigan, Florida and California.
She was preceded in death by her son William Houghtaling in 1995, brother, Nelson Hart in 1972, two sisters, Lola Rosencrants in 1993 and Viola Anderson in 1996.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at Vassar First Baptist Church with Pastor Douglas Stockwell officiating. Burial will be in Tuscola Cemetery. On Wednesday morning Mrs. Baldwin will be taken to church where friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Marlette Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and at church.
KELLY C. DENIKE
Kelly C. DeNike, age 38, died suddenly on October 31, 2005. Kelly was born February 18, 1967 in Flint the son of Terry V. DeNike and Nancy (Meyerhofer) DeNike. He married Diane Aure on September 22, 2005.
Kelly worked construction and was a volunteer at the Salvation Army in Flint.
Kelly leaves to cherish his memory wife Diane; children Kraig Dale DeNike, and Kiera Ellen DeNike; parents Terry and wife Margaret DeNike and Nancy DeNike and friend Jim Birch; sisters Lisa and Shelly; nephew Trevor; step brother Billy; step sister Jessica; his children’s mother Kalyn Aure and husband Michael; and his best friend Aaron McGinnis.
A memorial service was held on November 5, 2005 at Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be considered to a family fund for his children.
