Elizabeth Sophia Winterlee
September 12, 1919 - January 11, 2001
Age 81, of Mt. Morris, died Thursday, January 11, 2001 at the Willow Brook Manor. Funeral services will take place at 10:00am Saturday, January 13, 2001 from the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Friday from 12-9pm. St. Mary Altar Society will gather at the funeral home on Friday to pray the Rosary at 2pm. Saturday morning Elizabeth will be taken to church to lie in state from 9am until the time of service at 10:00am. Mrs. Winterlee was born September 12, 1919 in Gaylord the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Louis & Sophia (Puczycki) Nawrocki. She and Howard Winterlee were united in marriage on January 4, 1941. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1986. She was a lifelong member of the St Mary Catholic Church of Mt. Morris and the St. Rose Guild of the Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella Circle # 530. Elizabeth loved and lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the most loving, caring and giving mother in the world, she will be greatly and sadly missed. Surviving are her 4 children: Robert Winterlee and Marcy of Ovid; Janet and husband Gary MacWebb of Flushing; Larry and wife Karen Winterlee of Flushing; Barbara and husband Skip Cayer of Mt. Morris; 7 Grandchildren: Lisa and husband Glen Peters; David and wife Christina MacWebb; Michael and wife Annette Winterlee; Melissa and husband Marty Dawes; Janie and husband John Morse; Michele and husband Todd Newcomb; Scott and wife Terri Winterlee; 10 Great-Grandchildren: Ashlyn, Matthew, Adam, Jack, Logan, Mackenzie, Halle, Zachery, Mackenzie L., and Alex; 2 Sisters and 3 Brothers: Leone Kraske of Royal Oak; Ted and wife Peggy Nawrocki of Centerline; Ray and wife Marilyn Nawrocki of Warren; Elaine Kavanagh of Shelby Twp.; Jerry and wife Krystyna Nawrocki of Warner; Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Priscilla Burdo, 2 brothers Ben Nawrocki, Gene Nawrocki, niece Michelle and nephew Mark. The family would like to thank the nurses, aides, and staff of Willowbrook Manor for their extra love and care given to Elizabeth.

William Kentish
May 10, 1916 - February 24, 2001
Formerly of Mt. Morris, Age 84 died in Zephyrhills, Fla. Saturday February 24, 2001. Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thur. March 1, 2001 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, Pastor RichardCook officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-9 p.m. Wednesday . Memorial Contributions may be directed to Hospice William was born May 10, 1916 in Port Edward, Ontario. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Ruby Lillian (Sullivan) Kentish. He married Violet Azelton on August 1, 1936. She preceded him in death in 1990. Prior to his retirement he had been a machine operator with Buick Motor Co. for 36 years. He was a member of Mt. Morris Masonic Lodge #535 F & AM. He is survived by 1 daughter and 2 sons: Shirley and Del Berry of Mt. Morris; William and wife Lisa Kentish of Fenton; David Kentish of Mt. Morris; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; Sister: Laura Bigelow of Genesee, Michigan. Several nieces and nephews.

Pearl Elizabeth Hritz
September 26, 1916 - February 20, 2001
Of Mt. Morris, age 84, died Thursday, February 22, 2001 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 1:00 pm Saturday, February 24, 2001 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Mt. Morris with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 3-9pm Friday and 11 am - 12:30 on Saturday, at which time family and friends will gather for prayers and then proceed to church for Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm. There will be a Rosary at the funeral home 7:45pm Friday. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the American Lung Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and at Church. Pearl was born September 26, 1916 in Clio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Grace (Knowles) Neeley. She and Thomas Hritz were united in marriage June 18, 1946 in Flint. She was a member of Auto City Eagles REAC, American Legion Post # 64 Auxiliary, Pearl had been a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Mt. Morris since 1980 and a member of the St. Mary's Seniors. She retired in 1976 from the Service Center for Visually Impaired. Surviving are, husband, Thomas; son, Jeffrey and wife Patricia Hritz of Jackson; granddaughter, Amy Lynne and husband David Zyski of Woodville, Ohio; 2 sisters, Margaret and husband Wesley Rushton of Mt. Morris, and Mary and husband Wayne Farr of Mt. Morris and Zephyr hills, Fla.; brother, Walter and wife Anne Neeley of Houston, Tx; Several nieces & nephews.

Deena M. Brown
May 14, 1966 - January 19, 2001
Age 34, died Friday January 19, 2001. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a family fund. She was born May 14, 1966 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Janice Brown. Surviving are mother: Janice Brown of Mt. Morris; 2 sons: Jacob and Joshua; daughter: Jaszmin; Sister: Lauri Franklin and her children, Craigand Brittney; Grandfather: Edwin Brunsden and wife Jane. Special thanks to Dawnette. A memorial service and meal will be 1:00 pm Sunday, January 28, 2001 at Angel Gardens Hall, 13173 N. Saginaw Road, Clio, Michigan.

Norma L. Mark
Age 94 of Mt. Morris, died Monday January 29, 2001 at Willowbrook Manor. Funeral Service will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday February 2, 2001 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, Mr. Vernon Lawrence officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-9 Wed., 12-9 Thursday and on Friday from 9:00 am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Willowbrook Manor. Norma was born January 14, 1907 in Vincennes, Indiana., the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Chris and Eva(Presnell) Schultz. She was married to Wathan Hays who predeceased her. She then married Henry Ross who predeceased her. She then married Alexander Mark who also predeceased her. Surviving are: 2 daughters: Mary Ella and husband Keith Walker of Kingsley, Mich.; Marva and husband Gary Aris of Mt. Morris; 2 sons: Robert and wife Alma Hays of Leesburg, Fla.; Donald Hays of Shepherdsville, Ky.; 2 stepsons: Alexander and wife Eleanor Mark of Flint ; Joseph and wife Jean Mark of Flushing; daughter-in-law: Bessie Hays of Roscommon; 22 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Richard, a granddaughter, 3 great grandsons, 2 sisters and 1 brother, 2 daughters -in-law, Joy Hay and Clara Hays.

Lewis Earl Lince
Age 75, of Flint, died Saturday, January 27, 2001 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Rev. Donnie Eagle officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on from Wednesday 9am-9:00 pm. and Thursday from 9:00 am until time of service. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the family fund, envelopes available at the funeral home. He was born May 14, 1925 in Flint the son of Mr. And Mrs. Herbert and Edna (Lewis) Lince. He had worked for Genesee Fire Dept. No. 2 for 45 years and had also worked for General Motors for 58 years and retirement. Member of UAW Local 599. He operated L & M Sharpening. He enjoyed being with his family and working in his garage. Lewis was a loving husband , father, and grandfather. He loved life and laughter, and was always helping out anyway he could. Survivors include: wife Maxine; Daughter: Kathy Ann Palmer of Flint; 2 step-daughters: Kimberly Law of Swartz Creek; Kathy Lee and husband Michael O'Neil of Otisville; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Dorothy Allen of Burton; Edna Roth of Clio 2 brothers: Gordon Lince of Mt. Morris; Lester Lince of Flint. Preceded in death by a step daughter Marjorie

Clarence Eugene Head
Of Grand Blanc age 76 died Wednesday January 24, 2001 at his home. Funeral services will be 10am from Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Tim Nelson, Rev. Fr. Tom Firestone, and Deacon Jim Brown will officiate. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Mr. Head will remain at the Miles Martin Funeral Home where friends may call 4-9pm Satuday, 9-9. He will be taken to church to lie in state from 9am until time of services at 10am . Family friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary 6:30 pm Sunday January 28, 2001. Clarence was born November 18, 1924 Barberton, OH the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Eldred and Laura Catherine (Eisele) Head. He was a Veteran of WWII, serving with the US Army in Europe as a forward observer. He retired in 1982 with Head Construction in Monroe, MI. which he owned and operated for 22 years. He was united in marriage to Margaret Slattery Deitering August 7, 1972 in Auculpuco, Mexico, and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church since 1993 coming from St. Mary, Monroe. Surviving are his wife: Margaret; 17 children: Mary Catherine and husband Tom Mike of Lansing; Michael Lee and wife Heather Head of Johannesburg; Juanita and husband Ron Robertson of Muskegon; George and wife Barbara Head of Newport News, VA; Patricia and husband Scott Osburn of Gaylord; Robert and wife Holly Head of Brighton; Christine and husband Richard Anderson of Windsor, Canada; John and wife Jeannie Deitering of Monroe; Karen and husband Brian Wilson of Newport, TN; Cheryl and husband Don Galster of Newport; David and wife Kathy Deitering of Dundee; Mary and husband Bob Bournival of Swansea, IL; Sue Townsend of Windsor, Canada; James and wife Sarah Deitering of Grand Blanc; Richard and wife Gaylene Deitering of Belleville; Steven and wife Alicia Deitering of Huntington, UT; Karen and husband Roger Bondie of Dundee; 38 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; Cousins: JoAnn and husband Bill Beidler; June Morgan; John Eisele; Edith Kerst; Merideth and husband Carl Robinson. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence E. Head Sr. October 3, 1986 and his mother Laura C. Head September 11, 1990.
