Marion R. Livingston
Age 70 of Flint, went to live with Jesus Friday March 23, 2001 at her residence. Funeral service will be held 10 am Monday March 26, 2001,at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Pastor Joe Cottam officiating, burial at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will be present at Miles Martin Funeral Home to receive friends Saturday 6-9, and Sunday 1-9. Monday morning Mrs. Livingston will be taken to church tolie in state from9-10 the time of service. If desired memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice or Our Savior Altar Guild, envelopes will be available at the church and the funeral home. Marion was born November 15, 1930 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip & Bessie (Zeifer) Maschino. She married Edgar Livingston on March 25, 1951 in Flint, he preceded her in death on March 6, 1995. Marion graduated Flint Central High School in 1949. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, and the Altar Guild. She was a member of TOPS MI 1097 of Clio. Survivors include: son, James E. Livingston, Flint Robert A. and wife Nancy Livingston, Hillsdale, Philip G. and wife Wendy Livingston, Clarksville, TN, daughter, Ruth A. and husband Terence Kirby of Mt. Morris, brother, Andy and wife Margie Maschino, Citrus Springs, FL, sister Margaret and husband Manley Benmark, Citrus Springs, FL, grandchildren: Michelle Burns, Melissa, Havilah, Noah, Hannah, & Moriah Livingston, Andrew and Mary Kirby. 1 great grandson Logan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Lila Livingston, special friends her brown eyed daughter Kathy and Robin Robinson and their family. She was also preceded in death by her brother Jack. A special thank you to McLaren Hospice for the tender care you placed on our mother. May God Bless, as you continue this Ministry of love.

Anna L. Sokola
Formerly of Mt. Morris. Age 84 . Died Thursday March 22, 2001 in Cottonwod, Arizona. Funeral Service will take place 2:00 p.m. Wed. at the Miles Martin Funeral Home with burial in Flint Memorial Park The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m Tuesday and on Wed. from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Anna was born November 26, 1916 in Tittabawasee Twp. Michigan the daughter of Leon and Ethel(Smith) Sanford. She was married to Steve Sokola who preceded her in death She is survived by a son Stephen and wife Lynda Sokola of Clarkdale, Arizona 7 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren 2 sisters and 1 brother Sandy Bridges - Grass Valley Calif. June Wontorsick - Michigan Elroy Sanford - LaPort, Michigan

Anthony J. Vamos
Age 88, of Flint died Tuesday Morning March 20, 2001 at his residence. Funeral Service will take place 11:00 am Friday, March 23, 2001 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Joseph Kim officiating, with burial at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 3-9:00 pm Wednesday, 12-9:00 pm Thursday and at the church Friday from 10:00 am until time of service. Parish and family will gather at the funeral home 7:00 pm Thursday to pray the Rosary. Anthony was born October 2, 1912 in Naduyfalu, Hungary the son of Mr. And Mrs. John and Pearl (Nagy) Vamos. He married Elizabeth Police July 27, 1940. He was a former member of St. Joseph Hungarian Catholic Church and presently a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Prior to his retirement he had been employed at Fisher Body and AC Spark Plug for 35 years. He was also a member of UAW Local #651. Surviving are son: Robert and wife Bonnie Vamos of Mt. Morris; 3 grandchildren: Robert and wife Susan Vamos of Davison; Cathy and husband Steve Perryman of Mt. Morris; Barbara Vamos and fiance' Gino Giacumbo of Mt. Morris; 3 great grandchildren: Stevie and Sara Perryman; Logan Vamos; 1 brother: William and wife Bonnie Vamos of Flint; 2 sister-in-laws: Ann and Helen Vamos of Flint; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife Elizabeth, parents, 2 brothers, Lawrence and Ignatz Vamos; 2 sisters, Julie Mauer and Kati Bodor. Special thanks to McLaren Hospice and Betty Johnson.

Richard Allan Foster
Of Fairgrove, age 56, died Sunday, March 18, 2001 at Covenant Medical Center - Cooper in Saginaw. Richard was born May 11,1944 in Caro, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Grace (Noble) Foster. He and Alana Rogers were united in marriage on August 24, 1968 in Bay City. Richard was a life long farmer on the family farm and an Elder and Trustee of the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church. His hobbies included Truck and Tractor Pulling for over 30 years and working in farm shop with his son. Left to cherish his memory are, wife, Alana, daughter Jennifer and husband Rick Lines of Naples Florida son, Rob and wife Tanya Foster of Fairgrove; 3 grand daughters, Emily and Amanda Lines and Carmen Foster, who will miss thier Loving Papa; sister, Diane and husband Terry McBride of Sanford; aunt, Lucille Noble of Caro; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rich Lawther officiating. Burial at Brookside Cemetery. Family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends 5-9 pm Tuesday and 2-9 pm Wednesday. Thursday moring Mr. Foster will be taken to Church to lie in state where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of services. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or at church.

Dorothy Byrne
Age 85 of Genesee died Sunday March 18, 2001 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be held Thursday March 22, 2001 from the Genesee United Methodist Church. Pastor Mac Green officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Tuesday from 6-9pm and on Wednesday from 11-4 and 6-9pm. On Thursday Dorothy will be taken to lie in state from 12 noon until the time of services at 1:00 pm. Mrs. Byrne was born August 15, 1912 in Silver Creek, N.Y. the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. William and Eva Rebecca (Chard) Schank. She and Martin J. Byrne were united in marriage. Dorothy retired from Sears & Roebuck where she worked in sales. She was a active and longtime member of the Genesee United Methodist Church. She was very involved with the Lioness Club, the friends of the Library and was a former member of the Genesee School Board. Dorothy was a very avid reader. Surviving are her son: Jim Byrne and granddaughter Barbara Byrne. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin J. in 1974.

Elaine Virgina Hendricks
Age 77, died Friday March 16, 2001 at Hurley Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. Elaine - Is with her husband Jim, daughter Diane and God. She died the day after she turned 77. Amos, her grandson Dawn and Beth her other daughters, Hazel her cousin and George, will miss this lovely lady. The only friends she has in the end were the ones who cared for her during her illness. Wayne and wife Onva, Dr. Grover and Staff, Hurley Dialysis Staff and most of all Pat her personal caregiver, who treated my mother as her own, Bill.

Arlene Harriet Wilber
Of Mt. Morris, MI., Age 86 passed away March 16, 2001 after bravely battling cancer. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Monday March 19, 2001 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial at Sunset Hills. Family will be present at the Miles Martin Funeral Home to receive friends Sunday from 9-9:00 pm Family, friends and parish will gather 7pm Sunday to pray the Rosary. Monday morning Mrs. Wilber will be taken to church to lie in state from 10-11:00 am the time of funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice of Goodrich, envelopes are available at the funeral home and the church. She was born in Boston, MA. March 1, 1915, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay A. and Arlie E. Howell. She moved to Flint in 1920. Arlene graduated from St. Michaels in 1931. She worked at Smith Bridgmans from 1931-1937. Arlene and Claude Wilber Jr. were united in marriage July 3, 1937. She belonged to the Legion of Mary & the Josie Frasier Club. Surviving are 7 children: Shirley Harris, Patricia & Gary Miller, Joan & Robert Kalbfleisch, Claudia Sue & John Webster, Jay C. & Henrietta Wilber, Charles & Marie Wilber, Robert & Sharon Wilber, 26 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 5 brothers & 1 sister. Many loving nieces & nephews & several special friends. She was preceded in death by death by her husband Claude M. Wilber Jr, parents & sister Patricia Jean Howell. We wish to thank the doctors & staff at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich for your loving care of our mother. She was very special to all of us.
