Thomas Alfred Tait
Age 50 of Mt. Morris, died Monday April 23, 2001 at his residence. Funeral service will be held 3:30 pm Thursday April 26, 2001 at Miles Martin Funeral Home. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday 6-9 pm,Wednesday 10-1 pm and 5-9 pm. Pastor Tom Craighead officiating. Burial at Flint Memorial Park. Tom was born November 22, 1950 the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Joyce (Cox) Tait. He was a devoted and gifted musician for over 38 years, he played the drums. He was the best father, brother, friend, and husband in the world. Survivors include: wife: Janet; daughter: Yosha and husband Tony Dawson ; grandchildren : Taylor, Cotton and Scrappy; brother: David Tait; parents: John and Joyce Tait; nephews: David, John, and Michael Tait; special uncle: Vic; friends: Randy St. Marie and Bob Curtis; many other musician friends, and many special Christian friends. He will be loved forever and always.
Richard R. "Rick" Germain
Age 43 of Mt. Morris, died Sunday, April 22, 2001 at Hurley Medical Center as the result of injuries from a motorcycle accident. Funeral Service will take place 1:00p.m. Thur. April 26, 2001 at the Miles MartinFuneral Home, Pastor Paul Parsons officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-9 p.m Tue. 12-9 p.m. Wed. and on Thur. from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. The family has suggested that Memorial Donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society He was born August 6, 1957 in Midland, the son of Richard L. and Verla (Swenor)Germain. He married Linda Leposky Nov. 28, 1981. He served in the U.S. Army from 1974-1976. Rick had been employed with Genesee County Mental Health for the past 12 years. He was also an excellent auto mechanic. He was also a very good friend to the many people that knew him. He is survived by Wife: Linda Germain of Mt. Morris; 1daughter and 1 son, Anna I. Germain and Richard L. Germain both at home; Parents: Richard and Verla Germain of Beaverton; 1 Sister and 2 Brothers, Ella and Bruce Lauer of Fenton, Phillip and Heidi Germain of Mt. Morris, Corey and Angie Germain of Flint, Mother-in-law and Father in-law James and Anna Leposky of Bellaire, Mich. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Leslie E. Woolley
Age 80, of Flint died Saturday April 21, 2001 at the Heritage Manor. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday April 24, 2001 from the Miles Martin Funeral Home. Mr. Vernon Lawrence officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Monday from 7-9:00 pm and on Tuesday from 12- Noon until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Leslie was born on September 26, 1920 in Flint the son of Mr. And Mrs. John and Harriet (Steward) Woolley. He and Marjorie Shultz were united in marriage on August 21, 1948 in Toledo, OH. Leslie served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Normandy Invasion and in the Pacific. He was a member of the American Legion. He owned his own heating and air conditioning business and worked for Flint Warm Air Supply for 25 years. Surviving are his wife: Marjorie; 2 children: Barbara and husband Robert Starr; John and wife Julie Vessey; 9 grandchildren: John; Karrie; Kelli; Tracy; Susan; Steven; Robert; Debra; Michael; 9 great grandchildren: Several Nieces and Nephews. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Lewis, William, Alvin, and Stewart; sister Edna and grandson Jimmy Starr.
Mary Ann Thompson
Of Bradenton, Fl., and of Fairgrove. Age 61 died Friday April 20, 2001 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton Fl. She was born June 24, 1939 in Gilford Twp. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton and Dorothy (McAlpine) Murday. She and Gerald W. Thompson were united in marriage February 14, 1971. Surviving are husband: Gerald; Daughter: Carol Thompson of Easton, PA.; sister: Shirley and husband Dale Schutt of Lake City, FL.; niece: Susan and husband Gerald Socier of Ocala, FL.; several cousins. She was preceded in death by parents, her first husband Albert Stank August 2, 1982. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday April 26, 2001 at Fairgrove Presbyterian Church. Pastor Rich Lawther officiating. Burial in Brookside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home Clark Chapel in Faigrove Wednesday 4-9 pm and Thursday from 10- 11am at the First Presbyterian Church. Thelma K. Horton

Thelma was born on August 9, 1914 in Reese Michigan the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Arthur and Sarah (Horton) Rye. She was a homemaker. Survivors include: 2 daughters: Mona Burgess of Burton; Juanita Horton of Flint; 3 sons: Gerald and wife Carol Horton of Harrison; Robert and wife Sandra Horton of Burton; Wayne and wife Jayne Horton of Flint; Son-in-law: Arthur Schofield of Clio; 26 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands: Albert Spencer and Emmond C. Horton; 2 daughters: Bertha Love and Ruth Schofield; 1 great grandson: Aaron Lang; 4 sisters and 6 brothers.
Clyde B. Weatherford
Age 77, of Flint MI. died Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on 12-Noon Friday April 20, 2001 at Miles Martin Funeral Home. With Pastor David Berger officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-9:00pm and on Thursday from 9-9:00pm. Clyde was born September 21, 1923 in Darlington, S.C. the son of Mr and Mrs. Carl D. and Mattie Mae (Rogers) Weatherford. He and Marjory were united in marriage on September 4, 1969. Surviving are his wife, Marjory, 9 children: Maxine and husband raymond Foshee, Clyde Weatherford, Melodie and husband Maurillo Pacino, Cheryll and husband Floyd Stroud, Melissa and husband Mark Doherty, Franklin Geick, Joseph Geick, Adam and wife Melissa Weatherford, Shawna-Mae and husband Tim Gerace, 20 Grandchildren, 10 Great grandchildren, Brothers and Sisters: William and wife Linda Weatherford, Bobby and wife Janice Weatherford, Bossy and wife Eunice Weatherford, Murel and wife Mary Weatherford, Blondel and husband George Gardner, Numerous nieces and nephews. Clyde was preceded in death by hisa parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
James Pershing Clark
Age 82 died on Good Friday at Montrose Nursing Home. James was born on October 3, 1918. He was a graduate of Michigan State University and became one of Buick's original Metallurgists until he retired. During WWII, he served in the Navy. He enjoyed catering and golf. James is survived by his wife Fern, his wonderful sister Merle Dow, a loving, caring, daughter Lori and husband Ronald Fournier of Clio, two sons James E. and wife Paula and Van T. and wife Patty all of Texas, five grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, 3 nieces, several golf courses, and his golf clubs. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or Montrose Nursing Home activities fund.
