Donald Adrian Reed
Of Linden, formerly of Mt. Morris, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, May 19, 2001 from the Miles Martin Funeral Home. Mr. Vernon Lawrence officiating with cremation to follow. Family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Thursday from 7-9 pm and on Friday from 11-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed towards James Adrian Reed. Envelope will be available at the funeral home. Donald was born June 10, 1958 in Sandusky, MI, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Edward and Jeanne Ann (Loranger) Reed. He and Vickie Hamilton were united in marriage on October 20, 1984. Don was an avid golfer, sports fans, and a devoted family man. Surviving are his wife Vickie: son: James Adrian Reed; father: James E. and wife Patricia Reed; brothers: Thomas and wife Kim Reed and Robert and wife Sydney Reed; sister: Debra and husband John Peterson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, and a great niece, Nona Marie Reed. Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Funsch, brother, Randy, and his grandparents, Adrian and Nona Reed and Thomas and Gertrude Loranger.

Louella G. Suffel
Age 81, of Mt. Morris died Tuesday May 15, 2001 at Genesys Hospice Center in Goodrich. Funeral services will take place 11:00 am Friday May 18, 2001 at SS Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio, Rev. Fr. Gerald Ploof will officiate with cremation to follow. The family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris from 12-9:00 pm Thursday and at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Family and Parish will gather at the funeral home 7:30 pm Thursday to pray the Rosary. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Genesys Hospice Center or the Therapeutic Riding Center in Ann Arbor. Louella G. Brochu was born December 22, 1919 in Flint the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo and Annamae Brochu. She married Ray Suffle April 8, 1978. Louella was a member of SS Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Prior to her retirement she had been employed at Fisher Body for 30 years. She is survived by 4 children: Dianne and Bruce Tite of Waterford, MI.; Mary Ann and James Lintz of Fairfield Glade, TN.; David and Ava Suffel of Flint, MI.; Ed and Adrian Suffel of Flint, MI.; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother and 1 sister: Shirley King of Long Island, NY.; and David and Agnes Brochu of Grand Blanc; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, David L. Gage.

James Albert Yoder
Age 75, of Vassar died Thursday May 10, 2001 at his residence. Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday May 23, 2001 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar with Rev. Fr. John A. Ederer officiating. Family will be present at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar to receive friends 6-9:00 pm Monday, 12-8:00 pm Tuesday . Family, friends and parish will gather 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home for a Prayer Service. Wednesday morning family and friends will gather at the funeral home for prayers at 10:35 am and then proceed to church for Mass of the Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the charity of their choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or church. James married Eleanor Krygrowski July 17, 1954 in Flint, she preceded him in death November 22, 1999. surviving are: 6 children: James and wife Marie Yoder of Davison; Raymond and wife Sandra Yoder of Phoenixville, PA; Anna Lenzini of Indianapolis, IN.; Helen and husband Steve Hicks of Kalamazoo; John Yoder of Fort Collins, CO.; Steve Yoder of Ft. Wayne, IN; 7 granddaughters, Theresa, Rachel, Sarah, Lauren, Katie and Jenny Yoder, and Katie Hicks; sister: Della Stiyer of Ogema, MN;Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Teresa and Mary Eleanor.

Jefferson Levi Welsch
Age 82, of Mt. Morris died Sunday May 6, 2001 at Genesys Hospice. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday May 9, 2001 from Miles Martin Funeral Home, burial in Flint Memorial Park.. Family will receive friends 4-9pm Tuesday, Wednesday 9am until time of service. Memorials may be directed to Genesys Hospice in Goodrich, envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jefferson was born April 23, 1918 in Puxico, MO. the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Annie (Davis) Welsch. He and Ruby Rodgers were united in marriage on October 13, 1940. He worked for General Motors as a welder. Surviving 3 children: Mary and husband Ernest Jackson of Flushing;Larry and Charlene Welsch of Flint; John Wayne and Judy Welsch of CA. brother and sisters: Peter and Maryann Welsch of Willis, CA.; Sylva Benson of Orangeville, CA.; Dorothy and Charles Roberts of Puxico, MO.; Louise Ragsdale of Dexter, MO.; 5 grandchildren: Kimberly Reams; April; Jeff Welsch; Rodney Welsch; Teresa Jo; 8 great grandchildren. Special thanks to a special friend Janet and Genesys Hospice in Goodrich.

Robert Lee Tigner
Age 63, of Mt. Morris died Sunday May 6, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Wednesday May 9, 2001 from First United Methodist Church, Pastor Bob Burkey and Pastor Len Lason officiating. Family will receive friends 6-9pm Monday, 9-9pm Tuesday, and at the church on Wednesday 10-11:00 am. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church, envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Robert was born April 25, 1938 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. and Eva (Smedley) Tigner. He and Bonnie Ann Anklam were united in marriage April 19, 1958. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Robert retired from Buick Foundry after 30 years of service. Surviving are wife: Bonnie Ann; 3 children: Yvonne and Rich Bouwkamp of Grand Rapids; Daniel Robert and Janice Tigner of Clio; Mark Walter Tigner of Mt. Morris; 5 grandchildren: Amanda Robert; Jeremy Ross; Nicole Richard; Danielle Lynn; Jessica Lynn; 3 sisters: Juanita Kuhen of FL.; Margaret Fredericks of Burton; Kathy and husband Earl Miller of Burton. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Curtis and Douglas.

Dale C. Blandford
Age 70 of Flushing passed away May 5, 2001 McLaren Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Tuesday May 8, 2001 from Miles Martin Funeral Home Rev. Walter Reynolds officiating with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3:00 pm Tuesday. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be directed to donors favorite charity, envelopes are available at the funeral home.Dale was born on July 4, 1930 in Mt. Morris the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Lenore (Hanover) Blandford. Prior to his retirement he had been employed at AC Rochester for 30 years. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. His sense of humor and fighting spirit were an inspiration to many that knew him. Surviving are 2 daughters: Paula Blandford of Fenton; Jacalyn Blandford of Texas; brother: Raymond and wife Donna Blandford; sisters: Betty Canfield and Connie LaFromboise; also several nieces and nephews. Dale's daughters would like to give special thanks to family and friends who were always willing to lend a hand. There ARE angels on earth.

J. P. "Pete" Wordlaw
Age 77 of Mt. Morris, died Friday May 4, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Monday, May 7, 2001 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Survance officiating, burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends Monday morning from 11 am - 1:30 pm. If desired memorial contributions may be made in his name to McLaren Hospice. Pete was born June 2, 1923 in Boaz, Alabama the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Lamar and Verdie (Fricks) Wordlaw. Pete and Ida Lee Hill were united in marriage April 24, 1941, she preceded him in death September 18, 1985. He was employed at Fisher Body on Coldwater Road until his retirement in 1976. Pete enjoyed gardening. Surviving are: 4 children: Jimmie and husband Fred Knoodle of Harbor Springs, Marilyn (Jacki) Olin and friend Floyd Stocking Sr. of Grand Rapids, Randy and wife Cindy Wordlaw of Clio, Teresa and husband Kevin Robinson of Perry; 8 grandchildren: Shelley and David Knoodle , Timothy and Todd Olin, Tamra Sytsma, Nicholle Wordlaw, Brandon and Taylor Robinson. 8 great grandchildren; brother: Paul and wife Kenyon Wordlaw. nieces and nephews.
