Age 39, of Flint, died August 22, 2001 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday August 27, 2001 at Mt. Morris Christian Faith Church. Rev. Leonard Marks officiating with burial at Flint Memorial Park. She was born May 26, 1962 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. and Alice R. (Bouck) Rowe. She worked as a press operator for a local Dry Cleaners.
Robert R. Wilson
Age 68, of Vassar, Michigan, died Wednesday, August 22, 2001 at his home. Funeral service will take place Monday, August 27, 2001 at the Mt. Morris Chapel (United Brethren in Christ Church), 2232 E. Mt. Morris Rd., with Pastor Roger W. Burk and Pastor George Hudnall officiating. Cremation will follow. Family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris 5-9:00 pm Friday, 2-4:00 pm and 6-9:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Monday morning Mr. Wilson will be taken to church to lie in state where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Mt. Mr. Wilson was born April 10, 1933 in Marion, North Carolina, the son of Mr. and Mrs. LoRanzie and Virginia (Bellow) Wilson. He and Mary Ann Presson were united in marriage May 10, 1957 in Flint. He was a member of the Great Norther Racoon Club in Chesaning and the Lapeer Coon Club. Mr. Wilson was member of the Mt. Morris Chapel (United Brethren in Christ Church). He retired in 1985 from V-8 Engine Plant in Flint after 30 years of service. Surviving are wife, Mary Ann of Vassar; 2 daughters Ruthann and husband Lee Butler of Flint, Daine and husband Chris Knox of Clio; 1 son Donald Wilson of Vassar; 4 granddaughters, Leann and Terah Butler and Kristy and Katy Knox; 1 brother; Frank; 4 sisters Phyllis, Pansy, Cleone and Alica; mother-in-law, Ruby Presson; sister-in-law, Vanetta Clark; 2 brothers-in-law, Johnny and wife Judy Presson and Terry and wife Sue Presson; several nieces and nephews; many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 1 brother.

Age 42 of Mt. Morris died Tuesday August 21, 2001 at his residence. A private Memorial Service will take place. Jeffrey was born December 21, 1958 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. and Lillian (Meyer) McGuire. He is survived by 2 children: Carrie Ann McGuire and Stephen Jeffrey McGuire; Mother: Lillian McGuire; 1 sister and 3 brothers: Diane Simmonds; John McGuire; Jim McGuire; Tim McGuire. Edgar Augustus Cook Sr.
Age 63 of Flint, died Sunday August 19, 2001 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday August 23, 2001 at Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday 6-9:00 pm, Wednesday 9:00 am -9:00 pm , and Thursday 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial at Flint Memorial Park. Edgar was born December 21, 1937 in Piggott, Arkansas the son of Mr. and Mrs. George and Edra (Ellis) Cook. He worked for B.O.C. Division of General Motors with 42 years of service retiring earlier this year. He enjoyed his car, John Wayne and the Ten Commandments Movie. Survivors include: Charyol A. Cook of Flint; Edgar Augustus Cook Jr. of Burton; Fred A. Cook of Burton; Mark E. and wife Helen of Grand Blanc; Damon W. Cook of Flint; 7 Grandchildren; sister: Rebecca and Larry Glaze; brother: Charles and Juanita Cook; niece: Pam; nephew: Jerry; He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lloyd Diamond
Age 80, of Mt. Morris died Saturday August 18, 2001 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 21, 2001 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, Pastor Don Titus officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park with Military Honors under the direction of Neely LaBar American Legion Post #158. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12-9 p.m. and on Tuesday From 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church. Lloyd was born May 8, 1921 in Vassar, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William S. and Anna (Pickleman) Diamond. He and Elsie Groulx were united in marriage January 5, 1946. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed at Fisher Body #1 retiring in 1976 with 30 years of service. His hobbies included bowling, playing cards, and gardening. Surviving are wife: Elsie; 3 sons: James and Maria Diamond of Fenton; Dave Diamond of Flint; Thomas and Victoria Diamond of Mt. Morris; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother: Martin and Anna Diamond of Frankenmuth.
Hugh C. Griffin
Age 74, of Clio, died Thursday August 16, 2001 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday August 19, 2001 at 3:00 pm from First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris, Rev. Melvin Carrico and Rev. Richard Cook officiating. Family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 5-9:00 pm Friday, 10-3:00 pm & 5-9:00 pm Saturday. At 2:00 pm Sunday Mr. Griffin will be taken to lie in state at the church until the time of service at 3pm. Memorials may be directed to the Carriage Town Mission, envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Hugh was born April 22, 1927 in Flint the son of Rev. and Mrs. Leo and Gertrude (Sherman) Griffin. He and Donna Hewett were united in marriage October 7, 1950 in Marlette. He was a members of First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris, American Guild of Organists and Clio Cast and Crew. He retired from Flint City School systems after 35 years. He was a choir director for 45 years in the Flint area. Surviving are wife: Donna; 5 children: Craig and Cindy Griffin of Davison; Chris Griffin of Clio; Melissa and David Glorioso of Dimondale; Todd Griffin of Vandalia, OH.; Brent and Kathy Griffin of Rochester Hills; 16 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; 2 brothers: L. Josh Griffin of Minneapolis, MN.; Larry and Marcia Griffin of Deland, FL.; Special Aunt and Uncle Frank and Lucille Yoder of Burton. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles Milford Keen Sr.
Age 85, of Flint died August 14, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday August 17, 2001 at 1:00pm from Miles Martin Funeral Home, Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call 6-9 Wednesday, 1-8pm Thursday and family will be present Thursday from 4-6pm, and on Friday 11am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Charles was born October 11, 1915 in Perkins, Missouri the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Thomas and Minnie Belle (Jolliff) Keen. He worked for GM over 30 years retiring in 1980. Hazel and Charles spent the last eight wonderful and happy years together in Flint. He was a sportsman and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are wife: Hazel; 9 children: Charles Keen Jr; Leonard and wife Beverly Keen; Marilyn and husband Bruce Conran; Carolyn and husband Harry Feliciano; Pete; Diane; Tom and wife Diane Keen; Milton (Butch) and wife Joanne Keen; Michael Keen. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, special friend Bernice, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Esther and son Jackie.
