Services for Marshall Mahoney, 64, of Dearborn Heights were held May 9 at St. Thomas a'Becket Catholic Church with the Rev. C. Richard Kelly officiating. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Mr. Mahoney was born Aug. 8, 1937 in Detroit and died May 5 in Garden city. He was a design engineer for Ford Motor Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Mahoney; and sister-in-law, Mary Cullen.
Survivors include brothers-in-law, Michael Cullen and John Cullen; and sister-in-law Margaret Cullen.

BRADLEY R. CAPANYOLA
Services for Bradley Capanyla, 51, of Plymouth were held May 7 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with the Rev. Steven Wertanen officiating. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Mr. Capanyla was born March 3, 1951 in Springville, N.Y. and died May 3 in Plymouth. He lived in Plymouth for the past eight years. He had previously lived in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Texas and Maryland. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in finance. He worked for Ford Motor Credit Co. for 28 years. He was a regional manager for the Mid-Atlantic region in Chantily, Va. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church for the past eight years. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, photography and entertaining. He was a member of the Walnut Creek Country Club in South Lyon.
Mr. Capanyola was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Capanyola.
Survivors include wife, Dona E. Capanyola of Plymouth; daughter, Diana K. Capanyola of Plymouth; brother, Bryan (Karen) Capanyola of Novi; and brother, Michael (Michele) Capanyola of Seattle, Wash.

ANNE J. JURY
Services for Anne Jury, 73, of Plymouth were held May 6 at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church with the Rev. Michael Matsko officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit.
Mrs. Jury was born Sept. 14, 1928 in Dearborn and died May 1 in Plymouth. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Pinkney.
Survivors include husband, Daniel Jury of Plymouth; son, Daniel W. Jury of Canton; son, Robert P. (Laura) Jury of Rochester; son, Gregory (Fara) Jury of Rochester; brother, Harry (Tina) Chernus of Lathrup Village; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Steven, Charlie and Elena.

WILLIAM H. SHEARER, JR.
Services for William Shearer, Jr., 73, of Plymouth were held May 8 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with the Rev. Doc Ortman officiating.
Mr. Shearer was born April 6, 1929 in Detroit and died May 4 in Superior Township. He was a system and planning manager at Ford Motor Co. He retired in 1993 after 37 years of service. He came to the Plymouth community in 1971 from Westland. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Plymouth. He was a First Lieutenant in the Army and served in the Korean Conflict, earning the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1956. He was a member of Plymouth Kiwanis Evening Club. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul (Dolly) Shearer.
Survivors include wife, Barbara Ann of Plymouth; sons, William (Maxine) Shearer of San Diego, and Timothy Shearer of Plymouth; daughters, Julie Ann Shearer of Houston, Texas and Martha (Bradley) Waite of Plymouth; grandchildren, Jeniece Waite, Gina Mae Waite, Jacqulyn "Babe" Waite; brothers, Peter (Kitty) Shearer of Laingsburg, Mi and Timothy (Jan) Shearer of Sanford, N.C.; and sister, Anne Shearer of Sanford, N.C.

PAULA E. STOFER
Services for Paula Stofer, 56, of Southfield were held May 9 at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Farmington with burial at Southfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Stofer was born Oct. 1, 1945 in Detroit and died May 4 in Southfield. She was a resident of Southfield all her life. She was a professor of history/english at Lawrence Tech. University for more than 20 years. She was a graduate of Lawrence Tech and Oakland Universitys and received her Anthropology Doctorate at Michigan State University. She was on the Board of Trustees at Michigan Historical Society, District VII coordinator of Michigan History Day Program, LTU Alumni Association, numerous historical societies around the state, Civil War re-enactor. She enjoyed woodworking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Stofer.
Survivors include son, Jason (Victoria) of Southfield; daughter, Sara of Farmington; daughters of her heart, Meg Harkonen and Beth Kahn; nieces and nephews, Paul, Heather, Charity, Corrie, Jessie, Hillary, Shane, Kimberly, Katie, Emma, Natalie; mother, Helen Tennies of Charlevoix; brother, Dave Tennies of Canton; and sister, Mindy Albright of Farmington Hills.

Private services for Linda McNutt, 61, of Plymouth were held. She was born April 5, 1941 in Plymouth and died May 2 in Plymouth. She was a secretary at the General Motors Willow Run Plant in Ypsilanti. She was a life-long Plymouth resident. She enjoyed making rugs and doing crafts.
Survivors include brother, Bruce (Janet) Williams of Stanwood; niece, Maria (Craig) Powers of Milford; nephew, Michael (Cindy) Williams of Westland; niece, Renee (Ed) Rock of Toledo; and 10 grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Services for Helen Kokoszka, 83, of Plymouth were held May 4 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with the Rev. John Sullivan officiating.
Mrs. Kokoszka was born June 6, 1918 in Simpson, Pa. and died May 1 in Ann Arbor. She was a homemaker. She came to the Plymouth community in 1992 from Canton. Before living in Canton, she lived in Berkley. she was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Plymouth. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and playing golf. Everyone enjoyed her wonderful cooking and baking. She loved to take care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
Survivors include husband of 62 years, Joseph Kokoszka; sons, Joseph (Marilyn) Kokoszka of Plymouth, John (Susan) Kokoszka of Atlanta, and Robert (Joanne) Kokoszka of Plymouth; daughter, Susan (Charles) Lungerhausen of San Diego; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Ambrose Baidas of Northville and Eugene Baidas of Carbondale, Pa.

Mrs. Vanderburg was born Feb. 23, 1920 in Detroit and died May 6 in Superior Township. She was a homemaker.

AVIS KATHERINE TRUAX
Services for Avis Truax, 70, of Plymouth, will be held May 10 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Sanford Burr officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mrs. Truax was born Sept. 10, 1931 in Dearborn and died May 6 in Plymouth. She was a secretary and office manager at Morrison, Stanwood, and Pollock in Plymouth, retiring in 1993. Previously she worked at Adistra as a secretary to the Vice President. She was a life-long Plymouth resident. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Plymouth, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, and being with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Truax.
Survivors include sons, Brad Truax of Plymouth, and Brian (Vicki) Truax of Plymouth; daughters, Claudia (Larry) Krueger of Unionville, and Blenda (Dale) Chmielewski of Warren; grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, Matthew, Charles Andrew, Daniel, Clinton, and Jon Paul; step-grandchildren, Jackie and Didi; brother, Donald (Jean) Zander of Albion; sisters, Carol (Joe) Turner of Tenn., and Mary (Mike) Parker of Mio.
