Alphonse Gene Scibor, Jr.
Services for Alphonse Scibor, 57, of Canton, were held Oct. 4 at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home with the Rev. George Charnley officiating. Burial was at United Memorial Gardens in Plymouth.
Mr. Scibor was born Jan. 20, 1945 in Detroit and died Oct. 2 in Canton. He was a mechanical engineer.
Survivors include wife, Cynthia; brother-in-law, Michael Materna; nephew, Jordan Materna; and mother-in-law, Lenore Materna.
Arrangements made by Neely-Turowski Funeral Home.

George H. Stroyan
Services for George Stroyan, 87, of Plymouth were held Oct. 5 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Peter M. Berg officiating. Burial was at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia.
Mr. Stroyan was born March 13, 1915 in Louistown, Pa. and died Oct. 3 in Livonia. He retired from the Burrough's Corporation in Plymouth. He came to the Plymouth community in 1951 from Detroit. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was a wonderful family man.
Mr. Stroyan was preceded in death by sons, John and Doug.
Survivors include wife, Jean Stroyan of Plymouth; children, Pat (Norm) Kraetz of Santa Anna Colo.
Memorial contributions may be given to the church.

Frances Marie Travis
Mrs. Frances Travis, 88, of Traverse City (formerly of Plymouth) died September 14, 2002 in Traverse City. Mrs. Travis was born Feb. 11, 1914 in Selma Colo., Ellen Tracey of Bellaire, Mich., and Mary Parker of Pasadena, Calif; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Marion L. Authier
Services for Marion Authier, 77, of Canton were held Sept. 28 at Vermeulen Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Howard officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mrs. Authier was born Sept. 21, 1925 in Springfield, Ill., and died Sept. 25 in Westland. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include husband, Lamar J. Authier of Canton; daughters, Barbara (Jim) Dyer of Columbia, Mo., and Linda (Dave) Grimes of South Lyon; brothers, Richard (Rita) Botwinis of Sterling Heights and Anton Botwinis; grandson, Eric Grimes of Ann Arbor; and granddaughter, Kristin (Jeff) Highbarger of Orlando, Fla.

James E. Taylor
Services for James Taylor, 90, of Canton were held Sept. 30 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Yarnell and Rev. Drex Morton officiating. Burial was at United Memorial Gardens in Superior Township.
Mr. Taylor was born Jan. 9, 1912 in Akron, Florida; step-son, Gordon (Patricia) Eddy of Plymouth; grandchildren, Michael Eddy of Farmington, Nancy Eddy of Houston, Colo., and Lola (David) Youngman of Raleigh, N.C.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Lutheran Church in Canton Township, Ohio; granddaughters, Jennifer Anne Wasalaski, Brie Danielle Wall, Kristen Ann Wasalaski, Carrie Elizabeth Wasalaski and Kelly Joann Wasalaski; and grandsons, Jay Marshall Wasalaski, Shea Michael Wall and John Franklin Wasalaski II.

Kenneth Dixon
Kenneth Dixon, 73, of Canton Township died Sept. 28 in Canton. He was born March 13, 1929 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He loved the N.Y. where he was born and raised. He was a loving father, brother and friend.
Survivors include sons, Neil Dixon (fiancee, Stacey) of Plymouth and Bryan Dixon of Canton; daughter, Carolyn Dixon of Canton; and brother, Buddy (Ronnie) Dixon of Elmont, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, William Black Medical Research Building, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, 650 W. 168th St., Iowa; mother and step-father, Charlotte Millington (Calvin) Perry of Plymouth; in-laws, Oscar (Ann) Lopez of Tenn.; and many friends and relatives.

Margaret R. Hanson
Services for Margaret Hanson, 91, of Canton were held Sept. 24 at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church with William Scheffler officiating. Burial was at Cherry Hill Cemetery in Canton.
Mrs. Hanson, was born Jan. 21, 1911 in Highland Park and died Sept. 21 in Canton. She was a teacher of home economics in the Plymouth community at West Middle School. She came to Plymouth from Ypsilanti (Cherry Hill) in 1951. She was a member of Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills. She graduated from Eastern Michigan and National Education Associations. She loved working with young people and shared her cooking and sewing expertise with them unselfishly. She was highly thought of by her fellow teachers and administrators and was a valued mentor to more than one new teacher. She was generous with her ideas, had many friends, and a genuine love for her family, grandchildren, co-workers, and everyone.
Survivors include husband of 57 years, Fred O. Hanson of Canton; son, Leon (Sandy) Hanson of Plymouth; daughters, Liisaok (Erik) Salonen of Windsor, Ont., Madeline (Eerook) Salonen of Windsor, Ont., and Nancy Hanson of Royal Oak; grandchildren, Christie Banners, Karl and Tom Hanson, Erika McArthur, Stuart, Elizabeth, Ingalis, Stefan, and Francine Salonen; sisters, Elizabeth Demel of Plymouth, Madeline (Ronald) Patrick of Mancelona, and Eleanor Johnson of Milan; and brother, Paul Lobbestael of Gladwin.
Memorial contributions may be made to Old Apostolic Lutheran Church or to the American Heart Association.
