Charles J. Simkins
Services for Charles "Chuck" Simkins of Livonia were Sept. 6 in St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Dearborn Heights.
Mr. Simkins was retired from Pipefitter's Local 636.
He served in World War II in the Air Force. He served two terms as the Worshipful Master of Brightmore Lodge 540, and four terms as the Worthy Patron of the Order of Eastern Star, Kindness Chapter 523. He was Vice President of the Order of Eastern Star, Wayne County Association.
Mr. Simkins enjoyed activities with his children. He was a MicMac baseball coach, Cub Scout leader and a Choir Chaperone. He was an avid runner and won many medals in competitions.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Hazel; children, Kathleen (Ray) Neill, Charles "Nick" (Sharon) Simkins, Marsha (Mark) Agababian and Rebecca (Scott) Seslar; siblings, Irene (Bob) Dunsheath, Doris (the late Dick) DeBolt and Robert (Dorothy) Simkins; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial tributes may be made to Rose Cancer Center at William Beaumont Hospital or the ICU/Special Care Unit at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia.

William Edward Somerville
Services for William Somerville, 74, of Redford were Sept. 28 in Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, with burial at Oakland Hills Memorial Cemetery in Novi. Officiating was Ross Reiney.
Mr. Somerville was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Detroit, and died Sept. 24, 2002, in Livonia. He was a tax inspector and a veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly; son, Kevin (Brooke) Somerville; daughter, Sharon (Doug) Keeler; and two grandchildern. There are family members who reside in Livonia.
Helen K. Bradley
Services for Helen Bradley, 90, of Livonia were held recently. Arrangements were made by Harry J. Will Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bradley died Sept. 19, 2002. She was a Livonia resident 49 years.
Surviving are her daughters, Leslie and Barbara Kay.
Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her husband, Lester.
George Allen Shepherd
Services for George Shepherd, 76, of Livonia were Sept. 27 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, with burial at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. Officiating was the Rev. Howard Vogan.
Mr. Shepherd was born Dec. 26, 1925, in Detroit, and died Sept. 23, 2002, in Livonia. He was an engine engineer and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline; son, Randell Shepherd; daughters, Catherine (Karl) King and Susan (Scott) Leininger; and four grandchildren.

James Tome
Services for James Tome, 48, of Livonia were Sept. 28 in Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Farmington, with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit. Officiating was Dr. Ellen Acton.
Mr. Tome was born Oct. 14, 1953, in Detroit, and died Sept. 24, 2002, in Pontiac.
He was a transmission designer for Chrysler Corp. in Auburn Hills. He was a former resident of Plymouth and a graduate of Pershing High School in Detroit. He also attended Oakland University.
Mr. Tome enjoyed playing the guitar and also made them. He loved playing and watching hockey, and was a collector and maker of wine.
Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Cindi; and brothers, Louis (Peggy) Tome of Waterford, Robert Tome of Rochester Hills and Dennis (Patricia) Tome of Macomb.

Russell J. Mayotte
Services for Russell Mayotte, 78, of Livonia were Sept. 27 in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, with burial at Glen Eden Cemetery.
Mr. Mayotte was born Dec. 18, 1923, and died Sept. 24, 2002, in Southfield. He was an accountant for a utility company.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara; son, Michael (Patrice); daughter, Joann; mother, Grace; one brother; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Mayotte was preceded in death by his sons, Ronald and David.

Mary Louise Locascio
Services for Mary Louise Locascio, 70, of Farmington Hills will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Farmington Hills, with the Rev. Frederick J. Klettner officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Mrs. Locascio was born Sept. 13, 1932, in Detroit and died Sept. 26, 2002, at Providence Hospital in Southfield.
She worked for Michigan Milk Producers as a lab technician and was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Salvatore, "Sam;" daughter Jeanette (Richard) Gohl of Canton; sons, Thomas (Deborah) Locascio of Commerce Township and Donald (Linda) Locascio of Livonia; and eight grandchildren.

Jeffery Paul Smith
Services for Jeffery Smith, 35, of Redford were Sept. 28 in St. Valentine Church in Redford Township. Officiating was the Rev. Thomas Belczak.
Mr. Smith was born Aug. 2, 1967, in Detroit, and died Sept. 25, 2002, in Detroit. He lived in this community many years.
Mr. Smith was a drywall installer and a member of St. Valentine Catholic Church.
Surviving are his children, Jason and Jamie; parents, Edgar and Catherine Smith; brothers, John (Tammy) and Eddie; grandmother, Ethel Smith; and niece and nephews, David, Shelby and Josh.

Donald Luther Floyd, Jr.
Services for Donald Floyd, Jr., 40, of Redford Township will be in Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home in Athens, Ohio, with burial at Wyers Cemetery, Ohio.
Mr. Floyd was born May 1, 1962, in Kenton City, Ky., and died Sept. 29, 2002, in Redford Township. He lived in this community many years. He was a foreman in the drywall business.
Surviving are his wife, Jerri Lynn; children, Amy Floyd and Robin Schooler; father,Donald Floyd, Sr.; brother, Rick (Bev) Floyd; sisters, Mary (Randy) Whitehead and Marlena (Bill) Johnson; and grandson, Issac Eugene Schooler.

Isabella B. Abercrombie
Services for Isabella Abercrombie, 69, of Redford Township were Oct. 2 in Charles R. Step Funeral Home, with burial at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak. Officiating was the Rev. Jim Thompson.
Miss Abercrombie was born Sept. 29, 1932, in Detroit, and died Sept. 28, 2002, in Redford Township. She lived in this community many years and was a secretary. She was a member of Community Church of Warren.
Surviving are her brother, William Abercrombie; sister, Mary (Glen) Conell; and six nieces and nephews.
Thomas Henry Millington III
Services for former Redford resident Thomas Millington III, 47, of Wayne were today, Thursday, Oct. 3, in Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in Plymouth, with burial at Glen Eden Memorial Cemetery in Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. John Tapley.
Mr. Millington was born May 18, 1955, in Highland Park, and died Sept. 29, 2002, in Ann Arbor.
He was a self-employed finish carpenter. He came to the Wayne community 1992 from Redford. He loved to fish and hunt, and woodworking was his hobby.
Surviving are his wife of 11 years, Donna; children, Alexus Millington of Wayne and Emily Millington of Wayne; brother, Robert (Mary) Millington of Charlevoix; sister, Kim (Steve) Kleckner of Iowa; mother and step-father, Charlotte Millington Perry and Calvin Perry of Plymouth.
Mr. Millington was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Millington.

Irene B. Edwrds
Services for Irene Edwards, 95, of Livonia were Sept. 30 in Harry J. Will Funeral Home, with burial at Glen Eden Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Edwards died Sept. 27, 2002. She was a longtime member and Sunday School teacher of Temple Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Floyd; daughter, Sandra (Robert) Crandall; two grandsons, Jason and Jeffrey; and many nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of 11 brothers and sisters.

Anna Dunn

Mrs. Dunn was born May 19, 1916, in Minneapolis, Minn., and died Sept. 27, 2002, in Royal Oak. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Brightmoor Christian Church. She was a 1934 graduate of Miller High School in Detroit.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, John; daughters, Joyce Williams of Livonia and Cynthia (Roger) Allen of Northville; brother, Anthony Caruso; sister, Esther McDonnell; three grandchildren, Lonnie Williams, Jodi Veach and Nicole Allen; and four great-grandchildren, Lucas and Liberty Williams, and Parker and Conner Veach.
Mark Allen Kozub
Services for Mark Kozub, 49, of Livonia were today, Oct. 3, in First Presbyterian Church. Officiating was the Rev. Sue Melrose.
Mr. Kozub was born Feb. 25, 1953, in Detroit, and died Sept. 29, 2002. He was an accountant.
Surviving are his wife, Karen; daughters, Keriann and Rachel; step-father, Florian Rusin; brothers, Paul Kozub, Robert Kozub, Ronald Kozub and Timothy (Patricia) Kozub; and sister, Marie (Thomas) Garavaglia.
