Stella Dazbaz
Services for Stella Dazbaz, 78, of Westland will be Friday, Sept. 20, in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church with burial at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights. Officiating will be the Rev. Russ of Most Holy Trinity Church.
Mrs. Dazbaz was born June 7, 1924, in Detroit and died Sept. 16 in Wyandotte. She was a beautician.
Surviving are her husband, Walter; children, Ann Marie (James) Brumm, Victor, Karen (Marty) Wilk and Kathy (Ron) Dombrowski; brother, Chris Chrzanowski; sister, Gertie Bazner; and nine grandchildren, Chris, Matt, Melissa, Marty, Mike, Kristen, Craig, Emily and Sarah.

Ora L. Horne
Services for Ora Horne, 100, of Westland were Sept. 4 in Uht Funeral Home with burial at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. Rocky Barra.
Mrs. Horne was born Oct. 29, 1901, and died Sept. 1 in Livonia. She was a manager.
She is survived by her sister, Georgia Thomason, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, brother, Ervin Sims, and sisters, Hattie Hale and Alline Vanhook.

Floyd E. Vickery
Services for former Westland resident Floyd Vickery, 89, of Plymouth were Sept. 18 in Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with burial at Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth. Officiating was Royce Dickenson.
Mr. Vickery was born June 30, 1913, in Hackleberg, Ala., and died Sept. 14 in Superior Township. He was a retired foreman from General Motors Detroit Diesel Plant.
He came to the Plymouth community in 1988 from Westland. He was a member of The Church of Christ of Plymouth. Mr. Vickery enjoyed fishing, golf and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel; children, Don (Sally) Vickery of Farmington Hills and Rebecca Gross of Brighton; stepson, Donald (Joyce) Duke of Plymouth; siblings, Loraine (Scotty) Scott of Georgia, Hildred Hubbard of Florida, Autie Bowers of Phoinix, Ariz., Travis Vickery of Texas, Crockett Vickery of Alabama and Waco Vickery of Newport, Mich.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Vickery was preceded in death by his first wife, Mollie, and brothers, Deuel Vickery and Fred Vickery.
John E. Heinonen
A memorial service for John Heinonen of Westland was today, Sunday, Sept. 15, at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, Huron Township. Officiating was the Rev. Neil Cowling from Kirk of Our Savior Presbyterian Church. Burial and a military service were at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Heinonen died Sept. 11. He was an inspector for Chrysler Corp. He was a World War II Air Corps veteran and a member of the Westland VFW Post 3323.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie; children, John (Rosemary) Heinonen, Nancy (Patricia Kipford) Heinonen, Doug (Sharon Morgan) Heinonen and Gary (Beverly) Heinonen; grandchildren, Heather Andres, Jennifer, John Edward, Chrissy and Aaron Neinonen; and great-grandchildren, Kayla Joshua and Nicholas.
Doris A. Fisher
Services for Doris Fisher, 90, of Westland were Sept. 3 in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Plymouth. Officiating was the Rev. John J. Sullivan.
Miss Fisher was born Nov. 1, 1911, in Cleveland, Ohio, and died Aug. 31 in Westland. She was raised in Superior, Wis., and moved to Plymouth in 1943. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Superior, Wis. Miss Fisher received her degree as a registered medical laboratory technicican from St. Mary Hospital, Superior, Wis., and worked for a physician in Plymouth 20 years.
She attended the Bradbury School of Music in Duluth, Minn., where she received a teaching certificate for piano. She played for morning Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church where she has been a member since 1943.
Surviving are her sisters; Anita Vogel of San Antonio, Fla., and Florence Levandowski of Livonia; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial tributes may be made in the form of Mass offerings or to Four Chaplains Nursing Care Center, Westland.

Marian C. Miller
Marian Miller, 81, of Westland died Sept. 5.
Surviving are her son, Keith Miller, and three grandchildren, Douglas, Lorraine and Darlene.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Miller.
Kathleen Jean Norris
Services for Kathleen Norris, 53, of Westland were Sept. 9 in Uht Funeral Home with burial at Glenwood Cemetery, Wayne. Officiating was LaVerta Massey.
Mrs. Norris was born Jan. 4, 1949, and died Sept. 5 in Westland. She was an administrator.
Surviving are her son, Daniel Monroe; daughters, Annette (Joe) Sanford and Christine (Dan) Monroe Mexico; siblings, Nancy Daniels, Patricia Ashley, Mary Jane Durtka, Dale Stothers, Marjorie Hightower, Maureen Linder, Morris Stothers, June Spriggs and Gail Pobur; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her brother, John Stothers.
Harlan Leonard Reeves
Services for Harlan Reeves, 74, of Westland were Sept. 10 in Uht Funeral Home with burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland. Officiating was the Rev. Gerard Bechard.
Mr. Reeves was born Jan. 9, 1928, and died Sept. 7 in Garden City. He was an installer.
Surviving are his siblings, Florence Gardulski, Betty Kisor, David Reeves, Marvin Reeves, Shirley Buuck, Evelyn Westfall, Gloria O'Quinn and Dennis Reeves; niece, Barbara Sipe; 11 godchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his sisters, Verjean Tecen, Beverley Reeves and Mary Smith.

Helen R. Shuell

Mrs. Shuell was born Dec. 18, 1918, in Detroit and died Sept. 2 in Wayne. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Johnson was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Kouts, Ind., and died Sept. 5 at her home in Westland. She was a homemaker.

Mr. Nolan was born June 30, 1929, in Wales Township, Mich., and died Sept. 4 in Westland. He was an electrician in the automotive industry.

Helen M. Laird

Mrs. Laird was born Sept. 26, 1905, and died Sept. 2 in Westland. She was a homemaker.

Margaret Ingles

Mrs. Ingles was born Feb. 7, 1925, in Detroit and died Aug. 28 in Torrington, Conn. She was a production worker in the automotive industry.
Surviving are her son, Gregory; daughter, Cathy (John) Neller; brother, Ross Gillikin; and four grandchildren, Scott, Kellie, Abbey and Meghan.
Valerie Dziurgot
A funeral Mass for Valerie Dziurgot of Westland will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, in St. Theodore Catholic Church, 8200 Wayne Road, Westland, with burial at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights. Her body will lie in state 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 5, in Ziomek Funeral Home, 8809 Wayne Road at Joy in Livonia. A vigil service will be 6:30 p.m. this evening.
Mrs. Dziurgot died Sept. 1.
Surviving are her sons, Richard (Shirley), Michael and Philip Dziurgot; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dziurgot was preceded in death by her husband, Felix.
