Services for former Westland resident Donald Hill, 62, of Canton Township were June 22 in L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, Westland.
Mr. Hill was born Jan. 25, 1940, in Detroit, and died June 19 in Garden City. He was a truck driver for a food distribution company.
Surviving are his wife, Judith; sons, Michael and Spencer; stepsons, Brian Teneyck, Lee (Ann) Teneyck and Jay Teneyck; and nine grandchildren.
DOROTHEA E. FINFROCK
Services for Dorothea Finfrock, 78, of Westland were June 13 in Vermeulen Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Leonard Partensky.
Mrs. Finfrock was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Westland, and died June 9 in Livonia.
She was an elementary school teacher who formerly worked in the Wayne-Westland school district. She also served on the Westland Commission on Aging, the Westland Historical Commission, the Ladies Auxiliary of Harris-Kehrer VFW Post 3323, and the Friends of the Museum.
Surviving are her son, Dennis Finfrock of Westland; daughter, Valerie (Gary) Wilson of Canton; sisters, Bernadette Carrico of Wixom, Theresa Lally of Westland, Marian Greenfield of Westland and Patricia Loritz of Alpena; and four grandchildren, Melissa, Stevan Finfrock, Kevin and Anna Wilson.
Mrs. Finfrock was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and son Charles.

GEORGE C. OPACHICK
Services for George Opachick, 75, of Westland were June 14 in the Chapel of Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi.
Mr. Opachick was born July 12, 1926, in Mountsville, W.Va., and died June 11 in Wayne.
Surviving are his sons, William (Lorna), Michael and Jeffrey (Sandra); one brother; two sisters; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Dawn, Leia, Loren, Rachel and Shane; and one great-grandchild, Cortney.

PHILLIP W. WHITE
Services for Phillip White, 62, of Westland were June 17 in St. Mary Catholic Church. Officiating was the Rev. Jack H. Baker.
Mr. White was born Jan. 28, 1940, in Cambridge, Mass., and died June 13 in Westland. He was an electrician. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Laurel; sons, Daren (Nancy) White of Canton and Duane (Theresa) White of Canton; daughters, Gina (Lou) Toarmina of Westland and Laurie (Peter) Toarmina of Saline; siblings, Joan (Bob) Luecht, Dale White, Janice Heap, Patricia Broderick, Thomas White and Hal (Ruth) White; and 10 grandchildren.

Services for Agnes Giguere, 78, of Westland were June 18 in Grace Moravian Church, Westland, with burial at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights. Officiating was the Rev. James Roberts.
Mrs. Giguere was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Detroit and died June 16 in Garden City. She was a retired custodian at a high school.
Surviving are her daughters, Nanette (Dennis) Richardson and Ginette Adams; five grandchildren, Jeff (Maria) Richardson, Ron (Stacy) Richardson, Scott (Stacey) Adams, Brian (Emily) Adams and Kevin (Sonya) Adams; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Giguere was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph.

DOROTHY GLADYS REID
Services for Dorothy Reid, 74, of Westland were June 26 in Vermeulen Funeral Home with burial at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. Drex Morton.
Miss Reid was born Feb. 11, 1928, in Nankin Township and died June 22 in Wayne. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her brothers, Golden (Arlene) of Westland and Eugene (Donna) Reid of Florida; sister-in-law, Neomi Reid of Westland; and many nieces and nephews.
Miss Reid was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl Reid and Roy Reid.
RICHARD JOHN MILLER
Services for Richard Miller, 58, of Detroit were June 28 in Fisher Funeral Home, with burial at Parkview Cemetery, Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. Barbara Welbaum from Newburg United Methodist Church.
Mr. Miller was born March 19, 1944, in Detroit and died June 24 at his home in Detroit.
Surviving are his children, Dorothy (Gary) Tieppo of Westland, Linda (Tom) Patterson, Aleise (Mike) Fair and Jeanie (Don) Alt; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Six brothers and sisters, and his companion, Kathy Steffan, also survive.

RUTH L. GRIFFITHS
A memorial service for Ruth Griffiths, 79, of Livonia will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Griffiths was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Detroit and died June 25 in Livonia. She was a switchboard operator for Stahl Manufacturing, retiring in 1988 after 25 years of service. She was a 1940 graduate of Cooley High School. She enjoyed playing bingo.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Clifford; son, Jeffrey Griffiths of Oakland, Calif.; daughters, Pam (David) Lange of Redford and Dianne Fazzio of Westland; brothers, Robert (Phyllis) Guntzviller of Redford and Warren (Gladys) Guntzviller of Mt. Clemens; sister, Thelma (Howard) Brown of New Port Richey, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

MARJORIE N. TSOUKALAS
Services for Marjorie Tsoukalas, 77, of Westland were June 29 in Harry J. Will Funeral Home with burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland. Officiating was the Rev. Robert McDonald.
Mrs. Tsoukalas died June 26.
Surviving are her husband, George; sons, Gerald (Nancy), and Peter (June); daughters, Nancy (Lynn) Randolph and Diana Day; sister, Eileen (Donald) Hoose; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Zajdel was born Aug. 30, 1918, in Detroit and died June 23 in Westland. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her daughter, Sharon (Raymond) Thomas; brothers, Edward Wojna and Donald Wojna; sisters, Mary Ann Burke and Sophie Bazner; five grandchildren, Holly Cox, Todd Holland, Shelly Fetzer, Scott Thomas and Tracy Edson; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Zajdel was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and daughter, Cynthia Holland.

James J. Urso
Services for James Urso, 81, of Canton were held Oct. 11 at the Fairhaven Assemblies of God in Dearborn Heights with the Rev. Leland Flaherty officiating. Burial was at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West.
Mr. Urso was born Jan. 14, 1921 in Clarksburg, W.Va. and died Oct. 8 in Dearborn Heights.
Mr. Urso was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in 1999.
Survivors include children, Deborah.J. (Richard) Bayer, Teresa P. Tithof, and Rebecca S. (Chester) Mazzoni; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother; and five sisters.

Walter Chomiuk
A Memorial Service will be held for Walter Chomiuk, 85, of Canton, at 10:30 a.m.on Oct. 14 at St. John Neumann Church.
Mr. Chomiuk was born March 9, 1917 in Detroit and died Oct. 8 at the Westland Nursing Home. He was a truck driver in the transportation industry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Chomiuk; brothers, Philip Chomiuk and Andrew Chomiuk; and sister, Monica Andress.
Survivors include daughter, Nancy J. (Gerald) Smith; grandchildren, Scott (Cynthia), Gerald, and Jennifer (Richard) Riordan.
