Services for Eve Amy Tomey, 80, of West Bloomfield, were held May 7 at St. Alexander Church in Farmington Hills.
Mrs. Tomey was born Dec. 16, 1921 in Highland Park and died May 3, 2002, at Providence Hospital in Southfield.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Richard) Salomonson; brother, Louie (Norma) Hamway; sisters, Louise Tomey and Helen (Dick) Bellaw; granddaughter, Kristen Salomonson; and special friends, Maxx and Koko. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul.

ANNE E. STEWART
Services for Anne Elizabeth Stewart, 76, of Farmington Hills, were held May 3 at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Kenneth Larson officiating. Burial took place at Oakwood Cemetery in Farmington.
Mrs. Stewart was born July 28, 1925, in Boston, Mass. and died May 1, 2002 in Farmington Hills. She was a homemaker and graduated in 1945 from Katherine O'Dell's Finishing School in Boston.
She is survived by her son, R. Jeff (Sherrie); daughter, Victoria (Steve) Sanderson; and two grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Roy and brother Francis Bowers.

JOHN C. WESTERDALE
Memorial services are pending for John C. Westerdale, 89, of Farmington Hills.
Mr. Westerdale was born March 19, 1913 in Chicago and died Saturday, April 27 in Farmington Hills. He was the founder of General Oil Company, an industrial oil recycling firm based in southeast Michigan and with facilities and offices in Livonia, Redford and Northville.
He is survived by his sons Timothy and Thomas; sister Harriet Johnston; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

MARY M. FITZSIMONS
Services for Mary Margaret Fitzsimons, 72, of Farmington, were held May 3 at St. Gerald Catholic Church in Farmington with the Rev. Gerald McEnhill officiating. Burial took place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Mrs. Fitzsimons was born April 10, 1930 in Ireland and died April 30, 2002 in Farmington. She was a homemaker and an active member of St. Gerald's Church. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her husband John; sons, Michael (Jeanne), John (Ann) and James (Paula); daughters, Brenda (Larry Frerker) Fitzsimons and Mary Fitzsimons; 12 grandchildren; six brothers; and one sister.

Joan Batwinas, 66, of Farmington Hills, died April 30, 2002 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills.
Ms. Batwinas was born Dec. 26, 1935 in Detroit. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Crane was born June 3, 1922 in Peoria, Ill. and died May 2, 2002, at Heartland Health Center in West Bloomfield.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; sons, Michael (Priscilla) and William (Claudia); daughters, Vicki (Allen) Johnson, Linda (Roy) Hult, Deanna Crane and Deborah (Michael) Mead; sister, Phyllis Enright; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

MARGARET A. SLESINSKI
Services for Margaret A. Slesinski, 76, of Franklin, will be held at 5 p.m. today, May 5, at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home in Farmington with visitation beginning at noon until the time of the service.
Mrs. Slesinski died May 3, 2002.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; children, Michael and Joanne Slesinski; and grandsons, Michael, William and Timothy Slesinksi.
LILLIAN B. HARTKOPF
Services for Lillian Beatrice Hartkopf, 86, of Birmingham, were held April 20 at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Larry Austin officiating. Burial took place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, Ill.
Mrs. Hartkopf was born Sept. 10, 1915 in Marion, Ill. and died April 19, 2002 in Birmingham. She worked as assistant manager at the Birmingham Seaholm High School Cafeteria and was a member of the Michigan Education Association. She enjoyed gardening and collectibles.
She is survived by her sons, Virgil (Jacqueline) and James; daughters, Shirley Hartkopf and Patricia (Robert) Henke; sister, Eva Blankenship; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is prececed in death by her husband, Virgil.

LIONEL G. BELANGER
A memorial service for Lionel "Lee" G. Belanger, 92, will be held at noon, Sunday, May 5, at Meadowbrook Country Club.
Mr. Belanger was born Feb. 14, 1910, in Cohoes, N.Y. and died April 16, 2002, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He worked for Behr Manning in Indianapolis, which later became the Norton Company. His contribution to the company included industrial motion picture films, videotapes, training programs, the Flexidisk, Behr-Tex Radial Disk, a slip resistant crankshaft lapping paper and more.
An expert in developing new abrasive methods, he was named Abrasive Man of the Year in 1971. In 1972, he took an early retirement and went to work with his wife and sons at Belanger, Inc. which launched the first all cloth car wash system. In 1984, Mr. Belanger and his wife Vi retired to Daytona Beach, Fla.
He loved to golf in his spare time and was a member of Tam O'Shanter Country Club, where he was president in 1948-49 and later Meadowbrook Country Club where he was president in 1970. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Benevolent Protective order of the Elks. For the last 20 years he was a member of Pelican Bay and Plantation Country Club and Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Daytona Beach, Fla.
He is survived by his sons, Lionel "Bud" (Lynne) and James (Nancy); daughters, Gabrielle Rohde and Michelle (Bob) Wentworth; 19 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Viola, first wife of 20 years, Ellen and son Gerald.

NANCY P. JOHNSON
Services for Nancy P. Johnson, 75, of West Bloomfield, will be held at 12:30 p.m. today, April 28, at North Congregational Church in Farmington Hills.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Detroit and died April 24, 2002 at Beaumont Hospital. She was a homemaker and member of the Farmington Garden Club and North Congregational Church. She enjoyed traveling, gourmet foods, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Robert (Cathy); daughters, Leslie (Thomas), Susan and Cynthia (Michael); and six grandchildren.
