Elton C. Bierschbach
Services for Elton Charles Bierschbach, 81, of Farmington Hills, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23 at Church of St. Alexander in Farmington Hills with the Rev. James Wright officiating. Visitation will be held 2-9 p.m. today, Dec. 22 at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Farmington.
Mr. Bierschbach was born Jan. 31, 1921 in Beal City, and died Dec. 19, 2002 in Farmington Hills. He worked as a crane operator for Detroit Crane and once lifted an airplane out of the Farmington A&P roof. He was a member of the International Engineers #324 and an American Legion volunteer. Mr. Bierschbach was a farmer from April through October and also worked as a ship builder in Saginaw during the winter.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Dale (Gail), David and Dennis; grandchildren, Dale Jr., Cristopher and Connie; and sister, Irene Shafer.

Davey S. Lipke, 52, of Belleville, died Dec. 18, 2002 in Belleville.
Mr. Lipke was born Feb. 8, 1950 in Detroit. He worked as an assembler for the auto industry.

Mr. Michnewicz was born Nov. 27, 1918 in Detroit and died Dec. 19, 2002 at Heartland Health Care Center - Dorvin in Livonia. He owned Renaldy's White China Shop in Troy.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Paula McCammon; nephew, Gerald; and niece, Geraldine. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary.

She is survived by her brother, Gerald Crossmyer; sister, Margaret Thoma; nephew, Rev. Robert Crossmyer CP; and niece, Barbra (Brian) Reis. She is preceded in death by her brother, Elmer; and nephew, Michael.

Kin Ming Chin
Services for Kin Ming Chin, 80, of of Farmington Hills, were held Dec. 20 at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Mark Kieft officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Livonia.
Mr. Chin was born Aug. 28, 1923 in Canton, China and died Dec. 17, 2002 at Providence Hospital in Southfield. He was the owner of the China Gate Restaurant in West Bloomfield and Kin Ming Importing Company in Detroit. Mr. Chin was a World War II Army veteran and member of the Chinese Benevolent Association.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Dixon (Cynthia) and Ben (Judy); daughters, Frieda (Robert) Boudreau and Jenny (Doug) Chin-Spicer; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Zibell was born April 19, 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio and died Dec. 31, 2002 at Botsford Continuing Care Center in Farmington Hills. He worked as a national sales manager for Rolled Alloys in Detroit and was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Royal Oak. He was also a member of the Elks lodges in Clawson and Troy. Mr. Zibell was a master gardener and a former Boy Scout and Scout leader.

Aaron T. Harris, Jr.

Mr. Harris was born Feb. 10, 1947, in South Bend, Ind. He died Dec. 17, 2002, in Garden City. He was a mechanic for the Post Office and a member of Grand River Baptist Church.

Emily M. Adams
Services for Emily Adams, 88, of Dearborn Heights were held Dec. 16 at St. Kenneth Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Mallia officiating. Burial was at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.
Mrs. Adams was born Nov. 2, 1914, in Detroit and died Dec. 13, 2002, in Livonia. She was an owner/ operator of Michael's Bar in Detroit for 50 years. For the last eight years, she worked for Jennie's Pierogi's in Garden City. She loved working at the bar and then later at the Pierogi Shop.
She came to the Dearborn Heights community in 1965 from Detroit. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Detroit and St. Anselm Catholic Church in Dearborn Heights.
She loved gardening flowers and vegetables. In 2001, she won an award certificate for the flowers she planted around her home in Dearborn Heights. She loved to cook for her family and enjoyed family gatherings. Her No. 1 hobby was flowers.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband John, who was retired chief of the Detroit Fire Department arson division.
Survivors include daughter, Ilene (Zenner) Grzegorek of Media, Pa.; son, John (Carolyn) Adams of Plymouth Township; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Michael Seaman
Services for Michael Seaman, 67, of Farmington Hills were Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia with the Rev. Larry Austin officiating.
Mr. Seaman was born June 10, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa, and died Nov. 25, 2002, in Farmington Hills. He was a tool maker and worked for Bradley Thompson Manufacturing. He retired from there in 1997. He formerly owned his own tool shop and boring shop.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Mary Lou; children Michael (Jane) and Kenneth (Lori), both of Garden City; and Cathy (William) Schultz of Pearl Harbor, Fla.; brother Jerry Seaman of Ohio; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Willie E. McFarland
Service for Willie E. McFarland of Garden City were Nov. 30 at Harris Funeral Home in Garden with the Pastor Wayne Parker officiating.
Mr. McFarland was born on April 16, 1918, in Harlan, Ky., and died Nov. 27, 2002, at Arbor Hospice. He was 84.
Mr. Harlan worked from A&P as a checker in the warehouse. A World War II veteran, he also was a Baptist minister and a member of Teamsters Local No. 33.
He is survived by a daughter, Vickie (Michael) Estep; grandchildren D'Ann (Bill) Anguish and Brett; great-grandchildren Dalton and Reece; sister Mary (Reed) Burton; brothers Flint (Betty) Hyatt and Kenny Ray (Joan) Hyatt and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel, and a son, Robert.
