Mr. De Berry was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Detroit, and died Nov. 22, 2002, in Garden City. He lived in Garden City 35 years.
Surviving are his wife, Darlene; son, Mike (Karen) De Berry; daughter, Michelle; mother, Frances De Berry; sister, Bobbie Gonczy; and three grandchildren, Jacob, Travis and Colin.
Mr. De Berry was preceded in death by his father, Furman De Berry.

Mrs. Montes was born July 13, 1922, in Zeigler, Ill., and died Nov. 23. 2002, in Detroit. She was a homemaker and belonged to Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
Survivors include her husband, Manuel; daughter Mary Merrill of Garden City; sons Ricardo of Novi and Andrew (Diane) Montes of Livonia and sister Helen Lucakis of Plymouth Township.

Mrs. Bailey was born Aug. 16, 1948, in Garden City, and died Nov. 8, 2002, in Midlothian, Va. She was a district manager for H & R Block. She was a 1966 graduate of Garden City East High School and attended Detroit College of Business.
Surviving are her husband, Robert; sons, Sean, Eric and Adam; mother, Virginia Lear of Garden City; brothers, Gary, John, Mark and Robert Jr. Lear; and two granddaughters, Laura and Rebecca.
Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lear.

Mr. Wolfrom was born Feb. 14, 1951, and died Nov. 8, 2002. He lived in this community many years. He was self-employed as a salesman.

Mr. Wolfrom was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Anna Wolfrom, and brother, David.

Donald Walter Young

Mr. Young was born May 8, 1918, in Flint, Mich., and died Nov. 12, 2002, in Wayne. He was a mail carrier for 22 years. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Dearborn Heights. He served in the United States Army during World War II 1941-1945, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his children, James (Robin) Young of Lincoln Park, Deborah (Walter) Bumgardner of Garden City and Brenda (Dan) Hertlein of Dearborn; brother, Sidney (Donna) Young of Kalamazoo; sister, Virginia Nichol of Wyoming, Mich.; seven grandchildren, James Edward Young, Jr., Nicholas and Rebekah Young, Sheila Louise Moore, Scott, Rachel and Justin Bumgardner; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Devon Young. Also surviving are sisters-in law, Barbara Beasley and Pauline Jones both of Johnston City and Beryl Pepin of Ocala Fla.; and brothers-in-law, James Finnery, Jr of Carterville and Jack Finney of Herrin.
Mr. Young was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise on May 5, 1997; as well, two brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Quinn was born June 28, 1908, in Canada, and died Oct. 29, 2002, at her home in Westland. She was a homemaker. She lived in the community 16 years and previously resided in Walled Lake.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She also loved quilting and made all her grandchildren a quilt. Mrs. Quinn was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.

Mr. Sanders was born March 11, 1923, in Rover, Tenn., and died Oct. 28, 2002, in Garden City. He was a retired inspector for Hydromatics.
He lived in this community many years. Mr. Sanders loved fishing, gardening, walking and sightseeing. He donated much of his time visiting the elderly at nursing homes.
Surviving are his wife, Chris; children, Joyce (Lee) Nicholson, Norma Cross, Charles (Elizabeth), Ann Weber, Kenny (Peggy) and David; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Evelyn Rita Dolan

Mrs. Dolan was born Feb. 1, 1923, and died Oct. 30, 2002, in University Hospital. She was a bank teller 29 years for National Bank of Detroit.

Allen Wayne Thompson

Peter C. Fuoco
Services for Peter Carmine Fuoco, 60, of Mesa, Ariz., will be Monday, Feb. 3, at the Green Acres Mortuary in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Mr. Fuoco died Jan. 29, 2003, at University Medical Center in Tucson after a brief illness.
Formerly of Westland and Novi, he was the longtime owner of A&F Water Heater and Spa Service in Troy. He retired in 1995.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing with his granddaughters, Samantha and Madeline, and watching sporting events. He was a retired member of the Michigan Multi-Lakes Conservation Association.
An advocate of organ donation, Mr. Fuoco received a heart transplant Dec. 17, 1995, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, after his heart was stricken by a virus. In the seven years, he lived after his transplant, he moved to Arizona and worked tirelessly to mentor other transplant patients.
In 2000 and 2002, he competed in racquetball with partner Leo Levenson, during the U. S. Transplant Games at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Judith, former assistant treasurer for Suburban Communications Corporation, the parent company of the Observer & Eccentric Newspapers; a daughter, Christina of Mesa, Ariz.; a former reporter for the Observer & Eccentric Newspapers; son, Tony (Christina) of Chandler, Ariz.; two granddaughters, Samantha and Madeline Fuoco; and sisters, Marianne Madonna, Kathy Wurn and Sylvia Demers.
He is preceded by his parents Antonia and Cosimo Fuoco; a, sister, Loretta Mounsey; and a brother, Charles.
