Mr. Morrison was born Oct. 16, 1939, in Detroit, and died Oct. 20, 2002, in Superior Township. He was an analyst for Federal Express Supply Chain.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara; son, James; and grandson, Kyle.

Verlee L. Malinchak
Services for former Livonia resident Verlee Malinchak, 87, were Oct. 21 in Harry J. Will Funeral Home, with burial at Glen Eden Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Malinchak died Oct. 20, 2002.
Surviving are her brother, Joseph (Pauline) Pullin; sister, Betty (the late Charles) Tarver; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Malinchak was preceded in death by her husbands, George Sivertsen and Martin Malinchak, and brother, George Pullin.
Evelyn "Peggy" LeBlanc
Services for Evelyn "Peggy" LeBlanc, 83, of Livonia will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at St. Kenneth Catholic Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Joseph Mallia.
Mrs. LeBlanc was born April 18, 1919, in Laurium, Mich., and died Oct. 16, 2002, in Livonia. She worked for Livonia public schools 1958-1981, and was a cook at Frost Junior High School. She came to the Livonia community in 1955 from Detroit. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Livonia and St. Kenneth Catholic Church in Plymouth. Mrs. LeBlanc was a member of Livonia Senior Citizens and St. Edith Church Senior Group.
She loved to play cards, bingo, cook and bake. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband and visiting relatives.
Surviving are her children, Marcia (Joseph) Rosati of Livonia, Debbie (David) Anderson of Plymouth, Beverly Hrbal of Livonia and Paul (Diana) LeBlanc of Livonia; 11 grandchildren, Daine (James) Hickox, Shelly (Greg) Belander, Curt (Diana) Borensik, Jeffery (Lauren) Borenski, Mark Borensik, Christopher Hrbal, Carrie Borenski, Julia Hrbal, Adam Borenski, Bridgette LeBlanc and Keith LeBlanc; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. LeBlanc was preceded in death by her husband, George; seven brothers; two sisters; and grandson, Matt Anderson.

Janice Lectka
A memorial service for Janice Lectka, 67, of Livonia will be 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 in Mt. Hope Congregational Church, 30330 Schoolcraft Road, Livonia. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 20, at the church.
Mrs. Lectka died Oct. 16, 2002. She was a Livonia teacher 30 years.
Surviving are her husband, Charles; son, John (Cindy) Lectka; daughter, Jill Lectka; brothers, Allan, Richard and Larry Siefert; and three grandchildren, Mallory, David and Anna.

Mrs. Ward died Oct. 17, 2002.

Mr. Harris was born in Detroit, and died Oct. 17, 2002, at his home in Livonia. He was an electronic technician in the automotive industry.

LaVern Joseph Bradach

Mr. Bradach was born March 26, 1925, in Detroit, and died Oct. 16, 2002, in Detroit. He was an instructor/pilot for a charter airlines. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Elaine A. Schwarz

Larry Sheehan
A funeral Mass for Larry Sheehan, 70, of Northville will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 18, in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Northville, with burial at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.
Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 17, in Northrop-Sassaman Funeral Home, 19091 Northville Road (at Seven Mile), Northville and 10:30 a.m. until time of service Friday, Oct. 18, in the church. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Sheehan was born May 20, 1932, in Greenfield, Iowa, and died Oct. 14, 2002, in Ann Arbor. He was a former executive vice president with Little Caesar's and vice president of marketing with Domino's Pizza.
He owned and operated O'Sheehan's Restaurants in Northville and two in Florida. He also founded Mother's Pizza in Plymouth. He was a retired Wayne County Jury Commissioner. He was the former owner of Sheehan's Hillside Lincoln Mercury in Pontiac.
Mr. Sheehan was a member of the Monaghan Knights of Columbus and Catholic Central High School Alumni Association.
Surviving are his wife, Joan; children, Timothy Sheehan of Livonia, Thomas (Julie) Sheehan of Northville, Susan (Ken) Meeks of Franklin, Tenn., Pati (Richard) Thornton of Bloomfield Hills, Terrence (Mary) Sheehan of Jacksonville, Fla. and Daniel (Tina) Sheehan of Northville; sisters, Mary Barum of Northville and Joan (Joe) Hutton of Livonia; 12 grandchildren, Errin, Megan, Donovan, Patrick and Kaeleigh Sheehan, Nathaniel and Jonathan Thornton, Sarah (Nathan) Partain, Jesse, Joel, Bethany and Abigail Meeks; and nine nieces.

Helen Lauerman
Helen Lauerman, 79, of Livonia died Oct. 14, 2002, at her residence in Livonia.
She was born Feb. 12, 1923, in Pennsylvania. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, John; children, Linda Harding, Deana Jackson, John (Sharon) Lauerman and Tim (Marlene) Lauerman; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Iris B. Pearce
Services for Iris Pearce, 75, of Livonia were Oct. 11 in Covenant Community Church in Redford Township, with burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland. Officiating was the Rev. H.D. Myers.
Mrs. Pearce was born May 20, 1927, in Mt. Vernon, Texas, and died Oct. 9, 2002, in Livonia. She lived in Livonia since 1953.
Surviving are her husband, Richard; children, Carol (Hugh) Tupper, Vivian (Donald) Glowinski and Ronald (Cathy) Pearce; three sisters, Irene, Edina and Wilma; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Pearce was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Pearce (1987).

Lonnie Brashear, Jr.
Former Livonia resident Lonnie Brashear, Jr., 54, of Tucson, Ariz. died Oct. 11, 2002.
Mr. Brashear was a graduate of Bentley High School.
Surviving are his children, Nicole Brashear of Tucson, Ariz. and Jason Brashear of Plymouth.
Mr. Brashear was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie Brashear (a long-time Livonia school board member) and Rosalie Brashear, both of Livonia.
April Ann Taddonio
A funeral Mass for April Taddonio, 47, of Pinckney was Oct. 16 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter, with burial at St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Taddonio was born April 1, 1954, in Ypsilanti, and died Oct. 12, 2002, in Ann Arbor. She lived most of her life in Washtenaw County. She was employed at Dapco.
Mrs. Taddonio enjoyed traveling, crocheting, fishing and was an avid reader.
Surviving are her husband of 10 years, Richard; children, Jeff (Vickie) Lobdell of Ann Arbor, Lisa (Chris) Stankowski of Gwinn, Mich., Tanja Taddonio of Belleville, Swane Clayton of Garden City and Scotti Clayton of Farmington Hills; mother, Blanche (Ditmar) Schmidt of Pinckney; brother, David (Diana) Boudrie of Ann Arbor; sister, Sandra (John) Grammatico of Pinckney; and three grandchildren, Crystal Potter, Christopher and Dakota Stankowski. There are family members who reside in the Livonia area.
Mrs. Taddonio was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Leo Boudrie, and brother, Melvin Lee Boudrie.

Dennis Ray Mathis

Mr. Mathis was born Nov. 2, 1935, in Detroit, and died Oct. 11, 2002, in Livonia. He retired in 1997. He grew up in southern Illinois and came to the Livonia community in 1988 from Chicago. He enjoyed all sports, loved his family and dogs.
Surviving are his mother, Katherine Zebik of Redford; sisters, Joyce (Bill) Walker of Lexington, Ky., Jacqueline (Joe) Belcher of Livonia and Carolyn (Jim) Robinson of Howell; and several nieces and nephews.
Lee F. Collins

Mr. Collins was born Nov. 19, 1923, in Detroit, and died Oct. 8, 2002, in Canton. He was an instrument repairman for Ford Motor Company. He was a member of Assemblies of God Church.

James John Demeter

John D. True

Mrs. Novack was born April 7, 1917, in Mt. Carmel, Pa., and died Oct. 7, 2002, in Livonia.

Raymond J. Filar
Visitation with the family of former Livonia resident Raymond Filar, 64, of Brevard, N.C. will be 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, 25225 Code Road, Southfield.
Mr. Filar died Sept. 22, 2002, in Brevard, N.C.
He was a graduate of Southfield High School and Michigan Technological University, where he received a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He spent his career working in the automtive industry, retiring from Daimler Chrysler in 2000. He was a member of numerous professional organizations including ASM and SAE, of which he was Detroit Chapter president in the 1970s.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara; children, Tracey and Adam; mother; brother; and grandchildren. Family members reside in Southfield, Plymouth, West Bloomfield and Auburn Hills.

Paul Edwin Pieti
Services for former Livonia resident Paul Pieti, 65, of Farmington Hills were Oct. 11 in First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills, with burial at Glen Eden Memorial Park. Officiating were Richard Pennala and Don Pennala.
Mr. Pieti was born Oct. 3, 1937, in Highland Park, and died Oct. 8, 2002, in Southfield.
He worked for Ford Motor Company-Dearborn as an engineer, retiring in 1996. He was a certified professional engineer. He was a 1955 graduate of Southfield High School and earned a degree in engineering from Michigan Tech in 1959. He also a Masters degree from Chrysler Institute in 1960.
Mr. Pieti enjoyed golf, traveling, skiing and being with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Virginia; sons, Brian (Mari) Pieti of Dassel, Minn., John Pieti of Montana and Todd Pieti of Ann Arbor; daughters, Karin (Clark) Moe of Dassel, Minn., Rebecca Pieti of Farmington, Minn. and Jessica (Chris) Eckerman of Northville; brothers, David (Patricia) Pieti of Colorado and Robert (Kathy) Pieti of Dassel, Minn.; and six grandchildren.
