MARY ANN DEWATER
A funeral Mass for Mary Ann DeWater, 65, of Livonia was June 11 in St. Priscilla Church, with burial at Oakland Hills Memorial Park, Novi.
Mrs. DeWater was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Detroit, and died June 7, 2002.
Surviving are her husband, Richard; son, Richard DeWater; daughters, Cheryl Kassar, Theresa Mercieca and Janet DeWater; three siblings; and five grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Manns-Ferguson Funeral Home.
ROBERT JOSEPH SKOTZKE
Services for Robert Skotzke, 69, of Livonia were June 12 in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. Officiating was the Rev. Dennis.
Mr. Skotzke was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Detroit, and died June 7, 2002, at his home in Livonia. He was an accountant and he served in the Navy.
Surviving are his brothers, Bernard Skotzke of Livonia, Lawrence Skotzke, Edward (Louise Hoffman) and Richard (Marilyn Licata); and sister, Joanne (Eugene) Swantick.
Mr. Skotzke was preceded in death by his brother, James, and sister, Eleonora.
Arrangements were made by Neely-Turowski Funeral Home.
WILLIAM SCRUGGS
Services for William Scruggs, 75, of Livonia were June 11 in St. Genevieve Catholic Church, with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield. Officiating was the Rev. John Blaska.
Mr. Scruggs was born Nov. 11, 1926, in Detroit, and died June 8, 2002, in Royal Oak. He was a civil engineer.
Surviving are his wife, Norma; children, Catherine (Jeffrey) Soehnlein, Christine (Pamela) Joyner, William Jr. (Janice), Daniel (Barbara), Michael (Deborah), Janet Scruggs (Karen Obluck), Mary Lynn (Brian) Byrd, John (Erin) and Julie (Jeff) Burgess; 23 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Scruggs was preceded in death by his son, James.

WILLIAM D. BINFORD, SR.
William Binford, Sr., 75, of Livonia died June 7, 2002, in Livonia.
Mr. Binford was born Oct. 22, 1926, in Richmond, Va. He was a shipping coordinator for a transportation company.
Surviving are his son, William (Michele); four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Binford was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, and daughter, Rebecca Dunlap.
Arrangements were made by L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, Westland.
THOMAS RICHARD KEENAN
Services for Thomas Keenan, 48, of Battle Creek were June 9 in Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, with burial at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Mich. Officiating was the Rev. Jennifer Sadd.
Mr. Keenan was born Sept. 17, 1953, in Detroit, and died June 5, 2002, in Detroit. He was employed by Veterans Hospital, Battle Creek. He was a former resident of Farmington Hills.
Surviving are his parents, Joseph and Marilyn Keenan of Farmington Hills; brother, Joseph Keenan of Waterford; sisters, Jeanne (Buddy) Kolt of Morrice, Julie (David Smythe) Keenan of Troy and Dorene (Michael) Pulgini of Commerce; grandfather, Rudolph Anderson of Livonia; and nieces, Sarah and Jennifer DeLaFlor, and Alexandra and Samantha Pulgini.
OWEN PAUL Washington, 85, of Livonia were June 10 in St. Matthew's United Methodist Church.
Mr. Florida; sister, Marcella (William) Ziemba of Dearborn; and eight grandchildren.
GEORGE BERNARD GAZLEY
A memorial service for George Gazley, 72, of Livonia will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 14, in McNamara Towers in Livonia.
Mr. Gazley was born Jan. 11, 1930, in Brighton, and died June 11, 2002, in Dearborn.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Yvonne; children, Janine Gazley, Sharon Good, Diane (Jeff) Monteruil, Kenneth Gazley, Keith Gazley and Terri (Dave) Blackwood; five siblings; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gazley was preceded in death by two siblings.
Arrangements were made by Fisher Funeral Home.
THOMAS E. HAY
Services for Thomas Hay, 62, of Livonia will be 7:30 p.m. today, Thursday, June 13, in Fisher Funeral Home, 24501 Five Mile Road, Redford Township. Visitation is 4 p.m. until time of service this evening.
Mr. Hay was born Oct. 24, 1939, in Huron, S.D., and died June 11, 2002, in Livonia. He was an avid bowler, trap shooter and fisherman.
Surviving are his son, Thomas (Ingrid) Hay; daughter, Tamera (John) Curry; brother, Henry Hay; and five grandchildren.
