DOROTHY HELEN JABER
Services for Dorothy Jaber, 86, of Livonia were May 27 in Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home in Farmington, with burial at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi. Officiating was the Rev. Terry Clause.
Mrs. Jaber was born July 28, 1915, in Chicago, Ill., and died May 23, 2002, in Southfield. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her children, Yvonne (Larry) Vartanian of Livonia, Roy "Vince" ( Karen) Jaber, Robert (Jan) Jaber, David (Artie) Edgetor and Dixie (Jack) Bouton; sister, Bertha Vincent of Florida; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jaber was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, son, Joseph, and sister, Evelyn Vincent.

PATRICK EMMETT WHALEN
Services for Patrick Whalen, 79, of Livonia were May 28 in St. Edith Catholic Church, with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit. Officiating was the Rev. Michael Cooney.
Mr. Whalen was born Oct. 31, 1922, in Detroit, and died May 24, 2002, in Livonia.
He was retired from Wayne County Road Commission. He came to Livonia from Plymouth in 1999. He was a member of the Irish Community.
Mr. Whalen was a veteran, serving in World War II, where he earned the Purple Heart.
Surviving are his wife, Henrietta; children, Susan (Rick) Weeks of Miami, Fla., Patrick (Mary Etta) Whalen of Commerce Twp., Randall (Cheryl) Whalen of West Bloomfield, Mary (Lester) Cisneros of Santa Fe, N.M., Susan (Eric) Peterson of Skwenta, Alaska, Anne Harris of Delray, Fla., Margaret (Mike) Egan of Lodi, Calif. and Amy (John) Whalen of Livonia; two sisters; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

JOHN "JACK" DUVAL JR.
Services for John "Jack" Duval Jr., 78, of Farmington will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, in Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave., Farmington with burial at Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia. Officiating will be the Rev. Joe Milosic. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today, Thursday, in the funeral home.
Mr. Duval was a former resident of West Bloomfield. He was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Battle Creek, and died May 28, 2002, at his home in Farmington. He was an engineer for Robert Shaw Mechanical Controls. He was previously employed with Johnson Controls and Clawson Concrete.
Mr. Duval attended Cooley High School in Detroit and University of Detroit where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a member of NRA 1255th Combat Eng. Assoicaiton, and Multi-Lakes Conservation Club. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are his sons, John (Robin) Duvall III of Clarkston, Michael (Lisa) of Redford and Patrick (Sara) of Livonia; daughters, Kathryn (Ed) Wangler of Rose City and Janet (Michael) Hack of Fenton; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Duval was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly.

RUTH JEAN TERRANA
Services for former Livonia resident Ruth Terrana, 80, of Farmington were May 25 in Covenant Community Church in Redford Township, with burial at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi. Officiating was the Rev. H. Dalton Myers.
Mrs. Terrana was born Aug. 26, 1921, in Redford, and died May 22, 2002, in Livonia.
She was an active member of Covenant Community Church for more than 50 years.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Charles; children, Gloria (Jerry) Lewis, Lorranie (Gary) Zimmerman and Sandra (Donald) Mueller; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

ROSE M. MOSKAL
Services for Rose Moskal, of Livonia will be 9:15 a.m. Monday, June 3, in Sajewski Funeral Home, 19111 W. Warren with burial at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights. Visitation is noon to 9 p.m. today, Sunday, with a Rosary at 3 p.m.
Mrs. Moskal died May 29, 2002.
Surviving are her daughters, Alicia and Rose Ann Stewart; siblings, Stella (Walter) Kopeck, Lottie (Alex) Nameth and Joseph (Irene) Crzywac; and grandson, Sean Stewart.
Mrs. Moskal was preceded in death by her husband, John, and sister, Frances (Ponzie) Ciesla.
CHARLOTTE L. MARCHETTI
A memorial service for Charlotte Marchetti, 93, of Livonia was May 30 in St. Aidan Catholic Church in Livonia.
Mrs. Marchetti was born Feb. 11, 1909, in Duluth, Minn., and died May 28, 2002, in Livonia. She was a personel secretary for Wayne County.
Surviving are her son, Charles (Maryanne) Doyle; daughter, Patricia (Ronald) Carzoli; 10 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Marchetti was preceded in death by her husband, Jack.

CHARLES EDWIN CAMPBELL, III
Services for former Livonia resident Charles Campbell, III, 77, of Farmington were June 1 in St. Andrew Episcopal Church. Officiating was the Rev. Aaron B. Zull from St. Andrew Episcopal Church.
Mr. Campbell was born Jan. 14, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio, and died May 28, 2002, in Farmington Hills.
He worked for M & T Chemical, retiring in 1989 after 41 years of service. He was a graduate of Scon High School, Toledo, and attended the University of Toledo.
Mr. Campbell was a Masonic Lodge member and he enjoyed golf, classical music, opera and bagpiper music.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Janet; son, Charles "Chip" (Lynn) Campbell of White House, Ohio; daughter, Connie (Mike) Hockman of West Chester, Ohio; sister, Elizabeth Keifer of Toledo, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Noah, Kurt, Scott, Kate and Anne.

Services for John Tomberg, 89, of Southfield were June 5 in Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Farmington, with burial in Atlantic Mine, Mich. Officiating was the Rev. Roland Troike.
Mr. Tomberg was born Aug. 11, 1912, in Atlantic Mine, Mich., and died June 2, 2002, in Southfield.
He was employed by Chrysler 1936-1971. He attended Atlantic Mine High School.
Mr. Tomberg was a member of the Finnish Center Association. He enjoyed biking, golfing and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Ida; daughters, Joan Riedl of Livonia and Sandra (Gary) Preston of Berkley; three grandchildren, Tara (Chris) Chwalek, Nicole Riedl and Tim Riedl; and one great-grandchild.
DORIS MARIE EDWARDS
Graveside services for former Livonia resident Doris Edwards, 84, of Las Vegas, Nev., will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Parkview Memorial Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. James Hoff of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Edwards was born May 17, 1918, in Illinois, and died May 27, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nev.
She lived in Livonia 1946-1990, and she was a homemaker and longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Livonia.
Surviving are her brother, Robert (Yvonne) Anderson of California; sisters, Jean (Donald) Mielbeck of California and Shirley Altschuler of Las Vegas; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, 1988.
