THELMA NEWSTEAD
Services for former Livonia resident Thelma Newstead, 95, were May 18 in Harry J. Will Funeral Home, with burial at Roseland Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Newstead died May 14, 2002. Surviving are her four grandchildren, Rhonda Burden, Russ Good, William Newstead and Paul Newstead; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Newstead was preceded in death by her husband, William, who was a Livonia police officer, Badge No. 1. She was also preceded in death by her son, William Newstead, Jr., and daughter, Shirley Good.
KATHERINE M. LLOYD-STELTER
Memorial services for Katherine M. Lloyd-Stelter, 50, of Ann Arbor, formerly of Livonia, were Friday, April 26, at Ward Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. John Quigley and the Rev. Kelly Voigt officiating.
Mrs. Lloyd-Stelter was born March 9, 1952 in San Diego, Indiana Northern in 1968. He formerly owned a Flat Rock insurance agency.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne and children Arron and Jeffrey.
Memorials may be made to Karmanos Cancer Institute of Huron Valley or to St. Clements Orthodox Church.
Voran Funeral Home in Dearborn handled the arrangements.
ELIZABETH DALY
Services for Elizabeth Daly, 103 of Livonia were May 1 at St. Sabina Catholic Church in Dearborn Heights, with the Rev. Joseph L. Romano officiating and burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Mrs. Daly was born July 25, 1898 in Scotland and died Sunday, April 28 in Livonia. She worked in assembly and was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis.
Survivors include daughters June Goralski and Elizabeth White, 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine Maher and her son, Hugh.
John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home in Garden City handled the arrangements.
CHARLES FRANKLIN LITTLE
Services and interment for Charles Little, 93, of Livonia, formerly of Redford were Wednesday, May 1, at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Thomas Eggebeen officiating.
Mr. Little was born Aug. 10, 1908, in St. Thomas, Ontario and died April 29 in Commerce Township.
He was the manager of fine paper products at Beecher, Peck and Lewis, where he had worked for nearly 48 years.
Survivors include a sister, Marion Little of Livonia, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Beatrice in 1998.
MARY "MITZI" DOLENCE
Services for Mary "Mitzi" Dolence, 87 of Novi, formerly of Madison Heights, Beverly Hills and Livonia, were Wednesday, May 1, from Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leonard Partensky officiating.
Mrs. Dolence was born May 30, 1914 in Pittsburg, Kan. and died April 30 in Novi.
She worked for Awrey Bakeries for 28 years as a supervisor and was a member of the Slovenian National Benefit Society. She graduated from high school in Yale, Kan.
Survivors include nephew, Michael (Muriel) Adamic of Milford and nieces, Patricia (William) Smith of Farmington and Rose Marie (Donald) Fritz of Traverse City.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, John Dolence and Andrew Werholtz.
